Did Hoonigan Do Him Dirty?! VIRAL JEEP WRECK EXPLAINED!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

At this point, everyone in the off road community (and the automotive community in general) has seen the viral Jeep wreck from Hoonigan's recent This vs That Off Road episode. The question is, did Hoonigan do him dirty by not airing the walk-around of his Jeep Wrangler build or his driver interview?

For those confused about the point of this video - to clarify, no one is arguing fault of the wreck, they came to party & he sent it too hard. The question is, did they do him dirty (and the Raptor owner) by not showing their driver interviews and vehicle walk-arounds (like they generally do with all competitors) so that viewers had better knowledge of the build and drivers could have opportunity to market their company/shop in the process like they were promised. Would that have mitigated ignorant comments like some of the ones we discussed at the very end of this video? And also given the competitors at least some of the marketing benefits they were promised, but never received since the interviews weren’t aired?

( The question is, did they do him dirty (and the Raptor owner) by not showing their driver interviews and vehicle walk-arounds ) Are you going to Showcase the Raptor driver like you did with this driver? Or is this just a Jeep thing? Before anyone goes bashing me. I like Jeeps and bronco's. I like Litebrite what you all do. I just disagree on this video.

Hooligan handled the whole thing wrong they promised to do things but failed to deliver and then grabbed the lime light it may be their highest watched show but I for one won't be watching it also now the Jeeps been shown and this interview the bronco driver should have the same opportunity but Dixie off road aren't mucking around if they can fab n rebuild a vehicle that fast to that standard I honestly have to tip my hat to them for the effort and for the honesty in what happend well done as usual guys

The raptor guy was brought back the next day to do an interview and talk about his plans and even called out Bryce to race again after his raptor is rebuilt. He got his own time and segment after the wreckage on that same episode.

Coming from the racing community to the offroading community, i can confidently say we are different worlds. The offroad community is infinitely more supportive than other car scenes ive taken part of.

its quite a theme that off roaders is more of a community helping eachother then other types of racing that is introvert and the teams sometimes is way to much secret and dont speek to us we are focusing on racing and you are not in the same legue as us. im racing RC buggys and got a history of racing RC touring cars and off road guys in RC is like full scale is more open speek to eachother helping no matter what car we drive while touring guys is the "introvert dont speek to me guys"

Yall dont get me wrong, ive met some stellar folks that are some of my bestfriends in the world, in other car scenes and most arent offroaders. But the community as a whole, there is just no comparison. Ive never pulled up to a wheeling event and there be fights breaking out. Vehicles being broken into/stolen. Idiots that dont understand their vehicle putting bystanders at risk. That happens everywhere in the drag scene, drift scene, bike scene, cant speak for roadtrack guys but i mean, bar none the offroading community has the highest level of respect for the community. Again, in my experience.

Glad you guys covered this better. No doubt he over drove the jeep and I’m sure he knows that. The issue is when a media company like Hoonigan promises screen time and shop information and does none of that it leaves a bad taste in people’s mouth. Hoonigan isn’t the same deal as before it sold. All the old school talent and builds are gone.😢

similar story for me. I was in Moab and my clutch completely burned out. I was supposed to leave in 2 days! Bryce took it on, and got the clutch replaced in a day and a half, including staying in Moab on a Friday night to finish up Saturday morning, even though he was commuting from St George! If they were still open in Moab, they would be my top recommendation for repairs. I will always recommend Dixie 4wd!

We don’t think he was referring to Bryce or his Jeep specifically….but without a vehicle walk-around, it was very easy to assume he was (at least to viewers who didn’t know Bryce or his build)

I watched the episode and tbh, there was a contagious can of beans given to a couple players that day. The raptor huck to flat that preceded the rubicon was equally as epic.

Wow! I saw the Red Dixie JL, all crushed and bruised, at Dixie 4x - photos and videos do not do the damage justice. The rebuild is spectacular! So much talent and hard work! "Everybody wants to be a critic." Pay no attention to them; y'all know what you're doing. The proof is in the results! LIteBriteNationFriendsPhoenixRises!

Learned alot from this video, I didn't know who was driving the Jeep and now I'm glad I do. Awesome vehicle build x2 and great person and solid company history in Utah.

I was blown away when I saw Bryce crawl out of that wreck saying he’s good, tough (lucky) sob right there! I’d love to see his rebuilt rig run some trails with the fresh Stepchild. Classy move here guys, much appreciated!

Bryce and Lite Brite really make me wish I lived in Utah. Bryce, glad you came through the injuries. Great recovery on the Jeep - all you need now is a set of airplane flaps and you'll nail those whoops... obtw when ther are that extreme of whoops, they're called Whoa's! (lol) Nice interview Kev & Brit. Luv ya guys!!!

They definitely did him dirty they were just looking for veiws. I love hoonigan but you can definitely tell they are turning towards a business/ corp way of running things, rather than the crazy builds/community way of things we used to see in the past.

I did watch his race before that footage went viral. The hoonigan did do him dirty. Because they didn’t do a walk around & ask him his experience & what not. He also did himself dirty too. He didn’t have to go that hard in the whoops. But hey! He was racing. The other guy he was racing was the camera guy for the hoonigan. He was also using his personal family moded vehicle (bronco) too because the other truck (raptor) that he was previously racing against sent it too hard. The truck flew way too high & landed on the flats which damaged his truck & hurting himself at the same time. They explained it on the video here. Yeah, that’s messed up that they left you hanging to go eat while your vehicle & yourself is messed up.
