Музыка

Arne Næss Jr. (born Arne Rudolf Ludvig Raab; 8 December 1937 - 13 January 2004, aged 66) was a Norwegian businessman, shipping magnate, mountaineer, and the second husband of Diana Ross. In 1985, Næss met American singer Diana Ross on a trip to the Bahamas. He and Ross married in 1985 and had two sons, Ross Arne Næss (born October 7, 1987) and Evan Olav Næss (born August 26, 1988). Through his marriage, he gained three stepdaughters, Rhonda Ross Kendrick (Ross's daughter with Motown founder Berry Gordy), Chudney Ross, and Tracee Ellis Ross; the latter two being Ross's daughters from her first marriage to music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein. The couple divorced in 1999. Næss spent his remaining five years with Norwegian-born Camilla Astrup; they had two sons, Nicklas and Louis.Næss was staying with his friend Johann Rupert on 13 January 2004 when he died in a climbing accident while descending from a peak on Rupert's estate in the Groot Drakenstein mountains near the town of Franschhoek outside Cape Town, South Africa. According to police reports, Næss' anchoring equipment loosened from the porous mountainside, leading to a 103m fall. He was 66 years old.

    I think that Mr Ness truly shared in the life of Miss Ross. I believe that Mr Ness wanted a genuine living, breathing relationship with a like minded human being, which is what Miss Ross concurred to. Having made the decision Mr. Ness left his professional situation and put those energies into his family welfare.

  • @storiking650

    @storiking650

    2 жыл бұрын

    💯Yes ur right💯, he definitely did‼️ It's really so sad 2 me 🥺, bcuz I KNOW this particular love really meant the world to her. She truly hoped their connection was such that they'd grow old & watch their children grow up & become grandparents 2gether. But, in order to have the type of marriage she desired, you have to be willing to make sacrifices & of course we all know "Diane Ross" is not the type of person who's used to not being catered to & having what she wants, whenever she wants it. Arne on the other hand, did not want to live his day 2 day life in the States, he tried his best for her, but it didn't work out business-wise. More importantly, he loved his life & family in Norway, his business was out there, Kiki his beloved, elderly Mother was out there, his beloved Uncle Arne, who was the only "father" he had known lived out there, so he wanted his wife to move to Norway with him. From Diane's perspective, bcuz her oldest girls Rhonda & Tracee had graduated high school & went off to college, during the time she & Arne were married & her youngest daughter Chudney was in h.s. getting ready for college, she couldn't see herself leaving them in another country alone (She is a wonderful parent, so that was very respectable & understandable of her). Also, in her mind, she still had a rather busy & still yet relevant entertainment career that she wasn't interested in abandoning & she didn't think she could handle her American Entertainment Business from Norway, so she resigned to the couple times per year visits that became their norm between the 2, until she noticed both a distance & difference in Arne's behavior & feelings toward her. According to Diane, she really wanted their relationship to work & stand the test of time, so she asked if they could work toward fixing things & Arne reportedly agreed that they would, but, ole Arne had already fallen in-love w/a much younger woman, his 2 youngest son's mother, Ms. Astrup. Diane had learned that he had taken up with this woman & that they were pregnant w/their 1st son & after 15 years 2gether, Arne blindsighted her & filed for divorce. This is the period where it was being reported about Diane being repeatedly caught driving drunk & getting arrested, she was struggling with alcoholism & eventually went to rehab & after leaving rehab 1 night, she was pulled over by the cops, for driving into oncoming traffic inebriated well over the legal limit. This incident really did her in, after all the heartbreak she had been well known to have unleashed on countless of women in her heyday, Karma finally came back around & served her up a super-sized dose of hurt, betrayal, heartbreak & disappointment, the same way she had so carelessly unleashed it on women like Claudette Robinson - Smokey Robinson's wife, when she was having an affair w/him, also Brian Holland's (⅓ of the 3-Man team of Motown's Super-Producers Extraordinaire, "H.D.H./Holland Dozier Holland") woman, while Diane was having an affair w/him & last example, Cher, who was her really good friend, yet bcuz she developed a crush for Cher's then boyfriend, Kiss' Gene Simmons, so she swiped him right from up under Cher, never even having so much as a conversation w/her about it, she just abruptly ✂️CUT✂️ her off, while being seen all over NY & Hollywood w/Cher's man, but he played all over Diane too & never stopped womanizing & that turned out to be a total waste of a lost friend, for absolutely nothing, smh. When you put consistent negative, ugly energy out into the multiverse, hurting innocent people & people who love you, Karma has a 🎟 waiting for that ass, that she's gonna 1 day pull of the dispenser & cash in ur Karmatic ticket & bury you under it. Now look at her, in her late 70s & she ended up doing exactly what she was afraid of & that's "GROWING OLD LONELY W/O A LIFE PARTNER" OR ANY REAL LONGTIME BESTFRIENDS BCUZ SHE COULDN'T KEEP ANY WOMEN FRIENDS W/O TEARING THOSE RELATIONSHIPS APART. P.S. Arne ended up getting his too I guess, bcuz he didn't live long after their divorce. At 66, he fell off of a mountain during another of his famous Mountain Climbing Expeditions. Truly sad all around, for all parties involved.

