Lady Diana indeed captured the hearts of many with her grace and kindness. It's heartbreaking to think of the pain she endured. Her legacy as the "people's princess" will endure, and her impact on the world will never be forgotten.

Do not understand why Charles after indicating he was an adulterer on television, the Queen being the Head of the Church which disapproves of adultery and marriages to divorcees, did not remove him from succession. Diana was correct to imply that the Palace does what is needed to survive by removing obstacles in their way. I miss Diana as she was light in the world for me.

I saw/see a woman who was ridiculed and stripped of her innocence by Charles from the very beginning. It is plain to see, even in their first interview together, he was mocking her. Frightening to see him with a handkerchief over his face and blowing at the three of them at the piano all these years later, with the lives as they are. He didn't love her and felt pressured to marry her solely based on her purity and family status/wealth. She was willing to be the good wife nevertheless and he betrayed her in probably, every way possible. The queen did everything in her power to salvage Charles' reputation, even to the point of making herself the enemy in the face of public exploitation.

I think we can say that this interview was the nail in the coffin for Diana with the Royal Family. As a result, she lost her security detail and as a result of that, she wasn’t protected the night she passed. Why hasn’t Martin Bashir EVER said anything?? He might not owe us the public an explanation….but in the wake of the stuff that’s come out about HOW he got this interview, I think he OWES William and Harry one. Of course they won’t take it….but he owes them at least that. Diana was their mother….and her loss was DEFINITELY felt by them in a way none of us can understand….unless you’ve lost your mother.

She forgot that the institution and the Queen would side with Charles and take her children if necessary. Regardless of WHY Diana agreed to do the interview, she chose to do it. She said what she said and it is now and going forward an historical document. A hundred years from now people examining this period of history will tell of all Diana's men and the adulterous Prince of Wales. Diana, "My Life Is Torture" and Tampon Charlie. The Queen knew Charles was banging Camilla. Prince Philip knew Charles was banging Camilla. Charles' family knew. Camilla's husband knew. Who didn't know ? Diana. You are the 1st person I've seen mention about how they are trying to rewrite history. They are actively trying to portray Charles as a victim and it's infuriating how so many are just looking right past it. Watching these documentaries from 1996 or 97 and all these royal correspondents are saying "there's no way the public will allow Charles to marry the mistress, it's not going to happen" and years down the road, it happened. Then you have Harry actively telling us about how Charles, Cowmilla and William low-key talked to the press about him and Meghan just to have them print those horrible stories so that THEIR public perception looked so much better. That is such a TOXIC system and I don't think it's anything like a family unit that they try to portray. Effin weirdos is what they are. Really need to do away with them.

Or just waiting for her would make him love her more. I was 19 too when I married first and did not work. He was only 5 years older. I think that 19 is too soon. It is very strange, downright weird, for any adult to dislike a complete stranger whom they've never met over bits of gossip which they would have no knowledge of truth. It has been unfortunately shown that when people who behave and think like that are role models as parents, their children have no concept of critical thinking and base all their beliefs on gossip, rumor and ignorance rather than on educated knowledge and logical reasoning.

Charles is so awkward with those young kids . He did not know what to do and his discomfort is painful

It is so sad when you watch this. Poor Diana married for pure love, and sure she made plenty of mistakes, but now Camilla has the position that Diana was supposed to have. “The firm” treated her HORRIBLY, Charles treated her HORRIBLY. They’ve done the same thing to Meghan and Harry. They love you to pieces at first, then slowly despise you.

They wouldn't be royals unless they abided by different rules. No wonder there. Bringing the family into the modern world foceably through transparency was the only solution. The Queen was truly an amazing person, spanning many generations with copious amounts of wisdom to share. OH, come on, she was used to the press for years by the time this was filmed! This was a calculated PR move by her for her SELF, as seen by others....the over-used eye gaze- very exaggerated, the raspy voice, come on, I see it now decades later. "It's all about ME" plain to see NOW....Why didn't she do things for animals instead of galavanting with men? Princes Anne did and probably still does tremendous work for animals....

Imagine Meghan doing this EXACT INTERVIEW with the EXACT words. I remember watching the airing of this program. She was crucified in the British press, much like what they’ve done to her son Harry. She told her truth just like Harry. It wasn’t until after her death that the truth started coming out from people who knew Diana was telling the truth. These journalists who today speak kindly about her but were horrible during her lifetime are the same people who blast Prince Harry for telling his truth. Look how Harry has been treated and it’s exactly what happened to his mother. People who didn’t live through her time have no idea how awful the Royals, the press, and their friends were to Diana. Today, these “experts” want people to believe Diana was tricked into saying what she said but that’s not true. Her book was her truth. Harry’s book was his truth but the Royal Family are experts at hiding the truth in favor of a favorable perception.

I think a partnership would be so much more beneficial so that way we can still be under each other’s umbrellas. I’m not speaking of total break down but one that we could learn especially and protection of the crown but with a place at the table alongside with King and with guidance. Almost like a young adult going into world but with protective guidance.

I loved the Dianna that she wanted to be but sadly Dianne fell pray to her mental illness of Narrsasisum. Just like Harry. Let's face it Charles is one too. Alot of people in the truman show type of life are that way sadly. She was mentally scared by her childhood abandonment and all the therapy wont help if you dont want to see the real u. She only saw part of her mental illness but not the whole lot. Her mum was a big NARRSASIST. Only a NARRSASIST mother abandon's her kids when they can affort to raise them. Im not talking about people who are poor or cant look after there kids for health reasons but her mum had no excuse but selfishness. Dianna was a goid woman and mother but played the victim and played with people. Playing with men and the media for her own manipulation. Sad but selfish people can be charming and loving but its can also be a mask. Or fake thing that they do.
