I always enjoy your videos, they make me happy. I always look forward to seeing more. Never had a negative thing to say. But others always have something negative to say. To be honest, I can’t find one thing negative. We all go through hard times and make mistakes. That’s life. But you both have fixed it and you both moved on. Don’t let other people depict how you live your lives. Their opinion don’t matter, especially if they have something negative to say.

I used to watch the vlog in middle and high school. Had a broken family and didn’t want a husband or kids, until watching your videos every day for years and seeing an example of what a happy family can look like. I distinctly remember refreshing the page waiting for Brock’s birth vlog, I was a teenager but it moved me! I am married with two kids now!!

I always thought it was funny when people would say "wow you're posting your whole life online" because, like you said, it's literally only 15-20 minutes of an entire day or 15-20 minutes across a couple days. You guys never did anything that compromised your children's safety and I think the biggest thing you guys always showed was how to let each child be their own person and how unconditional love has such a profound impact on kids. Letting them have a wide array of hobbies and interests with support versus boxing them into a certain hole. As a person that works in counseling school aged children (I used to work with kids and now my focus is teens) it was always heartwarming to see such a great imperfect home that was filled with unconditional love. I work with so many kids that don't have that and it's really a foundational piece that can help ANY kid get through ANYTHING if they have that solid base. I have always thought highly of you guys and how you navigated parenting but also managing your personal struggles also.

I can’t believe it’s been 15 years! I watched my first Shaytards video when I was 16/17 and now I’m almost 30!! 😱 it felt like just yesterday I was running around gathering snacks and going to our family desktop computer to binge watch vlogs that I missed. I still do that 😂 but you all were my escape as my family felt like it was falling apart. I always looked up to you all for family Values, seeing how supportive and loving you all were and how you made time for one another gave me a sense of hope when it came to families. Now at 27 I’ve seen my own family work on healing and it’s been a blessing. I still find comfort and warmth watching your alls vlogs. Thank you all for 15 years!

imo i would say you guys put your whole life online. simply because you show both the good and bad times and that’s what life is. it’s the good the bad the ugly. and you guys have been open with us about some of the hardest times in your guys’ lives. and thats something i appreciate so much.

I haven’t watched y’all in like 4-5 years, it’s crazy how old all the kids have gotten. Time really flies.

Congratulations Emmi 🎉 I never learned how to drive. I’m 35 and I don’t drive lol. I have really bad anxiety and I watch too many movies with car accidents and way too many horror movies. I remember when my sister started driving and my dad let her drive his car, I was in the backseat with them, she got scared and had to pull over. My mom was always scared when my brother drove. My 16 year old nephew is learning how to drive. I’m a little nervous for him to be driving.. 😅

Shay and Collette I just want you to know how much you and your family are loved.I have been watching you all since 2012 .. I'm a single mother since my husband passed away Jan 1 2021 . Congrats emmi on passing your test! Crazy to watch all your kids grow up and driving now. I’ve been driving for now 10 years and that includes going through the stages we have in Ontario Canada when it comes to getting our full license, and even in the decade of driving when my mom was still around she would always be nervous driving with me😄

When I was practicing driving to get my permit, my mom would always yell at me and stress me out but when my grandpa took me, he was always very calm and made me feel like I was making progress. Also you guys are definitely meant to vlog. You're KZread's first family and there will be no other family vloggers like you!

I remember the day dad took me and my brother to an empty parking lot with two garbage cans and taught us to parallel park. What has helped me is my parents helping me learn things in stages, not too much at once. Walking alongside us in learning. Yelling and impromptu unplanned car drive takeover bits is not fun! My mom still misses our drives and chats, so I try to be more intentional to go on trips with her. I appreciate them even more now. Every vlog, I enjoy what you choose to share within the boundaries being INTEGRUS! I didn't know that word's form!

I remember watching your channel as a kid and wondered if you still made video! My family is from Pocatello and I live in Boise! I would LOVE to collaborate with you guys one day!

I have 3 daughters and my youngest just got her license a couple Months ago…. I can honestly say it’s a really good feeling knowing all 3 of my kids now have their licenses and I no longer have to worry about them passing or not passing the test. On the other hand, it’s a bit scary knowing they are out driving on the streets along with all the “crazies”. 😊

I’ve got to say I loved the chat at the end . When everything went down I wasn’t on the ‘attack band wagon’ . We are human and make mistakes . I always rooted for your family and am happy to see you filming regularly again .

I’m 23 , but didn’t get my license until 21. What helps me the most is reminding myself that i am fully in control of the car. It’ll only do what I make it do. When I tell myself that I know what I’m doing and doing it well, I’m more confident and I do better. If you tell yourself the opposite it will happen

Congrats, Emmi! Wow, the kids are all grown up. I remember when I got my drivers license, I was 24 LOL. Because of my household situation I didn't start driving till I was 20, I had started college which was across town and I had to learn how to drive on spot, getting myself to and from school. I was driving for 4 years without a license or permit and I finally got pulled over one night when I was picking up my younger sister from work. The police gave me a ticket and strongly advised me to get my license before the court date, which I totally did. I passed the drivers test on my first try, that ticket lit a fire under me and motivated me to acquire my license ASAP.

Teen driver here - my foster parents being calm but firm was super helpful and I really appreciated being able to work as a team ❤❤

It's been years since I've seen a video from you guys but I grew up with yall! Glad to see you guys are still posting!

The kids and all the cousins are so grown up. It's crazy. Just missing Brailee. I've never heard integrity used as an adjective (integrious) before lol but It's actually the perfect word to describe the way in which you guys have chosen to share your lives through vlogging. It never felt like you were forcing a camera in your kids faces when they didn't want it, or having it out in inappropriate times for views, which does feel really distasteful on some other channels. So hats off to you, the only channel I can say hand on heart has never felt wrong. Great job Shaytards!! 👏👏 I watched you before my kids were born and without even knowing it you gave me an idea of the type of parent I wanted to be, so thank you. A truly loving family and I for one am grateful even to have a little view into it.

Hey Shaytards!! I’m just about to go for my driving test soon!! Really nervous, but this is one of my goals to have my license and help my family out a bit more with shopping and doctor’s appointments. I’ve always been scared to drive and stuff but I’m ready! ❤️❤️

Emotional emotions. I feel you, daddytard. I feel where you are coming from especially in the height of that controversy. Personally, I didn't pay any heed to anything negative that people were saying because they weren't helping you and your family's situation. The only thing that was going through my mind during that time with regards to your family is that if all of it was true, I hope it resolved in the best possible way for all of you. I say that because it's similar to how people reacted when my parents were separating back in the late 90s. People's comments did not help and, in fact, exacerbated the negativity of our situation. So during the height of your controversy, I was one of the few who was genuinely praying and hoping that things will work out for the best for you since my family experienced something similar. Fast forward to today, and I'm still genuinely glad that things are moving forward, I'm hoping for the best, for all you. :)