    @@storiking650 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾Hey Girl!!! 😂 You broke it all the way DOWN! I didn’t know she had an affair with Smokey too. Well DANG! Ms. D just didn’t care. Diana seems(ed) to be a real narcissist. They don’t care who they step on or hurt, as long as they think they’re getting what they want at that moment. And your right…She hasn’t seemed to have had a serious relationship since Arne left her in ‘99 over 20 years ago. I’m just shocked that she actually thought visiting a man twice a year would be enough to keep the relationship strong. 🤨 I guess she thought because she was “THE Diana Ross” that he would stay infatuated. 🤦🏽‍♀️

    @@CodyCole80 👋🏿🥰Hello again friend!!! Yes ma'am the good ole "D-Diana" was a mega piece of work honey!!! Her ego was so inflated & her sense of importance was so off the rictor scales, that no1 could convince her otherwise, she didn't give a hoot who she messed over, just to "mess with" their man. In her mind the world was HER oyster & that's where she was gonna allow things to stay, no matter who got hurt in the process. Craziest thing is there are sooooo many accounts of who Diane really was as a person, that's why I often say on Nay Rob's book club, that I can't fathom for the life of me, how the fans can front like if they came in contact w/a chick who treated them & did 2 them the things that Diane did to so many, that they wouldn't break her face, bcuz I know I would. She's the complete antithesis of "girlcode", I'm talking everything girlcode stands against. So if we're gonna give her her roses for her contribution to entertainment, than we should be able to separate the 2 & do just that, call a scandalous, skanky spade a spade & call a lowdown snake, a snake💯🙂👍🏿!!!!

    @@storiking650 🤦🏽‍♀️ She was even playing with Mike’s head up until she married Arne. Before then, he thought she could do no wrong. She was his dream girl. It took her to suddenly marry before he saw her true colors. Look at his demeanor towards her at the ‘86 AMAs, presenting “WATW.” Diana seemed to get a major kick out of his attention, even though she had no intentions of seriously being with him.

    I must say I came to dislike Diana as a person. And I tried really really hard to like her because of Michael. I wanted to believe she was better than she was, cause he loved her so much, but throughout the interviews I would always come to the same conclusion, that she is kind of shady, disingenuous. Don't know what her motives were to marry this guy, but it's just all really weird to me. She was and still is a beautiful woman, but not so sure about her personality. A lot of people who dealt with her personally also didn't have nice things to say about her. Very ambitious, hungry for attention, wanted everything for herself, selfish, thats what I get in the end of the story. Sorry Diane.
