Not really "getting over". Booth rent varies. And I KNOW my former hairstylist was easily bring in that amount in 1 day.....just one day......... of working from 8 AM to 6 PM. Hair care can be very expensive.

She's pretending to be a 'college student'. A very OLD college student.

Honestly, I understood what the girl(plaintiff) was saying by she rents a space for her business and within the salon there are 4 private booths that the other ladies can conduct their own business. Their lease with the with the plaintiff is totaling $1,200 but payments are to be made every week in the amount of $300.00. The plaintiff's lease with the building owner is not relevant to the case, unless the building owner was to sue the plaintiff for breach of contract. But if the owner is fine with her conducting this type of business within the space leased then there's no issue. Sometimes I agree with Judge Judy, but other times like this I feel like she's beating a dead horse because it makes no difference how much she pays the owner or the square footage of the entire salon as the defendant's private booth is not that of the entire allotted space. Obviously, you have to make the show interesting so I take it with a grain of salt, but I just wasted 4 minutes listening about something that was easy to understand. It always surprises me when people say or do something that normally people in their city or culture would do and Judge Judy doesn't know what that is because of.... obvious reasons.
