Don’t mess with gear ratio unless you mechanically changed the gear ratio, the option in the tune is to match the gear on the vehicle.

Tuned my 2015 Silverado with a Flashpaq. Worked really well. Ty for the shift points. Very hard info to find. I upped my throttle boost to 20% and my truck had a bit of a rough lag type shift going into third. Lowered it to 16% on the boost and adjusted my shift points to yours basically. Truck is shifting great and its actually a bit quicker than with the boost all the way up. I'm guessing that the higher RPMs have to do with that. So again thanks for the info sir.

I have a 07 vortex max and I used this tuner. Believe me it woke my 6.0 up. 4:10 rearend with a 4l70e trans. The trans isn't sloppy anymore and way better peddle response. I do run the 93 Diablo tune and drives just like everyday driver. But will get with it when those hemi trucks try me on.

I just bought the Superchips flashpac, and the screen is IDENTICAL to your Diablo. They have identical options, same wording, even the same fonts. Hell, even their websites are almost identical. I had no idea these were from the same company. I bet the tunes are identical, too.

Thank you in advance for replying to my question! I used to have a 2002 Corvette with the Diablosport Predator (not 2) and was able to go into it and manually 'modify' the Diablo tune, like turning up/down fuel, advancing/retarding timing, adjusting actual percentages of the multiple parameters. Does this allow for that, or is it just plug and play, and take whatever tune they deem us worthy (because apparently we're too stupid to improve their tune...)? I do alternative fuel systems, and need to be able to go into the tune and adjust fuel and ignition timing, etc. Have they made this tuna even more 'canned' than the previous Predator? I have a 2003 5.3 Envoy XL with the 4.10s, it's surprisingly quick compared to other 5.3 vehicles I've driven. Thnks.

How's the throttle response feature? Do you get better throttle response? I'm undecided between this and pedal commander.

This made my Tahoe night and day difference

One thing confuses me a tad is the shift points. When I am at wide open throttle I want the trans to shift at say 5700 in all the gears but obviously for normal driving I want it to be close to stock settings. The choices do not seem to tell me much I am guessing at this point a guy would just up the value a few notches and take the car out for a test beating?

Also can the tuner turn on your coolant fan sooner?

A couple questions one can this disable the rear 02sensors and to u have to buy the tunes for it?

Is this good for a 4x4 1500 i just installed 35” tires and was told i can do this to relieve stress and gas on differentials.. i was told i have to install 4.56 gears so trying to see if this is another route.. i have 3.73’s currently

I have a 2015 suburban LTZ My catalytic went and I removed it I have a straight pipe will this help me remove the engine light ?

I guess im more interested in the "stopping it from down shifting mode." I thought that was an option on this tuner. I pull a big fifth wheel. That would be a great option for me. What catagory was that under?

What is throttle boost, is that pedal sensitivity or a pedal tuner.

Just got mine today. Tuned my silverado and wanted to tune my suburban as well. THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR 2 VEHICLES. Just an FYI....the tuner must lock out after you use it on the first vehicle.

Running premium fuel my 2018 Escalade with the 10 speed was slower with the Diablo tune. I shit you not. But my 2008 Escalade woke up immediately with the Superchips programmer.

I got a yukon denali 2000 with a 5.7L Vortec V8, i bought this tuner and im afraid of applying a tune because it said its for the 5.3L and the 6.0L engines and doesnt mention 5.7L, so if i apply the 6L tune or the 5.3L Tune will it fuck up my ecu? Or engine at worst? Or will their be enough wiggle room? And if it does mess with it, will the stock option return it to my stock settings on my denali or does it use a stock setting thats applied to the tuner based on Liter size of the engine

TEAM :C: DEATH if you apply a tune to the truck and it’s not compatible with that vehicle it will lock the ecm and prevent the truck from even starting. Contact the manufacturer and confirm if that model number is good with your vehicle. Once you return the tune to stock it’ll go back to normal

Yes, assuming you're running alloy heads. If you're RUNNING a turbo you can dial back your blow off at any rpm or torque point.

