Man I don't know what to say. You went there and crawled around in parking doing major work on this firebird just for your fans. Instead of just showing up and signing a few t shirts. This kind of behavior is why I like you and your family so much. I promise you that if you stay like you are, your going do some amazing things

Hey Derek! I absolutely love your channel and of course your comedy keeps me wanting to watch as many episodes as possible! You keep this 62 year old retired police officer from LAPD happy and laughing 😂 Eventhough I've lived in the Philippines 🇵🇭 full time for the past 5 years, watching you work on your projects brings me right back to the USofA! Thank you for what you do and for giving me something to smile and laugh about! I love you and your family and I especially enjoy the episodes that include your Son! Well done my friend! Keep up the great and inspiring work and please never change your genus scene of humor 😀 👏 😄 😊

Derek had committed to signing shirts for an hour this afternoon and the line just never stopped, and neither did he. People were waiting to see him, get his autograph and he delivered way beyond what was promised! He handed out free merch to kids. Just a wonderful guy. I just hope he has enough time to get the car finished too.

Seeing you having a little person help out with the engine swap and giving him a thrill like that almost melts another dad-heart. Keep being an outstanding man, for the young ones to see, meet, and experience. Somehow, you being just that father figure makes your channel so much more than a car/garage channel. It's a family channel. I don't know how to express that.
I've been watching VGG for quite some time now almost since the beginning.. The amount of work he put in to this is incredible. This man bust his butt to get to where he's at and he still humble he doesn't take his fame and get to his head he doesn't go to a show sign a few t-shirts and do some quick interactions. He literally brought his show live to where people his fans could watch him in action and interacts with everybody. He truly realizes that he wouldn't be here without his fan base I love it when an influencer actually influences in a good way and gives back to his fans the way he does this is one of the best KZreadrs out there

Definitely felt the Roadworthy Rescue film crew was there for this. Very well shot (not that the standard VGG filming is anything to blow snot at !!)
Derek is the most dedicated person I have ever seen to his fans. He is truly amazing how much time and effort he puts in to interacting with everyone. It was amazing how he let that young man help him jack up the engine. And to give put little bits to bystanders. This why he is one of the most loved person on KZread. Don't ever change Derek.

"A cherry picker is a device used to test the tensile strength of whatever you forgot to disconnect" Thank you Derek, to all of you that make this stuff possible! Dang fine job! Even people like me who've done this sorta stuff our whole lives honestly love to watch 'one of us' working on their own stuff! Keep it comin!!!
@Powerstroke98

We used those cherry pickers back in the '60's...I thought by now, you'd push a button, and that engine would slowly gain height, without the need for all the pumping! We use to do this sort of stuff WAY back when, and it was as much fun, as Derek seems to be having, albeit we usually had two or three, so some help was available as needed. :)
Something symbolic to all this, Derek is now as big as Roadkill was back in the day, can turn up and do projects live with the kids and people love to watch and meet him. Great times for the family and fully deserved, this man has worked his tail off to get where he is and most of us know it.
What a brave man. This job would be so much easier in his shop. But he does this for us. Thanks!

Without any doubt!!!! Been a loyal fan since VGG hit KZread!!!!
I have said this before numerous times, and I will say it again....... There is no other channel out there that I enjoy watching more than Derek and VGG! Every single episode is entertaining and fun to watch and believe it or not it's also very informative. I learn something new every time I watch VGG! Derek and his family are easily the most down to earth, humble, kind, incredible people and truly a joy to watch. I applaud and thank you for all of your hard work and countless hours spent making these videos. You are a true role model and an inspiration to all of us fans and I congratulate you on all of your success........ nobody deserves it more than you and your family!
Derek, this is over the top. Wrenching in front of your fans, getting the kiddos involved and making them feel appreciated, giving out free stuff, chatting and interacting with their favorite YT guy. You know that you are doing it right when you see the same fans standing and watching you for hours. I always said you and your family are the best on YT and this proves me right. Awesome show.
I've never been a car guy until I started watching you wrench on them. I've learned so much from your videos. Thanks for being a great role model!
Absolutely incredible show and still appreciate the chance to get to meet you and your wife yesterday. I don’t believe it - my son and I are IN a VGG video!! Everyone - they are just as genuine in person. Thanks for all you do!
This is such an awesome concept, and I love seeing fellers there with their kids and their fellettes just having some family fun and soaking it in. I'm sure that kid that got to help will never forget that too. Just some awesome content!
Ahhh, reminds me of my younger years. Crawling around in some parking lot at 1 in the morning trying to find parts and fixing the old hot rod! Love watching you and the family doing these revivals! So much fun to watch!
You are amazing, I can't believe you're doing this for the fans. That just shows what a good human you are. Awesome video as always.

