She changed my life by letting me rent a space next to here garage 40 years ago so I could rebuild the motor on the bus I lived in. Her kindness allowed me to fix my motor and get out of the desert to create Tiny Texas Houses and other great things I got to do after her gift of time and space I needed so bad. Thank you, thank you, thank you Diahann... you changed my life with that one favor.

I grew up watching Julia on TV, it was ahead of it's time and an inspiration to young and old Blacks , not accustomed to seeing ourselves in roles of professionals on TV, even though I had Registered Nurses, Teachers, Social Workers , Dentists in my own extended family. As an African American, I am the first in my nuclear family to graduate college; others followed after. I remember watching "Claudia", with Diahann Carroll , James Earl Jones, Lawrence Hilton Jacobs and an amazing cast of young actors and actresses, that movie touched home because I grew up with women who worked and did the best they could to raise their children. Three things you were always told by my mother growing up: " Finish school/Get a Job, Don't bring no babies in Here unless you are married; and I am not going to see nobody in any jail". God Bless her heart, my mother will be 83 years old this year, and all 4 of us daughters did exactly that. RIP Dear Ms. Carroll, I will never forget you.

Well I'm sad to hear of her departure of life. But Diane's Beauty class and elegance I will never forget for this lady is all about that. I Totally enjoyed her character on Dyanasty that was fabulous work from her. But I first saw Diane Carrol on TV as Julia, our family time was precious we watch her show to support her weekly she was stunning beautiful i think my dad had a slight crush on her and Nancy Wilson by her grace on screen. I continued to follow her over the years in her fantastic Career. One My favorite movies by her is Claudine among others . I know she enjoyed her life, she always dressed to the 9's and loved everything she worked for to deserve. 🕊🕊RIP Diane, you will be missed loved and remembered by me, and others always. 😍⚘⚘⚘👏👏👏
