I have this figure shipping to me this week. Looking forward to receiving it. I also have my custom kitbashed Maverick figure that I put together in the months following the release of the Top Gun Maverick movie. It displays best with the oxygen mask off so you can see the face.

Absolutely 💯 I think I read some where that DID or similar company are going to do one and there are 1/6 kits out there if you want to build your own. Take care of yourself and happy collecting👍🏼

Certainly a a figure that looks better with the helmet held rather then worn. Great sculpt. DID have come a long way. In fact, a lot of the 1/6 companies have come a long way in the past decade. I'm not sure if DID are also Facepool. As they recently had a superb Cruise figure in Valkyrie come out.

Terrific figure, but as you say a lot of patience required🤬.The end result of your hard work however is a figure I think anyone would be thrilled to have in their collection. Likeness is definitely there for sure and I can only marvel at the intricacies of this figure 🤯. Absolutely 💯 DID figures can really test your patience and hand eye coordination and perhaps not recommend for collectors who like to just unbox and display….but a little effort can really pay off. The headsculpt is definitely on point👍🏼 Thanks as always, take care and happy collecting!

Also that survival radio is supposed to fit inside one of the pouches on the front of his vest

The only reason I didn’t get this is bc I preordered the VTS Hypersonic version instead but this is great. Of course it’s a little pricier since it’s not third party but DID makes quality stuff

@@goFigure623 yes the Vts is basically just like the Dragon Lady Pilot that Damtoys did

I was able to put everthing fine even the chin strap. Like for my copy everthing fit okay This is a great release and my first DID. I also just followed the video and it was pretty clear for me. the raido fits in the big pouch but you have to bend the antenae forward. It does leave some white stress mark on the plastic antenae but it’s okay it is hidden anyways. Now I want the saving private Ryan figures 😅

Absolutely 💯 a great release from DID👍🏼 hopefully the issues are unique to my copy it’s good to hear yours is ok. After shooting the review I figured out where the comms device goes by trail and error and with the head being hollow I can just squeeze it enough to get the chip strap to fit….barely. Still worried about the damage it could cause long term though😳. Thanks for comments and supporting the channel, take care of yourself and happy collecting👍🏼

it is a communication device and it goes into the pouch with yellow strap the antena should bend

Great vid! With regards to the patches, is it just a case of cutting some double-sided tape on each patch and sticking it straight onto the flight suit? I have one of these figures coming, but I'm a newbie to figures like this 😅

Thanks for your comments and supporting the channel👍🏼 the patches and insignia all have adhesive tape on them so it’s simply peel and attach👍🏼 If it’s your first DID figure I would recommend taking it slow and steady as they need some quite intricate work. I hope you enjoy the figure as much as I do, take care and happy collecting!
