Did He Buy Another Antique Chair?
My interest is buying and selling antiques and vintage items mostly
from the 1920's into the mid 1960's. Thank you for watching.

When I trip over my words, I like to say “I washed my tongue & can’t do anything with it.” We all do that so no worries! Glad you got the chair. A steal for $20. Lots of good things to see on this trip.
My first father in law was Tom and his adopted brother was Jerry. That cup brings up fond memories.

We had cats called Tom & Jerry. 🐈 🥰 🐈⬛
I told you weeks ago to buy that chair.
Talking about weather and staying safe. I'm currently hunkered down here in southern Minnesota under windchill warnings. -34 below with windchill right now. Boiler going nonstop to keep the house from freezing up. Brrrrrrr.
Wow Scott ,that chair must have been covered for most of of its life!!amazing 😊

Probably sat in the parlor and was virtually unused.
I had the punch bowl and sold it at a vintage and antique fair before Christmas. The lady eyrballed it from down the aisle and practically drug her husband to my booth to get it. I love when that happens ❤
Today’s reference was LL Cool J 😉
Love the chair🍸
My dad was a collector of cranberry labels. He had an amazing collection which went to my brother. I have the one you just showed that he gave me !!
That overnight set might be Tiffany. I have the pitcher and never found the glass. It's a nice thing to keep the cats from drinking my water at night. I'd love to get the glass/lid thing. (It's not old)
I’m so glad you bought the chair!
Hey, Scott, the chair was like the desk. It was there meant to be to go home with you. Great score
Please share the chair once it’s cleaned and oiled! That wood is gonna be lustrous!
I like to think about the conversations about pricing in the back room. 😅😂❤
Nice items 🎉
I'm so glad you rescued that chair. It was in amazingly good condition so it was clearly treasured and cared for by somebody til they passed away and no one was left who cared for that vintage. It will find a good home with you. I love the upholstery on it. Couldn't it live in a bedroom? My grandmother's house was full of antiques and she had either a dainty chair or rocker in each bedroom. they were handy to sit down to take your shoes on/off, or as a guest, to set your purse and sweater/jacket on. I couldn't help but notice the glorious 20's era kitchen sink with deco lines in the back of your truck. Ohh la la, can't wait to see how you put that to use!!
Scott, so glad you went back and purchased that fabulous chair! Living near the beach in South Jersey, beware of flooded streets with Ocean water, get to car wash and get that salted water off the bottom of your car, not a good thing, rust will quickly appear. Actually talked to a GW Manager last year. Asked him if the new associates got any training on pricing items, he said no, but their are guidelines. The prices dramatically went up last Fall, but the backlash was instant, even the lounge lizards left the items on the shelf, the prices in the next few months went back to expected. Just need to keep your wits about you! 😂😂 Happy Hunting 😎
Glad you got the chair Scott. It had your name written all over it ☺️🪑.
🎉🎉 so glad you ended up buying that green/ yellow chair!! It’s perfect for your perfect bungalow!! 🎉🎉
I love that chair too! 😍
The green Dalton tea pot was nice, the gold and white painted Nippon piece was fabulous......too bad about the chip......
love that chair, both the style, color, and upholstery pattern
Beautiful chair...better find a place for it. Very strange that it didn't sell.
Scott you need a cup of coffee and a Ginger Snap from Belinda in Sacramento😮
Love that chair! Green and Mauve (?) upholstery beautiful and well preserved.
Scott, loved the candlesticks you found, the chair, and the Cambridge glass was so beautiful, but @ $18.00, yikes, what is Goodwill thinking pricing things so high???😱
Scott, You walked by the black & white cat. At first, I thought it was real..
Your right down the Street from where I live. The broklawn circle always floods.

I love the shopping trips! Thanks Scott!
That chair is a quality piece.
Now you know what the prices are in my neck of the woods. Those are the prices we have here. You are lucky to live where you do. I think more people are looking to antiques and vintage and the Goodwill's and thrift stores are catching on.
Love the white Soup Tureen during the stroll thru the store - I think my Aunt had the same one.
Oh my! I used to work across the street from the Gateway diner. There used to be The Tower Tavern. It has changed owners. Ha! Good old Westville! ❤ Great video!

