Just because his shoulder roll doesn't look like Pernel or Floyd doesn't mean it was terrible. It was very effective you could see Hayney frustrated because of it and he's used it in his last two fights since loosing to Tank and as awkward as it looks it WORKS.

Soooo wanted someone to mention the Catterall utter disgrace of a scoring because that wasnt it for undisputed? And the incompetency of the judges scoring c9st jack his career defining moment. THAT is still the worst one yet with the gravity of the impact to a boxers career. Truly heartbreaking

Boxing scorecards should be published or announced during the fight either at the end of each round or maybe 3 times during a fights like round 3, 6 and 9 so the viewer is more aware of what the judges are seeing g would improve things for casual fans getting into the sport but also help to clear things up as how many times we get to the end of a fight and a away fighter has won clearly by 5 or 6 points and you are still sat there waiting for them to mess up the scorecards you know its going to happen and is sad that now it's become refreshing when the right person wins and right outcome happens as we don't get it enough

In the olympics the judges (used to) have buttons where when all 3 judges press simultaneously there is a punch scored.. this seemed to work well Perhaps too well

Incompetent of Spencer to call it incompetence, call it what it is...corruption, otherwise it would be a split decision because only one judge would have it wrong. All in favour of noise cancelling headphones, live scoring, post fight interviews/investigation with judges etc.

What about we keep 3 judges in the same positions that they currently sit and view the fight but after each round they all communicate with eachother and decide which fighter one each round. If 2 of the 3 judges say fighter a won then you give the round to fighter a. So at the end you should get one decent scorecard as each round has been subject to a vote. Bang. Sorted

This wasn't a stroke of genius by Garcia, and he certainly was 2 divisions bigger than Haney, as Spence claims. So let's address these things. Haney in his previous fight against prograIs, weighed in at 140lbs, but was over 160lbs stepping into the ring on fight night. That's how much weight Haney puts on between "weigh in" and "fight night", and that's the only reason, after Garcia missed weight, he didn't put in a hydration clause. Not because he was complacent, or thought Garcia was a push over, but because there's no way Haney could adhere to a hydration clause himslf. Just check his stats. He puts up to 20 lbs on, between the weigh in and fight. Secondly. This wasn't a stroke of genius by Garcia, at all. The guy's obviously, mentally ill. He's already ( he's only 25) took over a year out of boxing, after fight Campbell, because of mental illness, and that was well documented. Drinking, partying, erratic behavior, training poorly, even missing training. The guy's struggling, without a doubt. He couldn't even get himself into the best shape, for a world title shot ffs, and he even admitted after the fight that he wasn't in great condition. What won him the fight was an over hyped Haney, who's fought nobody in their prime, apart from " pillowfist" Kambosos, who himself, was massively over hyped after 1 good fight against an awful( on the night) Lopez. Haney's chinny, and has been rocked in 3 fights that I've watched only, and by pretty weak shots, I've gotta say. Haney has been protected really well, but now he's been exposed, and going forward, he looks vulnerable. He'll be afraid to exchange, punching when his opponent is punching, because he knows he'll come off second best against top tier fighters. Worst of all for Haney though, is that every "decent", " prime" opponent he faces from here on in, knows he can hurt him any time throughout 12 rounds. Garcia isn't great. He's a train wreck, and time will prove this. Just watch. But Haney, unless he adopts a Klitschko, or ( God forbid) Okolie "jab and hold" style, is gonna struggle at elite level, having now shown the world he has an" Amir Khan" chin.

5x5 is an average card, the problem with boxing is the floor is so low, look at UFC 300, opening fight. 5x5 just has some promotion behind it and happens to be a collaboration between two promoters. None of those fighters have star power or are anywhere near P4P status, Wilder and Zhang have no future in the division, Dubois and Hrgovich, a good fight but we might not learn much about either. There is also very little interest from across the pond re. any of the fighters.
