My job gave me the Dickies carpenter jeans and they’re absolutely amazing once broken in. Especially after carrying tools in the pockets and developing stress on them. Ours are FR tho so they might be just a little different

Good stuff man. I'm in the same boat the Dickies 874 is the best fitting work pants. Nothing beats the comfort & longevity. I'm not a fan boy of any company but for some reason Dickies stuff just fits and looks great to me.

The double knees break in sooo nice.... I've got this pair of the MOSS greens that I wore to work daily (masonry), so they've been beat to hell, washed a hundred times, ripped, patched up, tapered cuffs... and they wear like PYJAMAS. I own 3 pairs now and I cant wait for them to all break in. I pair em with these natural leather cowboy boots that have taken on a nice patina.... compliments every time. They're the perfect blank canvas for rips and patch work 🤤👌🏾 Great content my man

I love my eisenhower jacket. fits my body type perfectly. it is unlined and completely not particularly cold friendly ...

I think Im going to try carpenters by Dickies. I have the unlined version Eisenhower from dickies very light and comfortable and easy to put over a flannel or hoodie.

If you’re looking for 874’s, I would recommend you to take one size up in the width since the 874’s are very tight around the waist and the butt

Yeah I wear Dickies 874 all the time, they're kinda my go-to

I own both jackets. Love em both. Can't go wrong

Hey good morning Drew, great videos my man. I have some Carhartt and really like what I have. I have been wearing Dickies for decades. (I guess I am showing my age hahaha...) Dickies is very tough and cleans up very well. I have 874's, Eisenhower jackets, chore coat (which just may be my favorite winter coat), and shirts. Big plus for me is Dickies is less expensive than Carhartt. Both lines are great.....Keep the videos coming my friend.

You should have compared the 874 against the Carhartt’s b290 (which is not in production today). You can’t compare 874s with a full cotton garment.

My 874s, despite being all the same size, vary so much in their measurements

Just got a lined eisenhower in size M. Im 6'2 and weigh around 183ish. Cant wear it just yet because the lined one is quite warm. I live in Sweden though, it gets quite chilly here in the fall season so it should serve me well soon! Tried it on, love the fit. Looks greeeat with a hoodie underneath and some relaxed/loose fit jeans. Cant wait to wear it! Love your content btw! Been a lurker for a while now, just subscribed✌ keep it up!

I have 874 dickies that lasted through 20 years of hard skateboarding, they seem durable enough but it took almost that long for them to soften up lol

I own the Carhartt rip stop cargo pants and my only complaint is that there’s no cellphone pocket. I put my phone in the cargo pocket and it gets turned sideways and is just hard to get to. And they’re not as comfortable as my Dickies Duratech Ranger cargo pants, which are the absolute best work pants I’ve ever worn. They’re comfortable, not baggy but loose enough to allow movement, gusseted crotch, large side and cargo pockets, handy cell phone pocket, water resistant, and they never ever wrinkle. You can literally leave them in the dryer and when you pull them out just fold em over and put them away. They are THAT GOOD. Carhartt, IMO, makes decent stuff, like their t shirts. But they tend to put too many useless pockets on their pants that are basically just for looks, and they cost more.

For the dickies pants are the good for cowboy boots like boot cut jeans or are they just a regular kind

Dickies 874s just because 874s don’t look like workwear pants they just look like black trousers

It’s weird to me that people think the pants I wear to work is fashion lol I’ve never seen that before well ig it’s bc I’m from the south it’s an everyday thing down here you see them at gas stations all day

starting from 21 degrees celsius I personally only wear shorts, to me the dickies are less breathable than a normal pair of jeans, due to composition, polyester is far less breathable then cotton or canvas , maybe Carhartt single knee or simple pant are best option than both of these

In my experience I wear the same size in both and it works out quite nicely for me some people size down in the length for double knees but I don’t think it’s necessary

Dickies is VERY inconsistent with sizing. I have 34/32’s that are too big and too small. Same model

Dickies have gone up in price so much ever since diving head first in the skateboarding market that Carhartts have become just as, if not more affordable than Dickies

Because they don’t make them like they used too anymore. The ones you can buy for retail now are made of cheaper materials and also when you buy them they are more rugged because you have to wear them often to break them in. The vintage pairs are better quality and also they have better wear because someone (probably a construction worker) already broke them in so there is more character in them. That is also why they cost more and besides, it’s trendy right now.