@@oldcuriosityshop265 Always flooded...
Well, that was brave to go through that stream!! I guess in a truck it's better! It's always so fun to see the wide variety of vintage decor!! All the glass item's is so exciting!! That chair is gorgeous!! It'll fit in your home beautifully!! It'll belong there!! The wood detail is so pretty!! Thank you as always for taking us along!! Take care!! It's 19 degrees here today!!
Scott, maybe you needed another Wawa or a Dunkin coffee?... You do have a 'penchant' for buying chairs and we're here for it! I love it! What are you going to do with that chair, you ask... You can bring it to me down here in NC! Am I joking? Maybe, maybe not...
I’m glad that you got that chair! Love that fabric!!
The armchair is a rather good Chippendalesque Revival piece. The presence of castors and the quality of the carving, including the shell motif, are earmarks of a well made piece.

Absolutely! The 30's era 'revival' of this style of furniture is exemplary.
The overpricing is everywhere, I guess. I sell online and live in a small town, and even with the very small thrift stores here, I saw the prices triple . And they don't have that much. Again, you found some great items. "The sea parted for me." Made me laugh out loud. 😂😂😂. Lol
Those are the kind of prices we see ar our Goodwill which is why I haven't been in months.
Thank you Scott, I did have fun shopping with you. The prices in that one store though…outrageous.🖤🇨🇦
Always fun going shopping with you Scott! you picked up some real treasures today. Have a great evening😘
Love the decanter....stay safe.
Love the cranberry label!
You are adorable 😊
Knob on clear jar lid looks older to me....love odd shaped cut glass 4 fted bowl! Love, love, love glass decantor.. Cut to clear?... AGREED, prices on some items are breathtaking!!! No thanks....chair is amazing as well...i have several repros of vintage advertising, or could be new old stock..
Even half price those prices are to much..
So glad you bought the chair.😊
That flooding! I live in a completely different part of the world - South East England - and lately I am regularly driving through similar floods, which have never been at such levels, and/or in the locations they are, before now. Wild...
That wonderful chair was still there and you bought it! Can't wait to see it after you clean her up. 🥰
Those high prices are more like New Zealand thrift shop prices. :)
I would end up a hoarder if I had thrift stores like these where I live. Thanks
Nice chair!!! Good find. You can fit it in your house I love chairs and tables
Thank you Scott for taking us along while you shopped for vintage treasures. I enjoyed from the comfort of my BarcaLounger 😊love everything. I would have bought the stangel cream and sugar. Much easier to store and display them bulky stangel tidbit trays.
Fun video and shopping with you. I like all the info you share. I love your new chair and the price was perfect. The price gouges were outrageous. Great finds today. 😊
That chair is nice! You might put it in one of the bedrooms.
I really like that chair! The EAPG creamer is Swirl and Ball by McKee, 1893. Now if you were to look that up the most common picture shows it with a different handle, but there is a catalog illustration showing your creamer. McKee made four creamers in Swirl and Ball all with different handles. I do like going shopping with you, thank you.
At a local charity/thrift shop near me, I saw orphaned, pink, common patterned, saucers for $8 EACH!!!! I see that sort of thing at actual antique stores for no more than $2 unless it's uranium or a rare pattern. That thrift store has always had a boutique area with nicer, higher quality (and price) things. But those saucers were in the glass aisle. Slumming with cheaper, newer glass.
It is always fun to go shopping with you, Scott. I think that the chair and the relish plate were your best buys today. Goodwill has gone NUTS with thier pricing! You CAN often find the same thing cheaper in a bona fide Antiques Mall. Keep your feet dry and stay warm.
Love your channel almost had me missing jersey until i saw the acura cutoff everyone and dont get me going on the pickup. Loving my Idaho
Love the cranberry ad, the Tom & Jerry mug, and your " new" chair! I inherited a tea set like the one you showed. It belonged to an older cousin and I figure it is from the late 30s when she would've been 5 to 7 years old.
Please don’t toss the candlesticks into your cart…after checking for damage!😂🤣🇨🇦
Several years ago one of our local Goodwills was asking $10.00 for a small Pyrex mixing bowl that was just thrashed. I can’t imagine anyone wanting it. You managed to get some great stuff though.
But you are Scott, you are in that chair!! And Blanch no longer is in that chair!! Lol!!
Wisconsin, Mass, Oregon and then Jersey for cranberry growing. I Love cranberries and that wonderful chair you rescued!
that is a gorgeous decanter
I m really happy you got the chair. It's gorgeous
That's a beautiful chair 💚. I had one similar to that one many years ago. Until it started falling apart. I should have tried fixing it 😕. You should have adopted that 🐈⬛ black and white kitty you went past 😉. I sure hope your car is going to be okay. Many years ago when I had a beautiful 1969 Cadillac car. It had red leather interior and electric windows. Someone l knew drove it through a flooded street like that( it wasn't me). That was the end of my Cadillac. Hopefully cars built nowadays can handle flooded streets. It really should have been closed.
The chair was a real bargain and the glass pieces are lovely.😀👍
I would pay a flat 20 for that chair every day I have room
That chair is amazeballz😍 and I love cranberries!! Sometimes words are very hard, I can't English or Math most days 😅
I love blueberries and I love Maine!
The new chair matches the kitchen !
I have real vintage posters in my kitchen from our farming days. Onion sales. I think you need a coffee scott 😉 😜 😋.
Oh, I’m so happy you got that chair. I would’ve grabbed it that first time. I could pretty much find a corner or spot for a chair that great.
So glad you went back for that chair!
Hey, that pitcher and cup tumble over is a Tiffany and Company and I sold mine for $100
Thanks for that nugget of information on the cranberries. I live on Cape Cod and had no idea NJ was known for cranberries as well!! As always I enjoy thrifting with you. Have a blessed day and watch out for those flooded streets! 😁
Always have fun watching you! Love your commentary no matter how it comes out.
That chair obviously spent its life in a home without cats. We love our feline fur babies but they are rough on the upholstery.
I like your new (old) sink!
Ok I'll finish watching. The high prices! Seard the colour out my eyes and I like my eyes, I have pretty eyes. Scott you're kool

