The lyrics of the song "So it happened ― the men left ..." conveys all the female longing for husbands, sons and fathers who went to war. A timeless work, not tied to an epoch or a historical event, carries the response of the distant Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The song was written in 1972. Vladimir Vysotsky is a legendary personality, a man of an epoch, he has not been with us for 42 years, but his songs are sung and will be sung, and they are always relevant. This is not the first Vysotsky song that Diana sings and, as always, she performed it perfectly, and heartfelt to tears. I am grateful to her for that.

This is not the first time Diana covers Vysotsky she did that before with the song "Ornery horses" kzread.info/dash/bejne/nqlsy7lycsa9nbw.html It seams to me that she was born to cover this wonderful artist, she absolutely channels him through her.