Do all those tunes come on the device out of the box? I bought the SCT X4 and it comes with 1 tune and you have no idea what it's changing. I have bigger wheels and tires, after market intake, and flowmaster super 44 muffler. There is zero settings to tell the X4 that I have any of those. What I heard after buying it is that a custom tune will have those changes. So after paying $400 now I have to pay more to get a customer tune to have those changes put into a tune. Not happy with the X4! 😡😡

I think they’re for multiple vehicles but you will only be able to tune on at a time. So you will be able to use it for one vehicle at a time.

When you switch to 93 tune from87 do u just have to run your 87 fuel all the way out and refuel with 93 and good to go...?

It's best to run your tank down to Empty and fill up with 93 octane before you even consider plugging in the tuner and changing to the 93 tune. You will cause your engine to labor knock with the 87octane fuel, and that is hard on your engine especially if you are heavy with the throttle. Is it going to blow up?? Probably not in normal driving, but why take the chance?

I’m thinking about getting this , if I am switching it back and forth often would that be a bad idea

Spark plugs will go out evantually but other than that ur good try to stick with one tune cause ur truck needs to get used to it

You can do either but to meet the needs of an economy tune I would run 87. That way the engine isn’t expecting anything higher octane.

Why would you consider changing the gear ratio setting if you didnt change gears? Do you know what you are doing?

Don R it’s a setting that adjusts the trans not the actual gears. It gives you a little more on the bottom end and runs a higher rpm up top at cruise

My gripes about this tuner: 1) There's no 91 octane tune (cmon!). 2) You can't adjust your cooling fans. 3) "Diablo" values are meaningless because you don't know what they are. 4) You have to choose one of the listed gear ratios, you can't just type in what you have. 5) You can only choose to increase rev limits, you csn't specify how much...pretty crappy. Note: Yes, the Diablo tune says 91 or 93 octane, but 91 for that tune is for high elevation. It's not a replacement for a 91 octane tune at a normal elevation.

I3 can accept and upload custom(ish) tunes whereas this tuner can only be used to change the parameters within the tuner.

I saw the temp gauge go down to 160 at 7:36 till 7:38

It should be on the video if not I know it should be on the menu page on most canned tuners like this. It should have a AFM or DOD tan to select off.

...if he wants to spend alot more and is confident in going deep into the tuning settings. These basic tuners are somewhat idiot proof for normal people. I wish these basic units offered more detailed adjustments, but getting into specific fuel map and ign timing changes by rpm tweaks are a bit much for most people.

Yes they can. That's if your dealer can prove damage or necessary repairs to your vehicle are the result of your messing with its tuning. The tuner does however save a profile of your original stock tune which is good for two reasons. 1, if you tune and your vehicle starts behaving poorly you can simply return it to the stock tune. 2, if you have to go into the dealer for service you can simply return to the stock tune so it won't raise red flags.

So you cant raise the speed limiter manually?

When you choose the raised option for the speed limiter it just removes the governor entirely. You can't pick a specific speed you want to limit it to.

Custom tuners will allow a person to write a custom tune and you can upload the tune to your vehicle using the actual tuner.

Saablives the tuner allows your to basically let the vehicle know what size tires your running so it can properly calibrate the wheel speed. So if you install larger tires it will not throw the speedo off

You would need to figure out your tire size in standard measurements. 225 is the width of the tire in mm. 50 is 50% of the 225. And 18 is the diameter of the rim. Your tire size is 26.86 inches tall.

No problem. The 50 is the height of the sidewall btw. Don’t think I said that right last time. So width is 225 mm. Side wall height is 112.5 mm. And 18 in wheel size.

Yes, as long as your tank contains the proper fuel for the tune you're changing to. Running 87 tune with 93octane fuel is never a problem, but dont run a 93 tune with 87 octane fuel. You will cause the engine to labor knock and possibly cause damage

Gilbert Munoz I think the guy your talking about had a standard cab short bed. Mine is the ext car short bed. But yes it does make a decent difference especially if you have a cold air intake and more flowing exhaust. I would not buy it again though. I’d spend the extra couple hundo and get a custom tuner. That’s much more hp difference
