Yes, true ! All is said ... Beloved and dear young Diana Adamyan !
My husband was a classical violinist. We were keeping him company as he died of copd, joking about the US election. We left him alone a moment and I put this performance of the Bruch on for him. When we checked, he had peacefully died. This is the best....I think Yehudi was very happy!!
This is a unbeatable performance among sensor violin competition in 2018, her emotion was totally injected into the melody. With the help from a top orchestra to perform such violin concerto resonates my heart so much, makes tear fills in my eyes during listening and look at her emotional face at the same time. She plays it with her heart, like the violin is her body and the sound is her soul fills with undescribable built in sadness. She plays the same piece during the closing ceremony but I feel she has not the same emotional mood while playing, perhaps her sadness was overlaid by her latest winning glory. This is her successful master piece among all her works that I could find and I have a feeling that she perform much better on those music that resonate with her sadness.
So well deserved. A star is born.
Congratulations so well deserved ! You played the Bruch beautifully !So many great violinists and musicians come from beautiful Armenia !!You have a great future !

I am so moving in hearing and seeing Diana Adamyan ... She deserved so much to win the competition ! There is so much humanity in her violin playing ... Also, her violin sounds so authentic and unique ! I would say, her soul is perfectly Armenian, but it's even more ! Something so close to me is told in her music ... it remains me so much, and also in seeing her ... flow my tears ! This concerto is one of my preferred musics, but i rediscover it as a new one in such a marvelous rendition. So young an yet an absolute master of violin ! God bless her and bless Armenia ! From France .
Congrats, Diana! You were my favourite from the beginning, not only for the music but also because of your graciousness. Congrats from the Caribbean!!!
Extremely beautiful and soulful playing. The second movement was being played so heavenly that brought tears to my eyes... ❤️

Well deserved first prize

2 years passed and this is still my fav interpretation 🖤🙏
1:16 - Mvt 1 9:49 - Mvt 2 18:34 - Mvt 3 🎵🎻🎶🥀🎵🎻🎶🥀🎵🎻🎶🥀🎵
Brilliant relentless crafting of every note to massage strings to resonate with our heart strings, aware even with eyes closed ... to the crescendoing and de-crescendoing inner endorphin surges... that unites and can unite humanity in such masterful zestful playing that is also balanced with respectful, deepest , profound reaching of height and depth of the spirit ...with a professional world class orchestra proud to stand with her at the end to acknowledge the audience appreciation. Made it much easier for the judges definitely! Bravo Diana! May you inspire your people in their struggles to hold on to what is best in them also !
You can just tell she feels the music in her soul & plays it beautifully! Beyond beautiful, loss of words 🥺

One of the moments that makes existence tolerable. A box made of wood and a young female human who becomes more beautiful as she partners to decode, explain what the composer probably wanted to transmit. Thank you all.
It's just amazing,wonderful,Thank you so much

Wow .So musical . Every phrase meaningful , felt . Such intensity , focus and concentration !
Her shifts sound so amazing, they are elegant not only in technicality, but in musicality. I was looking for a clue on her bowing technique then I saw it was her LH. Amazing. Moving rendition, specially the first part.
De todas las versiones de KZread esta se convirtió en mi preferida......
Блестяшее исполнение! Замечательная талантливая девочка! Дай Бог тебе здоровья и сил!

I think I can see the influence of Pinchas Zukerman somewhere - full sound and into the string. No drop of tone is allowed to escape from the violin ...
U moved me. Amazing!

She's brilliant!
Wow she so deserves the first place like yo
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a power to move . Never heard better violinist .
I never heard her before. beautiful playing, Diana
i watched this clip today for the first time , very touching and magnificent. and i thought it was similar to mintz/abbado(gramophon)version for a moment if she will come to my country some day , i want to hear her violin playing ~
Great performance!! 🎻 🎻 🎻 🎻 👏 👏 👏 😊
She is really feeling the music. Lovely performance!
Her emotion and interpretation brings me to a place that feels all too familiar. Absolutely incredible 💐
She has the Eva Gold strings!!! I love those strings, when I got them they were super smooth and have great tone!!!

Evah Gold are bright, not warmer. The A string lasted me a week and a half, before the core stretched unevenly and I couldn't find octaves on it anymore.

Search on youtube for violin string reviews by Whitehorse music in Australia. At the end of the video, they have all strings played back to back, so you'll get a sense of the tone of many major string brands/models.

Listen to the squeak at 23:57 and you'll see why it's important what strings she uses. More importantly, strings let the player hear what she's playing, so she can adjust and play correctly.

Dr Tom S, DDS I used evah pirazzi before and yes they tend to whistle quite often that’s why I stopped using them
Breathtaking indeed!
she was my clear favorite in the entire competition, i am so happy she won! well deserved. Are they broadcasting live the closing concert ???
Awesome! Thanks!
Absolument tout, et à chaque instant, est rempli de la plus profonde spiritualité et qualité technique.

Félicitation pour cette interprétation magistrale.
Congratulations !!
If you look at my other comments in general. You will notice that I am very critical. Many times in a negative way. I must say, that this was an excellent live performance. BRAVO!!!!! I rarely give a BRAVO!!!!! unless truly earned. Special praise should be given to the conductor. He is a true artist and beautifully follows her. But when it’s orchestra time without the soloist, he really brings out the music in his own style. A lot of energy and truly one of the best performances of this work. The orchestra also sounded great. B R A V O ! ! ! ! !
So beautiful!!! BRAVO.

rv706 I am not aware that calling “bravo” reffers to somebody’s gender..it really does not. At least as I have known for my whole life as a musician. It is always just bravo. But thank You for the interest.
@rv706

So you've known it wrong your whole life. Even the great Gustav Mahler made a mistake in Italian calling "Adagietto" a movement of his Fifth Symphony (in correct Italian, even of his own time, it should be "Adagetto", without the "i"). I know, everybody does this "bravo" mistake... at the point that I'm wandering if it could really be considered also an ENGLISH adverb instead of an Italian adjective (as it is).
First thing I noticed: 4 fine tuners!
@elimyu4108
4 жыл бұрын
Well I think sometimes they have 4 fine tuners is because of the size, and smaller violins become out of tune easily...and full size violin usually don’t. It’s either that Diana is not on a full size violin, or she is on full size but the violin goes out of tune
@Kaylaa23
4 жыл бұрын
My violin teacher, who won the first price at a prestigious international contest when he was young, says it's an elitist notion that you should use only one fine tuner. He himself has a tailpiece with four built in tuners. Some also say that a shoulder rest restricts the sound. I think it's all a matter of personal choice. I myself have built in fine tuners but no shoulder rest.
@dsdasdfasdf1818

@@lottaart7848 A shoulder rest restricts your sound way more than your fine tuners do.

yes! that was the first thing i noticed too
@concertmasterntl
4 жыл бұрын
Nonombre this is not true on all violins. On many violins, a shoulder rest increases the sound because the shoulder isn’t stopping the back of the violin from vibrating. Depends on the violin, the shoulder rest, and the fine timers and whether they agree with a particular instrument.
Sublime!
А с оркестром девочка ещё больше раскрылась!!! Браво!!!!
Now I like Bruch. Learning about Armenia. Amazing people.
