TMNT Energy. If you think about it, the TMNT vibe is what they should have went through with Gotham Knights. Nightwing = Leonardo (same colors and both are leaders) Batgirl = Donatello (same colors and pretty intelligent) Red Hood = Raphael (" " and very combative personalities) Robin = Michelangelo (The youngest ones of their teams and generally fun-loving people)

That is because he has a knack for being what the other person needs in that moment. Dick is the result of Bruce giving his everything to allow Dick to have something he himself never could, a shot at being happy. Bruce never wanted Dick to inherit the mantle, he wanted him to be better than the Batman and rise above the endless war. This has allowed Dick to have a lot more empathy than the other Robins put together. Jason need light heartedness to pull him out of himself...so Dick acts like a goof. Damien needs a brother to show him the way and trust in him...not a father, and so Dick acts like a big brother that has been there and can help him find his feet. Tim is very much an intellectual detective and responds very well to logic, so Dick dispenses with most of his lighthearted mannerisms and sticks to a businesslike way of speaking and injecting a more dry humor into things that Tim appreciates. He also answers a lot of Tim's questions about being a Robin. Dick and Barbara grew up together, they dated and it didn't work out...and they now see each other as siblings. They have each other's back and trust each other to do what they do best. Dick lead the Titans because of his ability to empathize and bring people together without needing to be that strong front man. He won Starfire's heart by being honest and true to himself and empathizing with those around him. By being better than the Bat and reaching out to help everyone. He will show what the other person needs. He is basically who Bruce would have been had his parents not died. Bruce did everything to keep that intact for Dick, he never tried to 'break him' of those habits. Instead Bruce chose to simply warn Dick of the pitfalls and let him find his own path. Tim is the one being groomed for the mantle of The Bat. He fights exactly like early Bruce, using his surroundings in a defensive style and not shifting to offense until he knows his enemies and the environment fully. Tim is also a natural detective, which is where Bruce started. Fighting can be taught, but that detective mindset is something you are born with. Tim is the one true heir of the mantle. They always have him being too young when someone else has to wear the cowl though and Dick has to put it on. No one else knows Bruce well enough to pull it off.

Another example of Dick being the best big brother. He was being the big brother Jason needed him to be in that moment. Jason needed to not be alone, and Dick was happy to make himself the “unavoidable irritation” Damian described him as, younger sibling speak for “annoying big brother who will always be there for me, even when I don’t want him to be”. Dick always knew how to deal with his brooding younger siblings, smother them with light until they crack.

Ok hold up, why did they give the characters their ridiculous ways of traversal when grapple jumping like that seems perfectly reasonable and even accurate to how they actually do get around. This game missed out big by not putting in the effort to make traversal more free running oriented but with each characters style is different. Like the differences between Miles and Peter's swinging in both Spider-Man games.

That’s literally what they did though. Everyone can grapple jump, or they can use their own unique way of traveling(ex. Jason can mystical, Tim can teleport, Barbara can glide, and Dick has this paragliding thing). You also can free roam over the entire city from the jump.

They absolutely nailed the dynamic of the Bat Family in Gotham Knights, if nothing else. Say what you want about the game, but that part is something they knocked out of the Out of the Park.

I can’t believe this was just missable side content FLASHBACKS in this game, it should've been integrated into the story naturally.

The game rating said for M for Mature audiences only because I damn near died when Red Hood at 1:24 in the video said: "dick.......Dick!". All loud too I was walking on the street below and I heard someone yelling for Dick.I was like well go to the sporting goods store.........

Because Jason is generally a much more rugged person, whereas Dick is an actual circus performer. A lean, athletic, acrobat is probably gonna look younger than a bodybuilding street fighter that lugs around 40 pounds of armor and weapons.

The pit somehow aged him up i believe. His age is inconsistent throughout continuities, so he technically doesn't have a set age anymore, due the lazarus pit aging him up or down until he is in his peak condition. (Just a theory, but it makes sense)

The pit aged him in addition to reversing his stunted growth from malnutrition. It also improved his physical potential to a point where physically he's the strongest member of the batfamily by a decent margin. Even in the comics he has a good 15 lbs or or so of pure muscle on batman.

Well they’re both portrayed as young adults in current cannon. Dick is generally around the 21-25 age Range and red hood is somewhere around the 18-20 age range

The fact that Batman's entire family has to step up to keep Gotham safe shows you how good Batman was when he did all that by himself (with Alfred). I love that Batman is the most respected human in DC but sometimes I appreciate his down-to-earth stories

There's that great fanfic where Nightwing is actually Spider-man's dad, btw. I mean, Peter's dad is named Richard lol. It's called Make It Out Just To Fall in AO3 and it's post-NWH Tom Holland Spidey getting adopted by the bat fam XD. You should check that amazing fic. Like, the similarities in personalities and the acrobatic characterestics are uncanny. They're my two favorite heroes too!

I’m not a big fan of DC or MARVEL but my god is this game incredibly fun! I fell in love with all 4 characters (even though I was only playing as Robin) I still felt their characters being fleshed out and being worked on well. Well done to the Dev team for taking care of each character and giving them different and unique personalities.
