Зачем ей звание это? Песни людей, которые слушают годами, десятилетиями - сколько этих людей были "народными артистами"? Есть конечно всякие Лещенко-Кобзоны... но их песни я не слышу из машин, из окон и гаражей. Это звание у нас чаще для прихлебателей и дрессированных попугаев власти.

Diana's singing is so shamanic, I think she could call down the old gods with her voice. The song is about an orphan girl who is to be married to one she doesn't love. She goes to the river to ask for blessing & protection; she has no one to look to for help. It is especially meaningful to Diana, who is herself an orphan. You were right in thinking it sounds tribal, as her biological mother is from an ancient native shamanic tribe, the Nivkh people. Wikipedia has an interesting article about this tribe. Diana's mother was abusive, and she ended up in an orphanage by the time she was three or so. She was finally adopted in her early teens. She was non-verbal, so a doctor suggested her adoptive parents enroll her in singing lessons. What you hear is the fortunate result of a life begun in tragedy. So the emotion in her singing comes from a very deep well of pain. She miraculously remains cheerful & hopeful. Oh, that "thing" she does is related to yodeling. In fact, she has a song called Jodel-Time. You can find it on You Tube.

Karolyn Hoover a "well of pain"? Not likely. A human doesn't reach their cognitive years until right about 3 years of age so she wouldn't recollect the abuse nor probably anything about her biological mother. The body has this mechanism to protect one's fragile psyche from being scarred by the horrific memories of your birth and the countless nights you cry as an infant because your hot, cold, hungry, or laying in your own feces til your diaper is changed. Even bright lights, loud sounds or strange adults hovering over you would traumatize a baby who literally knows squat about the world. However, you are right about us being blessed by the path that situation resulted in.

@@toddpeucker9905 Not so. One's personality is pretty well set by the age of six. And the psychological impact of trauma at the age of two can subsequently cause a multitude of problems. Problems such as fear of abandonment, & anxiety & panic disorders. Even though one doesn't consciously remember events of the first three years, they still have profound and lasting effects..

Karolyn Hoover firstly, I didn't mention anything about 6. Unless the early trauma left physical debilitating conditions that carried into later years, the perceived mental abuse would NOT be remembered prior to 3. It is a medical fact that the body protects the mind in its most chaotic and vulnerable years when you need time to adapt to early life and environment. If this wasn't the case, 90% of the world would be emotionally fractured beyond repair. And no, your personality is not set by 6. It simply is the personality you've developed up to that point based on stimuli and experiences you've been exposed to til that point but continues to evolve well into your teen years as you have more interactions with people, peers, and new environments. People are an amalgam of life influences based on stimuli, challenges, accomplishments, homelife, school life, work, entertainment, teachers, friends, family members, lovers and strangers. Not to mention region, race, economic status, religious and political upbringing, even diet. Most people will never know or pinpoint the people and events that had major impacts on who they became. They'll be able to cite a few obvious ones, but the unseen factors are more complicated, random and most importantly, much more relevant than we ever lend credence to....trust.

But I will maintain that events in the pre-verbal stage of a child's development have long-lasting effects, If you beat a two year-old, & scream about how much you hate them & wish they were dead, that trauma remains in the unconscious, even if not consciously remembered. I'm not talking about minor discomfort such as being hungry or having a wet diaper.

Видимо наболело ему - слушать ерунду от киркоровско-пугачевской банды, да и хватает у нас и вас зажравшихся, никак не развивающихся исполнителей на экранах. Вот чистые голоса-струйки и призваны свыше обновить и освежить "реченьку". Здорово, что Игорь Крутой устраивает шоу в которых мы можем столько талантливых парней и девушек услышать и оценить.

Diana is from Russia. Both Dimash and Daneliya are from Kahzakhstan, where they speak both Kazakh and Russian. Dimash and Daneliya know each other. So Dimash performs Russian songs and speaks Russian to those audiences. That tribal glottal stop technique he did in "Sinful Passion" in Sochi, Russia is something that a commenter said was something that was done by Kazakh and Mongolian women at funerals. The Sochi concert was organized by Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who was the man in the front row who was standing in the front row after "Sinful Passion". Кроме того, хотя Казахстан после распада Советского Союза и стал отдельным самостоятельным государством, тем не менее общее культурное пространство еще окончательно не исчезло. I think You're right. И Димаш и Диана действительно родились на территории бывшего СССР, но теперь они граждане разных государств, Диана - России, Димаш - Казахстана, но для нас они - соотечественники, которых мы любим и гордимся ими. А песня о девушке, в дом к которой пришли сваты, нет у нее ни отца, ни матери,со своим смятением она и пришла к реке. Послушайте ее исполнение песни "Human",это воистину удивительно.

I love love love your reactions and all your assumptions and guesses ;) Rechenka is a Russian folk song and even though Diana performed it in a modern arrangement but it still had that ancient tribal feel to it. I remember my grandma singing it. Her vocals weren't THAT impressive of course but the singing techniques were pretty similar. What Dimash did was more typical of his native Kazakh music...But both are amazing of course. They are young and grew up when both Russia and Kazakhstan became independent but I think that the influence of the Soviet Union which was a giant melting pot of cultures of it many republics still exists and it's not surprising if some of their runs and riffs sound similar.

Yes, the singing is amazing and it's literally freeze you in time and space, but when you understand the words, it makes more sense why she is singing the way she does. There is amazing wholeness in that performance, magical completion. There is nothing you can take away or add to it.

Не надо быть таким жестоким.Почему вы нк хотите предположить,что "Голосу"просто не разрешили принимать Диану?"Ты - супер" по статусу выше,а на "Голосе" её могли просто задвинуть.Я думаю,кое-кто решил не рисковать - решение зрителей - фактор непредсказуемый.

Ну куда Нюше йодль? Она вообще знает, что это? Она могла понять, насколько это сложно, технично, профессионально? Могу ошибаться, но по-моему так.

За Димаша в России многие болеют, он сотрудничает с Игорем Крутым, выступает на российских сценах, он для россиян много значит, мы его тоже отчасти своим считаем как и группу А-Студио, Розу Рымбаеву, Мурата Насырова, Скриптонита, Ержана и других талантливых артистов из Казахстана.

I lost my post on what I've read about this amazing girl, so will try again. Diana's singing is so shamanic, I think she could call down the old gods with her voice. The song is about an orphan girl who is to be married to one she doesn't love. She goes to the river to ask for blessing & protection; she has no one to look to for help. It is especially meaningful to Diana, who is herself an orphan. You were right in thinking it sounds tribal, as her biological mother is from an ancient native shamanic tribe, the Nivkh people. Wikipedia has an interesting article about this tribe. . Her mother was abusive, so Diana ended up in an orphanage by the time she was three or so. She was finally adopted in her early teens. She was non-verbal, so a doctor suggested her adoptive parents enroll her in singing lessons. What you hear is the fortunate result of a life begun in tragedy. So the emotion in her singing comes from a very deep well of pain. She miraculously remains cheerful & hopeful. Oh, that "thing" she does is related to yodeling. In fact, she has a song called Jodel-Time. You can find it on You Tube.
