The only way SVG was not going to win that race was if someother driver who is not up to the task took him out and that`s a fact. I turned off after he was taken out.

Blame everyone you want, but Briscoe WAY off the racing line, in the wet, sliding part sideways out of control into SVG cost him a good finish. Inexperience is all.

He showed poor car control, staying locked up all the way, no excuse, just bad driving. In V8 supercars he more than likely would have been penalised for careless or reckless car control.

Yip, I turned the TV off after The Giz crashed out. However I remembered my next fav driver, Kyle Larson, was still racing and tuned back in shortly after. . . . needless to say I did not see the end of the race. LOL.

Australia here. I stayed tuned till the end, but the vibes in Chicago resonated with some of the really badly decided and managed Supercar rounds or Bathurst weekends, where the race could have been much better.

Gotta admit.. having your favourite driver punted from the shadow realm by a Muppet kinda killed it for me.. i love a bit of bash n grind, but nascar is way too lenient on idiots n arseholes.. dudes be smacking competitors into the wall all the time, with little to no recourse.. Straight up, Very few nascar drivers would last half a day at bathurst

SVG pit stop was terrible, 1st to 4th and maybe he wouldn't have been hit. NASCAR should introduce a rev match gearbox for drivers that can't heal and toe down shift, it's embarrassing to watch drivers locking their rears in a straight line

Can’t blame the pit crew. I was mad at them initially but who would’ve thought that could’ve happened to him. Blame Chase Briscoe for running out of talent

I don’t know if you guys realised the time of day it was for us Down Under. Watching the F1 at midnight, staying up to watch Scotty Mac in the Mid Ohio race in Indy. Then to watch Shane clean sweep in Chicago only for Briscoe to be an amateur & take Shane out. Of course we turned that shyt off. I was pissed. Early hours on a Monday morning. Many of us had to shoot off to work with little to no sleep. Just know that Chase Briscoe isn’t welcome Down Under

I don’t think so. His pit crew lost him three spots at the pit stop which put him back to 5th and in range of lesser drivers. None of the front 5 guys crashed on the restart. I totally agree they need to start the race earlier so it’s dry. It’s a phenomenal race track when it’s dry. 😊

Shane said in his post race interview that he did not like been in front of the pack in those race conditions so I feel he was happy with where he was after that pit stop. It just dumb blaming his pit crew and even dumber going onto social media and posting that nonsense.

The pit crew lost it for him. They were too slow. Teams fault. They screwed up the pit stop. It was too slow. They blew everything that SVG achieved in stage 1. He was the leading car, fisrt to pit but far from the first to leave the pits. He got jumped by 4 cars in the pit stop. Putting him back behind cars that he had already paseed, back in traffic with it all to do again. But this time in very bad conditions. The bad pit stop put him in a much more vunerable situation than he otherwise should have been. Lost all his advantage, control of the race and track postion. Very poor visibility at the restart because of all the spray coming off tge cars in front of him, and back in traffic with muppets behind him with little to no wet whether driving experience. Your right. As soon as SVG was out, I turned it off.

As guttered as I am that he only got a 3rd of the race in, I completely disagree that the incident was his pit crews fault. That is just dumb thinking. Shane said himself he did not like being out in front in those race conditions. He was exactly where he wanted to be at that point in the race. The race incident was merely part and parcel that is the type of racing that is NASCAR.

Plus, made for some more exciting racing. He was bout to put on a show in those conditions. Not the pit crews fault. As mud as they are. Not their fault. Shane was winning for anywhere on that grid

Why don't they just make it a time certain race no mater the laps? That gives race control more options. Have stage cautions on time 25%and 60%Of race time , this will give the pit crew options now mater the weather and the viewers will get a more exciting race . It will be a unique format for nascar to make a true street race stand out not to mention the ratings.

Exactly. I turned my Kayo ff. After that. Pa😂rt because SVG. But part because Briscoewas an asshole. His experience at this level? Bullshit. How massive would it have been for the sport if SVG got the double? And not enough green laps anway in both classes. A shit show really. Nascar stuffed up. Historyin the making.
