Dick & Dom - The Best of Bogies
Dick & Dom - The Best of Bogies
Edited by Thom Goddard for 'Dick n Dom in da Bungalow' for the BBC in 2005.
The most infamous part of Dick and Dom in da Bungalow was a pre-recorded game called Bogies. In this game, Dick and Dom situated themselves in a quiet public place such as a museum or restaurant and took turns to shout "bogies" at gradually increasing volumes, until one of them did not shout as loud as the other (judged by the Bogeyometer, or Snotometer, which appears on screen to rank the bogey), or quit due to embarrassment.
Variants of this game, such as Pro-Celebrity Bogies - involving a challenge from a minor celebrity to Dick or Dom - were seen in Series 5. Series 4 also included Premier League Bogies, which involved playing the game in extremely intense circumstances, such as a during a performance of a play in a theatre, and during a session of yoga. Euro Bogies saw the game being played in prominent places throughout continental Europe, often resulting in Dick and Dom being ejected from the premises involved. The term used for "bogies" in French was "crotte de nez" (literally "nose droppings"), and in Italian "moccio" (Italian for "snot").
The commentary for Bogies was provided by the show's producer, Steve Ryde.

Even now at 26, I still crack up watching this. The urge to shout bogeys in every library is because of these two. Thanks haha
Only last month there was a kid in tesco screaming BOGIES at the top of her lungs. Priceless and still funny AF
I'm 22 now and this is still gold
I'm 19 years old and this still kills me
This is even funnier now than it was when I was a kid 😂
I've come back to watch this at 18 to see if it's as funny as I remember, it is.

These are true athletes; such unparalleled vocal control. They're at the top of their game, no doubt about it. Some say they trained for months for the library match. Inspiring stuff.
this is a historical artefact

It’s so depressing that this kind of thing isn’t on anymore. I’m just glad I got to see it when it was going 😂
Rewatching this show now as an adult, and there are so many innuendos which flew over my head as a kid 😂
God I miss this era, it’s funny even though I’m 27 now. The reactions from the stuffy elderly people make it even funnier

Them trying to pretend to sightsee is like when you get asked a question in class but don't know the answer...
Finally KZread understands me
I’m 50 and used to watch this with my two sons and it would crack me and my wife up…… but there is a lesson to be learned here, never lose touch with your inner child! This still cracks me up x

As a society, we will never get back to this level of wholesomeness. Not with the trajectory that we’re on.
Im 23 years old now and this still has me howling
Loved Dick & Dom as a kid. The whole show felt like we were in a secret saturday club with these two where only WE got the jokes (Even though it was just basic juvenile stuff lol)

My brother and I, and a friend of ours played Bogies in a restaurant. After 10 minutes, we were standing up in turn and shouting it at the top of our voices. The staff were laughing, but the manager told us to leave because we drove the diners out.
