The most "priviledged" homeless are the ones that are homeless due to debt the ones with physical or mental disability would be the worst to be as a homeless person in medieval times

Another informative and excellent video from your channel🎉 I learn so much from your information and your easy to understand narration is top notch. The homeless epidemic continues throughout the ages and it is so sad and disheartening. Everyone deserves shelter and a place that is safe and warm to call home. Mental illnesses has figured in the homeless crisis throughout many lands and times. Intresting to note that the " attitudes and scorn" so often afforded the homeless unfortunately continue.

@danielcuenca3646, homeless people in medieval times were also referred to as paupers, which means a very poor person. Good question!

Paupers. Indeed, the term "pauper" had been an official classification of the extremely poor from medieval times to the 19th century. In the 19th century, the term "pauper" was official parlance in Britain's poor laws (the Victorian Poor Laws were the official English policies that supported and governed Britain's workhouse system), as well as in the names of some hospitals and asylums geared toward the poor (as in such and such Pauper Lunatic Asylum).
