I have watched this at least 10 times. I love Claire’s smart remarks and how she handles Reagan. I love the kid who plays Sean.

Very fun. It's a great juxtaposition to see how Denny and Reagan see and treat her. Denny, while being sociable and fun, sees her as a servant and cannot see the brilliant woman she is: Smart, family oriented, ambitious with her own wants and needs. Reagan, while prickly and demanding, instantly sees she's intelligent, hard working and perceives her crush on Denny. Once he knows of Sean, her brother, he makes an effort to make sure she can put him first. Reagan NEVER asks her to do menial tasks for him. (Denny has her get drycleaning and Reagans uncomfortable with her cleaning his shirt) Reagan is willing to put her needs and comfort over his (offering his lunch to her while Denny makes Claire deal with a difficult client out of laziness) Reagan respects and trusts her. While attracted to her, he is building a friendship or companionship with her and helps her get what she wants (Denny). Claire, for her part, realises she wants someone who will take care of her sometimes but always be by her side as an equal partner.

One of my favourite movies, it was so nice to find it on KZread. I would love a “clearer” version if anyone has one, but it was great to watch it again after many years.

I shall never tire. I can unabashedly say I've watched this movie A 1000 times. Please stay.... DON'T TAKE THESE MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS THAT I'VE GOT.....jus saying.

Mills and boon was a romance publisher. I think they were bought out by or merged with Harlequin books ( the people who made this movie) years ago. In fact I think I read this book before it was a movie 🤔 I hated the H, can't stand an alpha A hole. He only shines in comparison to his immature user brother🤮 You can find more of these book to movies here under harlequin.

Could never get tired of watching this movie. Love it alot.

I've never read a harlequin romance book in my life. Tonight, I needed sweet. This was perfect. I don't know the route that brought me to this, But I'm glad it did.

I do miss the scenery in Ca, it is awesome,especially the old olive trees and the great medians between streets.

love the scene where Denny is scratching his head and butt trying to figure out his own case without Clara's help.

Loved it even though I had watched it before I just couldn't stop. Regan is so dashing & his expressions are amazing. Dialogues are crisp too. Awesome.

Here let me lie down in front of the car to try to keep you from leaving lol....Cracks me up every time.

U can watch long kiss good night starring geena Davis of telma and Louis fame and samuel L Jackson must watch action movie. Old movie got released in probably 1996 . Definitely u will love the movie. Narrow margin starring gene hack men ultimate suspense movie. He got ocsar for best actor for French Connection movie. He acted in. Another nice story . Seeing a film is like listening to a storyteller . It's all about the story and how it is presented . The environment is well chosen . The big brother is a bully , who grows on you , but the girl makes the story lovable .😀

Total cheese but such wonderful cheese. I loved it. ETA: Having watched a bunch of other movies based on Harlequin novels, this is the best of the bunch: good acting, plot that holds up and with none of the characters acting stupid, and good chemistry between the leads.

They do an excellent job contrasting Denny with Reagan to show how much better Reagan is for her. Example: Denny selfishly making Claire do menial chores (dealing with his dry cleaning) and his work, ignoring her needs or external life (taking care of Sean). Reagan gives up his food, sacrificing hish en and needs, because she is hungry. When she gets sauce on his shirt he's reluctant to gi Hvee gets tickets for Sean because he wants to, not to win him or her over. He also works at her house because she wants to be home with Sean. Reagan instantly can tell Claire is very intelligent and appreciates her work. Denny doesn't notice that she's what holds the firm together until she stops doing his work and he has to figure it out.

WOW she was so plain at the start of the movie that I actually found her rather homely. What a transformation!

I enjoy watching this movie over and over.

I have seen this movie so many times and it never gets old. I like it a lot.

Set in Cape Town... Stellenbosch and Camps bay... thought I recognised some well known South African actors! Fun to watch!

Never realized how wholesome the little brother is for this movie

Diamond girl is a 💎 diamond story indeed . Despite obstacles it was evidently a story of love at first sight and the ending is brilliant . Great story line . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💎💎💎💎💎👍👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 star movie .

Oh, man do I love this movie. I first viewed it on CTV back in 2001 and thought it was cute. I was looking for it for so long, even on Amazon, but they at first only had the book (which I bought). Then some time later, I found and bought the movie. I watch it every Valentine's day. It took a lot of liberties from the book, but I still love it. Joely Collins is adorable (and looks just like her Dad) and Jonathan Cake is gorgeous.

But Reagan already respected her legal mind and was looking out for her / taking care of her Reagan: sharing his lunch with her at the country club. Denny: probably would have eaten whatevs and made her starve or had "lunch" with Margot and let her do all his work and fend for herself ... again That scene is a pivotal scene. It shows that yes, Regan is wealthy but Claire really doesn't care about that (refusing to order an expensive lunch as she wants to pay her own way / not take advantage of his money) And Regan can already see there is more to Claire than meets the eye (Asking her opinion on Bernier, for her input on the distribution deal and asking why she isn't a lawyer as she is obviously running the whole firm) The back and forth between them paints them on a more equal footing compared to Denny and Claire (he's her boss, he takes advantage of her and doesn't really care about her needs)

This movie is cute and my guilty pleasure!

Oh what fun. I thought I recognized the hair dresser and our mate Rodger Lucy as the taxi driver, Joely was fun too. A Canadian / Serf Efrikin production and filmed in Cape winelands. Highly enjoyable for light escapist entertainment.

Shawn is so cute. So protective of his big sister. I have a young college age friend named Shane and he reminds me so much of Shawn. And I have a great nephew named Shawn. He has grandchildren. I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ how old he is but I’m 79 years old.

That is a one time movie for me. I have never in my life watched romance movies, I lost my wife 4 years ago and lived a romance. After she was gone it was tuff. A month ago I started a binge on romance movies. Very unlike me. I guess this has been a way to finally heal and move on. This was not my favorite story.
