I seen the original video and agreed with the driver. He’s clearly a chancer who has nothing better to do than cause havoc! People like this rile me tbh. As soon as he started swearing he would of been getting asked to kindly remove himself from my bus for his abusive behaviour 👍

The blind gentlemen is using his disability and condition against the driver, being absolutely awkward and trying to use his words smartly to make the driver look like he's in the wrong

Good explanation, apparently this Guy is Homeless and Sofa Surfing as he said in his second newest video- no wonder he doesn’t wanna pay! I suppose smoking what appears to be spliffs doesn’t help him either with the stress!!

Don't you just love it when someone is wrong but will still try and fight to the bitter end, even if they're definitely wrong

As a TFGM English National Concession Plus Disabled Travel Pass holder myself only Passes issued by TFGM are vaild for travel before 9:30. Out of area passes are only allowed after 9:30. He is obviously trying to using his out of area bus pass before 9:30 but he kicks off when the ticket machine rejects it.

The lad can't string a sentence together 😜

You're spot on as usual and he only deletes comments who don't support his side because as you said, he just doesn't get it! Transport is devolved in Scotland (Wales too I think) and English passes are invalid here, he would have no choice but to pay. Honestly though, it might be better if he were to be banned from travelling by bus because no bus driver deserves to be treated the way the Diamond one was.

My bus pass is valid in all of south Yorkshire + after 9:00AM in other parts of England

It's more of the ID thing it won't scan here so the driver is just asking to see the guys face so he can check the pass is same as the person as the machine will just reject it. Could be stolen or reported loss. Had it many of time and normally they will be happy to show you the pass you can see it's the person that is suppose to be using it. It's in date and it's all good.

I just love how this blind guy thinks everyone else is wrong but him... In this video, as in the one I saw previously, he admits that the pass is out of area, but doesn't seem to accept that as the reason why the machine won't accept it. I start training for Go Northwest in the next few weeks, just waiting for my provisional to arrive, and I'll probably have the displeasure of dealing with someone like this at some point.

16th March - the week before first lockdown.

The driver was in the right. The passenger has a Nottingham travel pass, not a Greater Manchester one. He can only use the pass between 9:30am to 11:00pm on Monday to Friday and anytime on Saturday and Sunday when outside of the county. The passenger was making a right nuisance of himself

I have a Buckinghamshire Council bus pass that is not excepted in the whole of the uk only in England after 9:30 am and 9 am on local journeys that start in Buckinghamshire. My pass has a pluss 1 element which cant be used in Northamptonshire so my companion had to pay and only me as the hilder could use it. As it was the first time me using it in that County i agreed with the driver and paid my friends fare without getting annoyed or aggressive with the driver.

Don’t the passes state on the back they are actually property of the local authorities so it’s not even like he’s asking to view something of his it’s owned by who someone else, council for example, or Mine in West Yorkshire is atleast

Ye gods!!! Someone teach this guy a lesson the difference between National and local bus passes. Suspicious about him though, claims to be blind but he can film on his phone... 🤔

The driver shouldn't be going through all this, he has enough responsibilities as it is, focussing on the road ensuring the safety of his passengers, navigating one of many routes they are required to learn, and actively looking out for passengers wanting to board or alight. The way I see it, the machine is hardly wrong. If a pass doesn't get accepted, there's a reason. In this case, his pass is 'Out of Area'. That's the reason, so his options are either pay the fare and take it up with Customer Service later - if the company's in the wrong, I'm sure they'd refund the price and/or offer a gesture of goodwill for the trouble, or just get off and admit there's a problem. People love to cause a scene trying to prove why they're right even when they're not.

Hang on, if he’s blind, how can he upload videos to KZread?? I don’t know if the English passes are the same as the Scottish passes with the council logo in the corner and if you notice, he’s holding the pass in the corner where the council logo would be on the Scottish passes, so if there is a logo, he already knows he can’t use it but by heck, it’s the perfect customer training for drivers on how to deal with difficult customers.

If a Muslim woman came on the bus waring a burka would you ask her to do the same I.e ask to see her face for the pass?

The driver has been doing the right thing, this selfish guy who thinks hes right says his pass works everywhere... my disabled pass is allowed in MOST places in England, the few areas I've found its not valid so far is in Norfolk and area around Chesterfield. So what i learned if your pass is just valid in your home county, then its not valid outside, but if its national, then with terms and conditions you'll be able to travel through most of e.g England

wont work if he s outside region he s have tell driver where going give u ticket only goes green if in region i think rediculas way our bus fares set higher then capital get bus in london single £1.50 here £3 even on magic bus is £2 but get train where i live into manchester return payonline £4.80 while get bus paying £3 single return £6 dayrider £5 how messed up it is but i blame this on population if more was invested more took public transport instead been encurrage drive never had population louzy goverments westminister who dont give 2 shits about north all for capital manchester been left in dark for many years but remember hearing he came from different region be why has tell where going works different use in different city still free but have tell them give u ticket probley not aware of it
