JP is distorting history and facts. Gandhi never wanted Ambedkar to enter constituent Assembly. He/ his congress defeated him first by posting a seventh failed candidate agaist Ambedkar in Bombay. Later when he won election from West Bengal, again congress merged that place in Pakistan ( Bangladesh today) . Thus Ambedkar was defeated second time. It was the help from the British who pressurised congress to provide representation to Ambedka that finally got him into Constituent Assembly. Congress( Gandhi) never wanted Ambedkar in the constituent assembly. JP must learn the facts before speaking in public platform. Communal electorate: Ambedkar was absolutely correct. Gandhi was wrong. JP's analysis is dead wrong. 1. Gandhi had no objection to muslim communal electorate, Sikh communal electorate, but objected only to dalith communal electorate. Because Gandhi didn't want dalits to get empowered politically. He was a casteist to the core that Ambedkar was arch rival. Reservations proposed by Gandhi are faulty as they made dalit MLA/ MPs puppets in the hands of upper caste parties and leaders. But at least they provided nominal representation. JP is completely against reservations. Let us ask an honest question. Without reservations, even now, can dalits win elections on their own? There are no reservations for BCs. What is the representation of BCs in politics? Ambedkar was absolutely right in demanding communal representation to dalits, Gandhi was partially right in proposing reservations, JP is absolutely wrong in opposing both Communal electorate and reservations. JP, after all, is from a privileged caste. His eyes and brain can neither understand nor feel like Ambedkar saw and felt. My conclusion: JP is a nobody in comparison with the genius that Ambedkar was.

Good reply* Can you also through some light on outcome of reservations after 75 years in view of recent Supreme Court judgment that “backwardness still exist even if a person got PG /PHD and govt..job” hence reservation justified. If so, what is alternative? When a person can be treated uplifted from backwardness?

@@venumadhav3699 The problem is such that there are no simple solutions. Caste is deep-rooted social evil having its impact on every walk of life of every Indian. Not just 75 years, even after 750 years also the situation will not change. This is an age old Indian problem. JP speaks about some dalits progressing well that they get into IAS and IPS jobs. Will JP have a dalit IAS/IPS as his daughter-in-law or son-in-law. I don't think he ever dares to. Economic prosperity of a dalit only enhances his affordability but does not raise his social status a bit. Solution: Hindu society must be reformed to such a level that caste becomes nothing in our day to day life. Until then caste discrimination and caste-based reservations will continue.

Why Gandhi ran two papers where is promoted Equality in English and Opposed Equality in Gujrati paper.. these two are enough to understand Gandhi double standards... JP is only having a limited knowledge on this.... even on Separate electorates for Muslims Sikhs and Christians but not for Dalits...... Ambedkar is/was not ANTI HINDU... he is/was ANI -In-Equality .......

Gandhi and Ambedkar both had made an effort to alter the existing systems and guide for India’s development.! They had different strategies for getting rid of untouchability, despite agreeing that it was the main problem facing the social order. Additionally.. They cleared the ground for India’s independence.! Many people around the world have tremendous regard for these two guys and have also voiced criticism.! In addition to aiding in India’s independence, they worked to solve the social issues of the day. The issues that the lower castes were recognized by both of them and they have assisted in their empowerment.! They never believed in violent overthrow of any kind. Both Gandhi and Ambedkar believed in the idea of social transformation through peaceful and democratic means. Both of them wanted to solve the problem of disintegration and disharmony prevailing in society through the peaceful rehabilitation of the oppressed/depressed classes.! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

For Daliths Gandhi gave many death blows to Daliths which only historians and thinkers can trace them.Even at any age good is good bad is bad .In Indian soil from the beginning there was a clash of ideas.Even now there is a clash of tradition and reson .It is good and essentially needed for our Daliths to rethink and reesses both the characters .It is not persons we are Judgin it is idealogies they lean on and profess.Daliths are now becoming compitant enough to condemn ideas and theories that are destroying the Indian society.

We are slaves to Delhi Durbar for more than thousand years. Many sons of soil tried to oppose but eventually died. We need decentrolise from Delhi Durbar. European Union countries enjoy sovereign authority and son's of soil aspiration kept fulfilled. India needs regional reforms at ease. Super power will be solved if states have freedom of sons of soil.

This is an enlightening discussion for society. Two important points in this discussion 1. Self control over wrong doings fearing insult from the society is lacking today which has to be regulated by stringent laws and put them into action. 2. Giving power should be treated as just any other job to fulfill public requirements not as domination over someone who questions them. My thoughts on social justice and future: In the short term (Need of the hour): A reformed reservation system. ie., Loksatta's reservation policy (subject to correction) - Without any changes to the reservation quota limits, remove the "undeserving section" (ie., politicians, govt, IT, Bussiness families etc) of the reserved community from the quota eligibility. This will help in reservation reaching the most deserving section of the communities. This should go on for a few decades, say 5. In the Long term: we can never abolish (caste in this case) something when benefits are given in the name of the samething. Meaning: expecting to abolish caste whilst reaping the benefits simultaneously is hypocrisy. If our end goal is a casteless society, we need to reject discrimination as well as benefits in the name of it. At a physiological level, believing that you are downtrodden in society will only reap a victimhood mentality which will be passed on to the next gen. This mindset will never allow you to grow to your full potential (I am saying the impact is on most people and not all people in the community). Lastly, communities understanding the psychological impact of victimhood and reservation is vital. Hope, sense will prevail on all sides, and a smooth transition to a casteless society is possible, where we as an Indic civilization will thrive.

I love these interviews. But I feel somehow most of the time the person interviewing does not contradict with JP Sir and just agrees with him. For example when JP sir says Gandhi is wrong in asking Jews to submit themselves to Nazis. How can we say Ambedkar is wrong in asking a separate Electorate in the placewhere lower casts are discriminated equally badly for hundreds of years when obviously there is no scope for their representation in the new nation without reservations. And also JP sir rarely criticizes and asked about current BJP government which supports killers of Gandhi more than Gandhi himself

దీర్ఘకాలంగా ఏదైనా దురాచారం కొనసాగుతుంటే ఏ కాలంలో గానీ, ఒక్క మేధావి బయటకు రాడు. కానీ కింద కులాల వారికి ఏదైనా ప్రయోజనం ఒనగూరుతుంది, అంటే అప్పుడు జాతీయత, దేశభక్తి, సమాజం విభజన లాంటి అంశాలు ముందుకొస్తాయి.
