Amen 🙏 Thank you for reacting to this special song! I sadly lost my Dad this past September 2021 & this was one of our special songs because my Dad couldn't walk or talk the last few months of his life, as these were side effects from a brain tumor. 💔 so I Moved back in with my parents to help mom with taking care of dad at home right to the day the Lord called him home. I'm heartbroken daily! I'm nearly 51 & I miss my Dad- it's crippling. This song is one of the songs 🎵 I'd hold hands with my dad, when he was bed ridden, & he'd sway his hand and lead me in a very special daddy~daughter dance. Crying just telling my story. I can only imagine when I see my Savior with my dad one day! ❤ Jesus is the way and truth and life - that is who gives me Hope. 😊 Praise God!🙏 Thanks again Half!! Means a Lot to hear it again! Mercy me's "happy dance" video is hilarious.

I've heard this song over 100 times and I cry every time. Just knowing God's mercy for us, leaves me grateful for knowing His love.

Half, there’s also a movie called “I Can Only Imagine” it’s based on this guys story. My mother passed away in March 2018. In April at Easter, I went to see the movie with a friend. I cried the entire movie. In early March out of the blue, my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. And I hate to give this away, but at the end of the movie it shows that this guy’s father Had pancreatic cancer and was dying. It was meant for me to be there that day. I’m glad you like the song. For me it’s very personal and spiritual at this point. Thank you for doing the reaction!

@@shellykovach2211 I have seen the movie, a few weeks after I buried my Mama. I started crying at the beginning and didn’t stopped. My mama died from end-stage pancreatic cancer!!!

Anyone who is a believer has thought about that day! I am thankful these gifted guys put it into words and music for me and many others!

I can't get through this song without crying. One of the most powerful Gospels of all time.

I’m not religious but this song always gave me chills. I didn’t cry but my eyes did sweat a little each time I hear it. I literally can only imagine something more great and more infinite than time and space. The Lord.

The lead singer is named Bart Millard. He is from Texas. The song was inspired by the death of his dad. His dad was extremely abusive and when he discovered that he was dying of Cancer he changed his life and committed his life to the Lord. There is a movie as well that is based on his life story.

They played this at my sons funeral 😢 Beautiful song! Hope everyone is ready for that day to come 😊

When I was 16 they came to our prayer group in school he said he wrote the song after losing his father 4 days later it was played at the funeral of a 16 year old girl from our prayer group the day after they came to sing at our prayer group she had been pulling out of her driveway and her breaks went out sending her into the path of a semi

I so love our Lord and Savior. He died and took the place of our sins. He rose on the 3ed day and is alive today. Praise God.

I cry and think about my mom when i hear this song, she loved this song so much. She died last Easter with cervical cancer, and its still rough for me and my lil sister. But she is Home with Our Creator, with the man she was most in love with, GOD and the place she wanted to be more than anything, Heaven. I miss her everyday, but songs like this always light up my mood when i hear them bc i think if her. and Cher- Turn back time and believe was some of her favorites

This cd “Almost There” featuring this moving anthem was my first ever 💿 to buy as a teenager back in 2001. I later played it in 2004 at my Dad’s funeral (cancer). Much love and encouragement to whoever reads this. That resurrection day is gonna be something powerful. Checkout 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and 2 Corinthians chapter 4 to get a glimpse of what’s to come and how to live in the here and now. Grace, joy, and peace to all. Mercy Me has even been around for years doing beautiful Christian music. He is a true believer and a wonderful performer. This is one of the more serious numbers. He has some lighter numbers also, yet he never strays from the Good News of Jesus.

My other favorite of theirs is "Even If" ❤

Lead singer, Bart Millard is from Texas. This song was written about his dad. His dad was a monster to him through his teen years but after getting cancer he came to the Lord shortly before his death.

Bart Millard is from Greenville Texas which is where I live. I met Bart years before this song came out. I can remember them playing at local churches and that is where I first heard them. Bart wrote this song about his father which is the inspiration for the song. The group name Mercy Me comes from his grandmother as it was a common phrase of her's. MM has a lot of great songs. One of my favorites is Happy Dance.

I am not huge into this type of music, but that said, this song is amazing and joyful. When I picture meeting the Christ, this is how I believe my reaction would be. Unbelievable melody, the sentiment is beyond spiritual. God bless Mercy Me for this wondrous tune.

I lost my mom 7 yrs ago due to ALS. She was only 59. The worst day of my life was to see her take her last breathe. But I know she is in a much better place. The lead singers name is Bart MIllard. The bands name is Mercy Me because when he told his grandmother they were starting a band she said, "Mercy Me". His dad was an abusive monster to him as a kid, and was also abusive to Barts mother, who left, and left Bart with his dad, because of the abuse. Then when he was a teenager his dad got cancer and changed and became a CHRISTian man before he died. Long story short, if you are interested there is a movie called I can only imagine about Barts life. It is REALLY good. It tells all I just told you plus much much more.
