So TLDR - move speed, main basic weapon damage, basic armor + max life rolls and gems. Put a key damage/ resource codex on an amulet or (for rogue / barb) an unused weapon slot. World tier 1. Group play. Do whisper dungeons that get you new renown, new aspects, and are near other whispers. Also dungeon sidequests

me too, d3 was my first diablo but i only played it occasionally with my brother, but now im trying to join the seasonal grind and im having a blast eventho people said that the game is bad due to the patch (tbh idk why is it bad bcs i didnt even understand half of the patch notes😂) so im just playing and relaxing

great vid as always man. totally agree with rogue tb build. My main is a tb rogue and my build basically stayed the same, I went tb/poison around 50 and mix up my paragons a bit, but not a lot. Sorc was super surprising tho given the patch, but maybe ill give it a roll for s1.

Druids. Your first meaningful aspect drop will decide your leveling if it’s tornado or pulv shockwave. Don’t wait for tornado if you’ve already found pulverize. And don’t wait for pulverize if you’ve already found tornado.

I mean that's the same for all classes. Use the first powerful aspect you find and make a buidm around it. Early game it's not like you're paying much attention to affixes etc and you're changing gear constantly. When you find the right aspect you'll be quickly able to change your build

Well you can still go for lightning storm to level up, since there are almost no aspects that benefit it, for single target is average if you can make the boss go against a wall or terrain, it will hit it with all the lightnings

Took me 64 lvls to get the pulverize aspect , all my friends did fly through the game with their attacks and i was lika an old man with hip problems =)

So for potions, i saw this on another guys video, there is a side quest in kyovashad where you cheer the soldiers and the reward is a cache with herb materials. I can't remember correctly but i think it gives enough for 2 potion upgrades

It’s a very fast side quest but not worth that much renown. It can just be a quick one to put you over the finish line when close.

@@edvaedan9161 well i mentioned for fast potion upgrading instead of having to search for materials and on top of that side quests renown and dungeons renown got raise by 10 points so at the moment quests that have side quests associated give a total of 70(previously 50)

a correction (unless they've changed it) .. as a druid you gather offerings without going to get the quest .. i've gathered all the offering to unlock every spirit animal before going to the quest .. I missed the perks but technically you can do it after.

Just a little point I would like to make tho, I’m new to the world of Diablo, this is my 1st time playing, and I can honestly say I’m absolutely loving Diablo 4. I’ve been playing games (casually) since 1985, Sinclair spectrum 48k, (anybody 😂), and I’ve owned almost every console since, up to my series X now. I’m constantly amazed how much progress in the quality of graphics & gameplay I seen over the years. However, I’ve watched a few videos on Diablo 4, and there seems to be a trend on powering up and finishing the game as quickly as possible. Unless I’m missing something, and forgive me if I am, but surly having fun and enjoying the experience is what games are all about! I’m impressed how Rhykker does emphasise to play how you want to play, and I completely agree with him👍🏻. Maybe I’m getting to old, 49yrs😧😂, but I’m still loving games.

I just started my new character last night. Such a fun game to go kill stuff. The actual game play. Is seriously 10/10 Edit: Necromancer Shadow dmg is fun and strong. Barb leveling at Rend is quick and fun as well. If you have to level drood. I enjoyed wearbear, use 1h OH speeds it up some, and also you get the bear charge. Edit: Rykker your background play is smooth man. You are crazy efficient. Great farming bro.

One thing you did not mention but that I read somewhere else and think is a good tip: keep uniques and aspects early in the season because it is possible that some things are going to be buffed for balancing.

Strongholds are 20 percent less exp and characters are just innately squishier. Huge nerf to stronghold leveling. Still probably the best leveling option sadly. Going to be a grind no matter what you do.

Very well said! Honestly if today was release day and the 18th patch was the day 1 patch so we could just go forward with this game not thinking we got nerfed because we got to play OP for a month. Lets go forward and enjoy as best we can

You missed the FREE battle pass. Accomplishing FREE battle pass tasks will give you the resource you need to activate the increased experience gain at level 40 or so. This could even be critical, so make sure you are also completing those mini goals ASAP.

@@Mike-xn4vl It is absolutely FREE. Only the free portion of the pass gives the ability to invest in additional play bonuses. Not only that, but they level locked them as well to make sure paid for skips in the battle pass could not be used to create a shortcut to it.

Just a clarification: You absolutely DO NOT have to "start" any quest to get the offerings. They start dropping automatically once the quest is in your journal. It's not really optimal from a time perspective to do it ASAP. The bonuses you get are not massive individually and it's better to wait until you can at least grab three at once. What I've been doing is just waiting until I have enough to unlock everything (375+25 from the quest) before doing the quest so I can also bond directly after. Anyway, I already have the fastest way to hit 30 mapped out (at least hitting level 30 in less than three hours on a Druid and even tested post-patch), and I still have to map out when to do aspect dungeons based off of the level difference as well as the strongholds for renown and the experience for completion. Also, bounty experience being "buffed" is irrelevant because the experience/hour is still 100% garbage compared to running specific dungeons and the drops/hour are also worse. Only do dungeon bounties, or bounties that are not kill X type of enemies, because you spend way too much time searching for the 100/35 you need. And only do them if they happen to be on the way to a bounty dungeon. Don't actively search them out.

