Hi Paul. It's great to see the price change didn't affect you 🙂However, that was not the case for me. I sell mainly coloring books and am in a very competitive niche. I tried to raise my price from 6.99 to 7.99, but my bestsellers immediately took a hit. Had to lower the price price again on most books because I'd rather not lose my bestseller badge. This has resulted in a pretty great loss in my overall Amazon income, which is my main income. I have to run ads in my niche, and cpc is so expensive. Now that my royalty is lower, I don't earn as much profit. So that sucks! Still trying to find a new balance.

Thank you for sharing. I guess some niches may be more sensitive to price changes than others. I hope you manage to recover your royalty levels to the pre-fee changes.

I love the way you explain things. Money and math are my worst subjects. I'm an artist so numbers are not fun for me. But the way you explained it, it made complete sense! I've already created 3 coloring books and some planners with your help and It's only been 1 month and I already have 10 orders. Thank you so much, Dr. Marles

For info : in France, Amazon has also increased the fee for paperback and now our government has just obliged online bookstores like Amazon to apply a 3€ delivery charge per order or free delivery for orders of 35€ or more (books only). It's a double penalty...

Hello Paul very good channel I could tell the same about my experience into Amazon KDP the last 7 years, I was scare to change a little bit my prices but I did improve into the contend every 3 years and we keep go on my books are non fictions but a taking notes, my rank to rise is $1 - $7 right now! It can sometimes take up to a week. There can be a number of reasons but it should go through soon. If not then you could always contact KDP support.

Yes, it would increase the cost a lot more and I wouldn't recommend it if you're priceing at $6.99

It takes awhile for the keywords to get in the system. I’ve heard it can take one-three months

It can take a while for books to start ranking. It depends on many factors - the niche, the competion, what keywords you chose, how well they are optimised, the click through rate which is largely dependent on cover designs.

If one doesn't sell anything on the kdp, because you put your back details in, when you sign up, are you still charged for every book you have or is it quite safe with you not being charged anything?

Hi, Paul! I have started running ads recently with my budget set around $2-3 per day and bids at $0.1-0.3 range depending on on the niche. However, I was not getting too many impressions. Then I have increased my bids to $0.4-0.5 and changed bidding strategy to up and down. Now, I am getting impressions but my budget runs out quickly. Should I increase my daily budget? But I am worried about spending too much on ads. Although I am getting more impressions, but those impressons do not convert into sales. By the way, does that "Spend" amount shown in the campaigns manager include previous days' amounts or does it show only today's ad expenses? I.e. is it running total or not?

Hello Paul, thanks for the excellent video. I have a question: I created a Sketchbook last year and two copies of it were sold for the first time this month. Its size is 8.5 x 11 inches and I charged $5.99 for it. Should I increase the price to $6.99 or leave the price as it is? Thank you.

At $5.99 you are probably making very little profit and so I would increase it to $6.99.
