And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. I must admit I am a little skeptical about the so-called polyphonics in her voice. I’ve heard actual polyphonic singing before and it doesn’t seem like that’s part of her singing technique. It is an ability that can be learned and trained (not necessarily something you’re born with). It seems to me that the sound of her voice is produced instead with some really interesting harmonics, which I suppose we can attribute to the anatomy of her vocal tract and larynx, and this is why at some times the note she sings sounds a lot deeper than it really is. This is just a theory. Exactly how her voice works is a mystery that evades many professionals

No Autotune, this is Diana! 😊 This was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. She is a natural dramatic contralto (VERY deep!) which is rare in females but exceptionally rare in someone so young! There are three categories of contralto: coloratura contralto, lyric contralto, and dramatic contralto, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice. Diana is a dramatic contralto and I just love her!

Great reaction! The first time I heard her, it was "odd" to me because I never heard a voice like that. Diana is a dramatic contractor, the lowest female range and the rarest. What you hear that sounds like auto tune is indeed her voice. She has polyphonic overtones meaning more tones at one time. I believe I've read she is 1 in 5 billion to be this way. Jillian is right 14 or 15 here do Rechenka and Blizzard they are the same shows. It usually gives a number in the title and that is usually her age. Of Course she won all the shows she competed in. She is Incredible. She is probably 19 present day. She is a Contralto and possibly a Dramatic Contralto but they don't usually give the actual Dramatic Title until they are closer to 30 years old.

She was 15 here, and this was her second consecutive season she appeared in this show. The previous year, when she was 14, she sang the legendary performance of Rechenka, where she did even more vocal tricks than here in Wicked Game. But even that was not her first appearance in the show. In the first episode, she performed Dernière Danse and enchanted all the judges with her personality and stage presence.

This Wicked Game live performance happened when Diana Ankudinova was 15 years old in May 2019, when this performance was recorded when she took part in a talent show for disadvantaged teens called You Are Super and ended up winning the competition. Diana's performance showed she is a true contralto voice type. Но вы сделали надуманное эссе. Диана интерпретировала песню по-своему, для меня первоначальная версия - это законченное целое, к которому, я думаю, не удалось подобраться ни одному артисту. И здесь тоже до меня толкование не дошло, хотя технически и эмоционально она зрелая певица.

Dont feel bad, Wicked game was my first viewing of her sing and i had to watch in 6 times before i trusted my own ears. At first i thought it was production effects but its a singing competition so i doubted that. I checked the sound levels on my computer and that was fine. after that i gave up and believed and dove head first into her songs. She is amazing, a word that seems over used today in the world of Dimash, Aurora and Angelina but it fits. She has a youtube channel with videos of her singing, practicing and even just being a goofy teenager.

From what I have read, Diana came from a broken family, she was abandoned, bruised, and wounded, at around 5 years old, on the streets of Russia in winter, by her drug-addicted mom who had attempted to drown Diana in a bath. When she was discovered she was unable to speak. Her adoptive mom took her to voice therapy which included yodeling, to help with her speaking voice and of course, her singing voice was discovered. She has a very rare contralto voice, the lowest range there is, and has polyphonic capabilities, which I think allows her to sing two notes at the same time. Other singers can also sing two notes at the same time, but it takes a lot of training and practice, in Diana's case, it comes more naturally. I am sure I will be corrected if anything I have said is incorrect.

Great reaction! I've listened to Diana singing for quite a while and I still find her fascinating! Listen to Rechenka, Human and Demier Danse. She was 14 to 16 years old singing those. She is now 19 and I cannot wait to hear her in 6 or 7 years when her singing voice matures.

Nice reaction. The name pronunciation was not bad. It is actually Dee aah na An coo Dee nova. BTW, she was 15 here. Her voice is very deep and is considered a contralto, which is the lowest voice to the female can have. She also has polyphonic which is extremely, extremely rare. That means that she can actually sing two notes at one time.

She is for sure mesmerizing. Along with you, this is the 2nd song I've heard from her. I find her lowest notes beyond haunting, more on the verge of disturbing. If she has any "up-beat" songs, I'd be interested to hear how she covers them. Thanks Josh

She won consecutive competitions with "You Are Super" and another in "The Show Mask Go On", totaling 16 performances, and surprised me every time. I'm thinking you would really enjoy her take on Rag'n' Bone Man's "Human." I had only heard him once before she did an awesome cover at the age of 15!

This voice, which penetrates into the soul, and chills to the bones, is absolutely incredible, some kind of unearthly, or something. And it's not just Diana, they call her a "shaman". It's impossible to break away from her when you listen to her sing, the magic of her voice is fascinating and it's not just the performance of a song, but a whole performance, Diana immerses you in this work, carries you along, and you just meekly follow her, trusting her completely. Polyphonic ( two tones at once) and she is a contralto (lowest female voice). She was 15 here. After winning this contest. The bald judge paid for her to live in Moscow to train and go to school. The first video you watch was her at 18 after years of training her higher register. She had a very traumatic upbringing to the age of 5. She could hardly speak. Because of this it was recommended to her foster mom to give her vocal lessons. She has been performing ever since. Should read into it. Mind blowing what she went through at such a young age! Great reaction!

Im not gonna lie, it has a hellraiser feel to it. Especially seeing the beautiful person projecting this amazing yet demonic sound. Although it may seem like im criticizing it, I really like it.
