Diablo 2 looks amazing in every aspect.

I don't think D3 looks bad but the art style is just not Diablo.

It does kind of look like crap on a technical level compared to D2R and D4 - the models look like earlier World of Warcraft models while the other games look like modern models with modern materials/rigging etc. - of course there are always going to be compromises vs. contemporary titles with ARPGs due to the need to render hordes of enemies and effects at decent framerates. Something has to give.

When I think about Diablo (Diablo meaning Devil) I expect it to be dark, ugly and gritty. D3 was... different, I enjoyed my time with it but hate the look design. Like the other guy said, looked like early WoW.

It's the animation. Everything looks like marshmallow in Diablo3. Even the Barbarian.

They went for a more bright cartoony look so I agree. Imo Diablo 4 is back to its roots for visuals

I'm not a hardcore fan of diablo but I gotta say that honestly diablo 2 still wins the cup

im a big fan of diablo 2.and playing it right now. its amazing how good the game was made... also best pvp in hole diablo series ! and best skills and item progressions.

Lighting and reflections and skill animations are better in Diablo 2

How did they managed to have a better looking fire or fire spells in D2R than D4? lol

I like diablo 3 and all the diablo games haven't played diablo 4 but I like diablo 3 the most because its the game that introduced me to diablo

4 and 2R are my ideal graphical styles

I bought prime evil which includes d2 res and d3 with all expansions for mere 20 euros. Installed both, played D3 for a while, then switched to ressurected, never looked back. :D

As for D4, i will wait at least a year for it to mature...

I like Diablo 4, but it feels like an unfinished game.. Diablo 2 RE looks much more refined and it's a 20+ year old game.. (redoing the textures doesn't turn it into a brand new one)

I mean, Diablo 2 had a constant stream of updates, new content, etc, and on top of that got a remaster. D4 just came out and hasn't had it's season 1 yet. I can kinda get why it feels a bit lacking compared to a game that's had decades on it.

for many people D2 is not the best game ever created, but for sure it is iconic game with epic gameplay so it’s understandable that for some people this one is the best. I played d2, d3 and playing d4 right now (about 200h) and I can say that Diablo 4 is literally the best game ever created, but still very close to the D2. I’m comparing it to how much fun I had playing every version and I enjoyed the most playing D4. When D4 released, at the beginning it was not so good, that’s true, but now, after this 2-3 years, the game is just great and gameplay is just perfect (for me)

Diablo 2 looks more iconic. Easily recognized game element

D2R will always be the best. Just classier in near every way.

If I didn't know the history of these games and were just looking at this video, I'd say Diablo 3 is the first version that they refined in Diablo 4 to finally reach perfection in D2R.

All this aside, Diablo 3 runs 60fps on my laptop at medium-high, D2RE and D4 can't get past 25fps no matter what settings.

Also, this video kinda shows the ugliest, most bland looking locations for D3, there are some pretty amazing looking places in Act V and the rifts. And the buildings in Act II are sometimes photorealistic. Character textures and lighting are utter crap, though, I can't deny that.

3 is some ugly ass Diet Diablo by the way of World of Warcraft. Seeing 2 and 4 side by side really brings into focus how much they dropped the ball. They went from Heavy Metal to Folk.

I think Diablo 4 looks great. It is next to impossible to translate what it looks like in a video. On my PS5 the lighting, the environments, and even the characters and enemies look so good compared to D2 remaster. I don’t know why people are saying this at all. Maybe they haven’t played it and are just going by videos online. Because I can’t lie I was really worried about the graphics before I played it for myself.

Even if you find the Graphics to be better in D4, D2 is still the superior diablo game. It's sad that an almost 24 years old game is still the best diablo game ever created.

I love D4 and the graphics are amazing. I never played the other 2 Diablos but their graphics looks so bad

Is everyone forgetting that Diablo 2 is a static world with literally nothing in the environment moving? It's mostly 2.5d sprites. This is why they're pushing more lighting and reflection effects.

@@somenerd510 Anyone who dares to say that D2 is better because the nostalgia can't be a fan at all. D2 is superior basically because everything in it it's almost perfect. Even if you say D4 is superior in Graphics, D2 is still the best Diablo game. D4 Graphics and combat are good but that's it. D2 (an almost 24 years old game) is sadly the best Diablo game ever created. Sadly because i was hoping D4 to be something else. Its story sucks, it's full of woke agenda BS. It feels like they didn't even finished the damn thing in order to keep making more money from it.

Interesting how it for the gamer who never touched diablo series 🤔

If you have an actually play, then, the camera is really not far away at all, and there’s a very cool way to zoom in really close and you get to walk around like that. The details are incredible. The sound design is absolutely stunning and all of the characters in the world Zan lighting look so good. Everything is interact with a ball in the environment.

@TheFivegoodemperors I actually really appreciate the graphics of Diablo 4. Maybe it's because my high end PC is connected to a 65 inch 4k OLED TV so all the tiny details and high quality assets really pop. Sometimes I just stop for 30 seconds to take in the environment.

@FounderX9 TVs and monitors are basically the same now in terms of image quality, in fact TVs are usually better unless you're typing a word document than the monitor might be slightly better if your TV doesn't have a "PC" mode. I don't care about gaming at 240hz, 120hz to 144hz is perfectly fine. A monitor doesn't give you the scale and presence that a big 65 inch+ TV can give you. Do you actually think gaming on a 27 inch OLED monitor is actually superior to gaming on a 65 inch OLED TV?
