So... it seems each onslaught is being onslaughted four times, since there are two other onslaughts that are each doubling each other. Which means there are 3 x 2^4 = 48 doubler effects being applied to iron man. Which would mean the base score of 27 is being doubled 48 times. 27* 2^48. That would be a true total of 7`599`824`371`187`712 power, aka 7.6 quadrillion. When there was just two, that would be 2x 2^2 = 8 doublers, on 17 base power = 4352, so the logic matches with the game's display @11:27
@tomlowe4666

I can’t make the maths work properly myself, but seeing 3 onslaughts interacting with Blue Marvel gives other cards +1024 power, meaning that the actual base number is being doubled 1024 times, leading to a MUCH higher (or lower in the first case) final power total

@UCLL3HSgJNaDiS7wmjOcZWow I like the theory here and it may well be close to correct. However, the numbers don’t quite add up - if you search for the Blue Marvel / 3 onslaught combination (see e.g. outofcards article “5 MARVEL SNAP Decks for the Bar Sinister Featured Location” for a board image), you can see that cards are being given +1024 power, so your theory is adding in an extra factor of 2 that doesn’t seem to be borne out in the game’s calculations - there might be a similar way things could be worked out though that leads to one less factor of 2?

Sure! The math gets a little screwy in the middle but there are two pieces of circumstantial evidence in other comments to prove that the numbers are correct, so here goes nothing. First play is to fill up all of the slots with nightcrawler so that he can play a single Iron Man on turn 5 Turn 5 comes around, he moves one nightcrawler and places Iron Man to fill the one slot On turn 6, all the other nightcrawlers get moved and Onslaught is allowed to take up the other 3 slots, and now it’s time for the funny math If you watch the numbers carefully during the second game, you’ll see that as each Onslaught reveals itself, we get the numbers 36, 4352, and the integer limit (basically, the number you get when you have a binary number that is 32 digits long and is entirely 1s. For precision’s sake, the number is (2^32) - 1). So, first Onslaught doubles Iron Man’s effect once. We can check that because 36/9 (9 being the power of Iron Man and Onslaught added together with Blue Marvel on the field) is 4, or 2^(2^1), when the normal Iron Man effect is to multiply by 2^1 Onslaught 2 comes in and we get 4352. 4352/17 (our new power total) gets us a multiplier of 256, or 2^8. This is because the Onslaught effects trickle down. Starting with just Iron Man, we get a multiplier of 2^1. Onslaught 1 changes that exponent to 2, and we have a total of 2^2. Onslaught 2 sees that there is an Onslaught already in the location, so it doubles the exponent twice to get 2^(2*4), or 2^8. Finally, the Onslaught 3 comes in and the fun REALLY begins. Again, we’re going to follow the trickle down chain. Iron Man by himself is 2^1, 1 Onslaught is 2^2, 2 Onslaughts is 2^8, so how the heck do we push up to 2^1024 so fast? Well, Onslaught 3 see a 2^8 Iron Man, a normal Onslaught, and a doubled Onslaught. So its effect is to double all of the previous effects, making a 2^16 Iron Man, and what are now a doubled and a quadrupled Onslaughts. Now Onslaught 3 gets boosted by the doubled and quadrupled Onslaughts to get an effect of 2*4*8, or 64. Multiplying Iron Man’s exponent by 64 gives you, a final value of, you guessed it, 2^1024. I literally spent 3 hours doing this. It is 6 in the morning, I have an exam in 3 hours, and I spent 3 hours figuring out why numbers in funny card game go up so fast. Such is life, I guess. I hope this explanation helped, because I don’t see it getting much simpler lol

@@caioesteves9027 it’s actually a music theory exam lol. But yeah that happened because his opponent did a similar setup but using Wong to double on reveal abilities and Hazmat to reduce the power of every other character on the screen by 1. Basically, the multiple Wongs made Hazmat’s ability go off so many times that Iron Man and Onslaught have a net negative power level, and Iron Man still multiplied that negative number by 2^1024. The total power at that location started at 33 and went down by 4 for every ability usage (I believe there were like 16 of them?) and eventually went below zero. That’s how it went super negative

@@arcanelizard4646 Dude this was insane math lol Buuuut however, I still have a question. How and where does all this became negative. I hope the test you had were a math one because if it was , you probably nailed it !!! :D

Jajajajaja 😂😂😂😂😂
22 to the power of 16 = 22^16 = 3,011,361,496,339,065,143,296 Thats 3 Septillion and change 😂 What I'm curious about is how the math on a Hazmat + 3 Wongs stacks up. Its the Wongs affecting Wongs that I'm insure of. Is it previous or subsequent?

The Wong Hazmat play turned the Iron Man Onslaughts into -10^16 = -10,000,000,000,000,000 Negative 10 quadrillion lol

Wong doesn’t interact with other Wongs. Wong is a Ongoing effect that doubles On Reveal effects, so it’s just 2x2x2=8

Regina is the main mean girl, it sounds a lot like Regis, how appropriate. But uh, I think Snap has already happened. It's sitting at 5 million+ players and videos are sometimes getting more views than HS videos.
