Diana Ross had an "incredible night" performing in New Orleans, but her high was tempered by an incident that happened as she arrived at the airport.
In a series of tweets Sunday, Ross described her security check at the New Orleans International Airport. “OK so on one hand I’m treated like royalty in New Orleans and at the airport I was treated like s***,” she wrote :
“Let me be clear, not the [people] or Delta BUT TSA, was over the top!! Makes me want to cry !”
On September 22, 1999 the legendary star Diana Ross, was arrested and questioned by police at Heathrow airport in London after an alleged assault on a female security officer. Police said officers had been called by security staff. Reports said the singer had set off an alarm as she passed through a metal detector before boarding a Concorde flight to New York.
Witnesses said she had lost her temper when a woman security guard conducted a body search.
Miss Ross was taken off the plane and held for about three hours before being released without charge.
