​@@ApolloDiscGolf exactly! 100 ft is 30,3m, 300ft =91m, 100m is 330 ft. Learn that and you're set :)

Great vid! coming from Sweden I love the little popups with convertions into m/s and meters.

I love the feel of these. We just got some in at my local shop and they're kinda the perfect hybrid of the 15-year run and the Mind Benders. Plastic is firmer than the MBs, but the stock ones are flatter like the MBs. I'm not sure if I need one for my bag currently, but a lot of people are going to absolutely love it.

Yeah, I can see some people being bummed that they are more stable than the Mind Bender (at least the one I got). But I can see some people being pumped about it!

@@ApolloDiscGolf I've talked to a couple folks who picked one up and they're definitely not all that level of overstable. Not Mind Bender understable, but a nice middle ground.

Thank you for showing good throws unlike a ton of reviews that just do 5 tosses and whatever comes out the hand is what the viewer gets.

It's such a great disc!

I was hoping the new C-Line MD1 was similar to the anniversary one from the mystery box a few years ago. I love that disc for dead straight with some stability and would prefer to retire the special edition and use the stock instead. Sound like it could be the case so I'll pick up a few tomorrow.

Another great review! I seem to gravitate toward your take more than anyone else’s.The original MD (Innova) is probably my all time favorite disc. I wanted the Mind Bender to be a remake of that so badly. Unfortunately I was a little underwhelmed with its stability. This stock MD1 looks like it is going to be perfection!

Yeah I actually never threw the original MD! Was that just the Mako mold? or something else entirely?

Honestly I don’t know which mold or combination of molds the original MD was. The few I have are the classic stiff c-line with a slight dome. I naturally throw with a bit of anhyzer so that little extra stability, compared to the Mind Bender, is money every time!

The green Mindbender are most stable for some reason. I tried them all.

That Mako3 is gorgeous!

I ordered one I wanted it to replace my lizzotle hex bc let’s be honest if I lose it I’m not buying another one they’re way too expensive because they aren’t being made rn I feel like they will beat into a straight with no fade midrange

The quality of the picture on this on the highest resolution is obscenely good, what camera do you use? Also the way your mind bender flies is wild compared to my green one. Mine flies like a slightly seasoned buzzz.

I am using a Sony FX30 with a Tamron 17-70 lens. And I have heard that there are more stable Mind Benders out there! I heard the purple ones are a little more stable as well

That's actually going to be my first Patreon video 😂 But I will definitely be making some content around Blackhoof for the KZread Channel! And it will be featured in a lot of videos, especially when I am reviewing discs good for woods. That might be my go-to over Heritage for those reviews!

I haven't thrown the new MD1 but if its more stable does it fly more like the MD3? I have the mind bender and the MD3 in my bag and love them. I would love to see the difference between the new MD1 and the MD3. Keep up the good work.

I am guessing that it is right in between both of those. Like it might fly farther with a straighter finish than an MD3... But I may need to test that out and make a short/reel on it or something!

Interesting.....I bag a Pathfinder and Mind Bender to compliment eachother. Does the color change the stability at all with Discmania C-Line?

Maybe? I have only thrown the Blue one in this video! I didn't try the other colors. There very well could be a color that is still less stable like the Mind Bender! And I also heard there are some colors of the Mind Bender that are more stable as well.

I don't care what anybody says, I use my grace on hole 4, forehand shot and lace it everytime. I'm no pro so mid for me ain't happening. I threw that day you filmed this. Had the long curly hair. Wondered when you were dropping this video.

Oh yeah, if you have a good forehand that it totally the play on hole 4! I just don't have that trustworthy of a forehand to get that power on it without turning it over to get lost among the long grass on that hill 😂

I love my mind bender and I have a mystery box MD1 that I am really curious about. The problem is we still have two feet of snow and I haven't played since Dec 😭

I will have to test them out! But from my experience, the MD3 finishes pretty hard when the MD1 is still pretty straight!

I feel like the drive on hole 6 was perfect for where the basket usually is 😂

I bag a Mind Bender and a MD3, I wonder how the new more stable MD1 compares to an MD3. Especially since they are less stable than the old MD3, at least for me

I may need to test that out! I might do that and make a short/reel on it... I'm not sure! I am guess that it sits in between in stability and the MD1 goes a bit further with a straighter finish... but that's just a guess! I will have to throw them side by side to see!

@Apollo Disc Golf awesome! I didn't bag the first C-line MD1 because it flew very similar to my MD3. I preferred the flat top and rim depth of the MD3. I'm guessing you're right about this run being somewhere in the middle between the 25th anniversary run and the mind bender. The new shallower mind bender feels amazing and I'd love that feel with a more overstable finish, but I'm guessing the MD3 will still give me the fade that the mind bender doesn't

The Hexes are money!

Do you ever weigh the discs? Most of the time, they are off and some colors are more stable than others. More or less they might be more stable really depending on the variables at the time they were made like humidity and temperature. I’ve had discs be up to 4 grams off the weight shown.

I do not weight the discs! I just go off what all they are marked at and throw mostly max weight stuff. But I don't really bother weighting them myself!

The way you're talking it seems like big arm folks were complaining about the MindBender being too straight. Kind of hilarious considering it was one of Simon's favorite runs of disc ever. Great review tho

I was more talking about power players! not necessarily big armed players... Like Simon can absolutely crush, no question about it! But he is actually not so much a power player! He throws a lot of finesse stuff and hyzer flips! So the Mind Bender fit his style of play, but someone like a Ricky Wysocki is more of a power thrower or power player, they don't throw much understable stuff and like to manipulate more stable discs. So someone like that might like the more stable MD1 over the Mind Bender!

@@ApolloDiscGolf yeah, my champ mako is definitely more stable but feels different in the hand. The feel of the star and MB is perfect but the champ feels awkward to me for some reason.

The new MD1's release Wednesday! They might not be the same plastic or stamp as the Mind Benders... But they should be more readily available since they are the stock run!

discmania dropped the ball again .. i had 2 of these on call at my local shop .. and it’s crazy he told me weeks ago they weren’t gonna sell .. ofc he gets to get hands on them first as a dealer but i asked about them and he kinda shrugged .. we all wanted mindbenders as casual players the slightly less stable fits us .. i can now cancel that order what a flop discmania

Who knows! The Blue ones might be really stable and some other colors might be closer to the Mind Bender... Or the S-Line ones might be a little more understable? who knows!
