VICTORY!!! The Kubota powered CJ5 is one of my favorite projects! Best part though is when the oil shoot out.... dead silence......"Oh Crap"....... Ha Ha Ha. Congrats on the Motor! Also Thanks again for the Stickers!!

Nice little reefer motor. Lots of junk yards and places that sell storage trailers will have parts for that motor. Good video.

There are SO many things different on your engine than mine! Glad the starter worked and it sounds great! I ended up bypassing my mechanic lift pump and used a lift pump in my tank designed for a cummins I believe. It made bleeding the fuel system SO much easier! Just crack the nuts from the hard lines to the injectors and open the bleeder valve and let the lift pump in the tank do the rest of the work!

I'll have to look at that cause that was a lot of pumping to prime the system 😂

A good 10 minutes to sit through and then play music when it finally starts is such a slap in the face for Diesel fan... Not nice...

You've got a crew cab. Already had that single cab. So I'm guessing... extended cab to complete the family! Excited to see the Kubota bring new life to the Jeep as well!

Just got home from picking it up!

89 two wheel drive, long bed, red and white, with and automatic transmission. That's my guess

thats gonna be fun in the Jeep...are they as easy to mod/make power as the Cummins 12v are?

The Kubota engines from the factory are detuned something like 70% for reliability so you can really turn the wick up on these little engines. You won't get 12v power out of them but for their compact size and weight they do fantastic!

Yeah, it won't be near as powerful as a Cummins but for how light they are they do produce great power with is perfect for this tiny jeep.