The high prices upset you. Messed up your speech. Or your evening out is on your mind. Eatmore will look great in the kitchen
Always love shopping with you! Our Goodwill's prices are just as awful as your's!
Aloha 🌺🥰
There is a Cranberry township outside Pittsburgh. I don’t think it has anything to do with sandy soil or produce.
Wow flood
You must be where the rich people live lol
Goodwill, what finds; nothing like that in my town!
I spelled brooklawn wrong
The new chair, nice opposite the black and grey chair at the opposite ends of the dining table. The Windsor at the side in the winter.
Oh buttonhole seems Bakelite❤
A lotta telephone poles on that street!
Glad you got the great chair.😊
Can’t wait to see where you put the new chair lol . Love the chair !
Don’t feel bad about the smooched-speak. It’s happening to a lot of us. Some of us are worse-real space-cadets lately 🙄. The explanations are out there to explain this phenomenon: from the drastically increased solar activity to the momentous turn of important planets ( explained by astrology). Your delightful personality shines through nonetheless and folks like me feel right at home. Thankyou for your tasteful videos-they’re given me a real appreciation for the ‘ clear glass isle” ( I used to think “yuk!”). 🌷
Off the hook means it's good 😅
The chair is gorgeous. Good thing you went back for it. 😃☝️ The prices....yepp..demand and supply...the items are donated, sure, but would you charge a tenth of what you could get for Grandaunt Maude's goldwatch- just because you inherited it❓🥴
I like the glass desk tray
That is a beautiful chair!
Horribly high prices. Same in my area and slim pickings. I used to stop at my local Goodwill after work 2 or 3 times a week. Now I stop maybe once a month. The thrill is gone.
They should have blocked that road! Wet brakes?

They couldn’t block that road. All of the surrounding roads were flooded twice as bad and this is a very congested area of New Jersey.