We talked about VGG and square bodies and fixing stuff and what not. People helping people and meeting good folks.
I want to thank you for all of these awesome videos that you have done this far. Been through some depression and other stuff and after I found your channel, I found joy to do stuff again. Got a widebody Murray lawnmover from my dad that had a sparklator and tank leak issue, I fixed it and been using it now for a good while. Also have done some maintenance at home to keep wife happy too. Just want to say that your personality and your spirit gives so much joy when watching your content so I cant describe how much you have been helping through with some stuff. Thank you!

I have to say Derek is the best i have watched.. Derek I'm a truck driver and i came across your videos a couple years ago.. you will never know how your videos help me pass the the time while out here on the road i play your videos and listen while driving. I watch your videos before going to sleep, and first thing in morning when i wake up.. and you got a fellower thinking this what i want to do when it's time to call it from running the road. I want this for my two kids.. thank you so much. I've got to meet you one day
Live rebuild? I can't believe it. (I guess I have to, I'm lookin' right at it) Great idea Derek!
I started watching you at State Fairs back in 1896 when you started out restoring old Conestoga wagons and re-shoeing oxen. Remember? My gosh you've come a long way. YOU are down to earth and genuine=PRICELESS!
I've been a fan since you first started the VGG channel and it's not just my favorite channel to watch on KZread but it takes me back to when I was little learning to work on vehicles with the old man. God bless you and yours for reminding people working on cars is more than just a way to save some money but a true American past time ....

Was pleasure to meet you and Jessica on day one. Thanks again for signing my GMC hubcap. Excited to see this firebird finished!
Very cool of you Derek, what fun times you give your fans. Thank you!!
Derek, your knowledge of cars is tremendous, and your sincerity / humility is without doubt, but it is the love for your family that stands out the most to me. Best wishes for every adventure you tackle, and thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
When I see you gravitate to the kids and welcome them with open arms that just reveals to us your kind heart to see the next generation to be zealous as you are about the car community. That to me warrants our support of your channel even more so as far as I'm concerned.
Only Derek can get paid to have people stand around and watch him spray paint a radiator in real life and the internet. Love it man!
Completely amazing, wrenching live with the fans, giving away stuff from the revival, interacting with people, buying parts right there, VGG the best channel ever 🤘🤘🤘🤘 can't wait to see the next episode 👍🤘🤘

This is why VGG is my favorite channel of all Car tubulator channels. Why? Derek "I've got 7 minutes until I do an hour of signing autographs so I am going to go ahead and yank the engine and transmission out to stay on schedule." You are the man Derek!
The world needs more people like you sir.
Props for doing that 😂 I hate when people (I don’t know) watch me work, you’re a great teacher Derrick not a lot of people, though very skilled, are able to teach in a way that’s simple and easy to understand. Nachos gracias sir, we love you guys
That kid was so happy to get that jumpbox! From the reaction, I'm sure it'll get put to good use. He may even need it to get out of there.😂
I can totally relate to trying to drain a fluid to avoid a mess and catching about 30% of it. Nailed it!
I can't explain how empowering Derek's approach to wrenching is. Not everything has to be perfect, you don't have to have a perfect plan, and it's okay to stumble your way through a project that is outside your wheelhouse. Nothing a few cold snacks can't get you through.
Really enjoying you expanding on the standard car show stuff. To watch you get down and dirty in the tent instead of just hanging out is the coolest thing I have seen in awhile!

Derek, if you are looking for used parts (tail lights), just make a carboard list of the parts you are looking for and tape it up somewhere. The fans will see it, and most likely steer you in the right direction. Signs work!!! Welcome back to good ol WI!!
Way to be a genuine person Derek !!! And your family is involved with all these amazing things y’all do. Truly an inspiration to us all !!! We need more people like you !!!

Derek with the oil dry: How much of it? All of it." "That's WWWAAAYYY too much. Perfect." Derek, you and the family are absolutely first class all the way. Bringing in the little human to help you jack up the engine hoist with you is cooler than penguin feathers in a blizzard. Your channelnis one of my go-to 's nit just for informative and entertaining videos, but very therapeutic after losing my wife in May. I have been inspired to do my own resurrection on a car and I picked out a Ford Thunderbird that I will be resurrecting as therapy as well. Don't stop doing what you're doing. You are all doing geeat.
Ok, this is the kinda stuff that makes your videos stand out from the others. Always doing something different, including family members while working on cars. Pretty cool.
