Dick Clark was a class act allowing for the entire band to be properly introduced. Late night show hosts never do that.

I agree, but I guess Late Night Talk Show Hosts don't have the time to introduce the band mainly because either the networks or syndicators or whoever it is gives them a time limit or something Not sure why and yes, Mr. Clark will forever be a legend God Bless Him

From a visual standpoint, I felt that the original members of Adam Ants band came across much better.

I don't know if the original Ants came across better visually. I would argue visually the line up for 'Prince Charming' was more pleasing (Marco, Merrick, Terry Lee and Gary Tibbs).

when i was a kid i used to be really into Adam and the Ants , what the fuck is going on here tho , introducing a band of random session musicians , where's marco , merrick , terry lee .. they need kevin mooney to get drunk and fuck about on stage , Adam seems a bit lost without his old gang , a bit sad this really

He split the band up as drugs and other things where happening and he was not a fan of it. However he kept Marco in a lot of his songs in his solo career. He even credits him with the last track on "friend or foe"

Adam Ant lost his final shred of integrity when he donned that candy-assed cowboy clobber.

It was the 80's when rock n roll stars were colourful and larger than life. Much better than today's boring nonentities

To be honest he could wear a bin liner but he would still be writing great songs, artistic and totally original. They threw away the mold when they made him.

That was not him being a jerk. He suffers from bipolar disorder. His mother had bipolar disorder and I think she had schizophrenia also so he has always been fighting his genetic history. Most times he is able to keep things together but he has had a couple of episodes in the past. However that doesn't make him a jerk. Jerk sure people that don't have any sort of mental disorder and yet they act out anyway just because they think it's fun or cute or whatever.