This is probbably one of the few ARPGs ever created where it really doesnt matter at all if you finish leveling fast. Unless you go Hardcore to join the Comunity in their race to first 100. There is no Trade apart from rares. Hearts are not tradable. You cannot boost for gold anymore either. I still commend you for making the game fun and engaging for yourself this way since there is nothing else to make the game fun from the devs in there yet.

@@xennori1409 I get it. My goal is just to get out of the shittfest early levels and be done with renown ASAP. Plus, it's kind of fun to quickly level with the supposedly slowest, or tied for slowest class. Just doing it to see how fast I can do it. Can I level faster on my Sorcerer? Hell yes, but that's a losing proposition with this patch anyway. Was pointless before the nerfs, but doubly now.

@@codycast dont know if this is the right game.. there are barely any good quests to remember apart from maybe the campaign. The quests at least give you a goal. D4 end game has none.. you just hit 100 quit and do it again. Uber bosses are not even worth doing. We will get end game in 9 months apperantly but the same devs that failed to implement any meaningfull end game system up untill will be working on it. I higly doubt its gonna be anything worth returning to. Its gonna fail and they will promise fixes in 2 seasons again.. Season 2 will have like 20 fixes already.. at least People believe that they will be able to fix everything they promised in a month after the season lol.

Do we know if there is a continued problem with the Shepard's Aspect, I equipped it yesterday and My core skill lightening damage did not change. I have 3 wolves and 2 poison creepers I just checked and it says my bonus damage with core skill is 10%. Lightning Storm is 1191-1456 with the aspect on and with it off nothing changes (it should be 1548.3-1892: That is a massive difference). My whole build is around resetting my companion active skills, and getting Spirt to spam my Lightning Storm. Please Help

ugh, not even looking forward to Season after the patch, been playing since day 1 with Diablo but feeling like I need to go part time at my job so I have time to play D4 and be successful. Its become grind grind grind not fun fun fun. I am a Sorc lover and feel deflated about playing her.

Using the aspect boost you get from a two handed weapon or amulet, is it better to use an aspect with high heath of armour or an aspect with high damage whether its crit or core skill etc

You do not need to complete the druid quest to start earning offerings. You can collect them all the way to the cap, then do the stronghold and class quest to unlock all spirits at once.

So doing some math, I learned with the increased renown gain from dungeons, you don't need to do any side quests for Fractured Peaks or Scosglen to get full renown - full map, waypoint, and stronghold with all dungeons completed gets both of those zones full renown - for the other three zones (Khejistan, Dry Steppes, and Hawezar) you do have to run 2-4 side quests per zone on top of the dungeons, waypoints, and strongholds (presuming you have full map + altar completion)

Moxsy showed a clip showing bug fixed HOTA... he struggled to kill an elite spider with vamp

regarding the druid offerings for their level 15 quest. they drop as soon as you're level 15. and you need 400 of them to unlock all aspects (25 per bonus, per spirit animal (except the snake. you need 100 for the snake and it unlocks all 4 at the same time)) unlocking all of them, allows you to apply a 5th passive as well there's not really a reason to go rush and unlock the quest right away - wait until you have enough druid spirit offerings, before you go complete the quest (then you can unlock teh passive bonuses right away and you dont have to go back there)

I'm glad to see so many people adopting the maxim, "don't optimize the run out of your game". Its been a metastasizing problem in gaming with more and more people who (something honestly because they simply don't have time, but they tend to not be the people not enjoying the time they have to play) can't be bothered to learn how to play in a way that they enjoy themselves, so they chase whatever curren't broken build someone has posted, or broken XP or loot farming exploit they can find, then get extremely upset when those things rightly get fixed. Or, its simply a matter of when we act like games are a race, that endgame is a goal as by bypass the content then forget we enjoyed the ride, etc.

I played Rogue all pre season and I'm really stuck between going druid to try something new or just playing rogue again. I played pen shot 90% of the time so I guess I could try other rogue builds? What are you all doing?

Played Rogue in the alpha, both betas, and the full game as my main. Managed to get to level 87, with a barb as an alt. I'll be playing Rogue yet again for the first season to get my bearings on how seasons work in this game, but I'll be trying a different build.

elixers also help with the exp by giving you a 5% increase, its not a whole lot but its more than you started with.

Thanks for the great tips as always Rhykker.. question though why is world tier 1 more efficient for Levelling when we get more exp on tier 2 by 20%? It’s because you kill the mobs faster ? Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

Tier 1 is faster to kill mobs. The main issue is you need to finish campaign by level 50. If your still half way through campaign at level 50 your going to lose heaps of xp as monsters stop following your level at 50. When monsters are 3+ levels below your level u lose 30%+ xp which negates the 20% xp from tier 2.

Druid will be prettt good for leveling this time because we get the pulverize shockwave at chapter 2 in the season journey. Witch is about level 25

Unless they changed it, it IS possible to farm up druidic offerings before you unlock the ability to turn them in. This is something I did by accident pre-season, but I actually managed to have enough offerings farmed up that I was able to immediately unlock all my spirits. I do NOT recommend this because you are leaving a good bit of power on the table, but IF you hit level 15, you can finish up your dungeon / whisper farm before running straight over to unlock the spirits. :)

kind of curious if the creeper/landslide druid coudl be good for leveling especially if you get lucky enough to get the new legendary aspect

I'm building penetreting shot rouge but focusing on basic skill damage and attack speed so curious how it will hold up in end game (kiling lilith with only basic skill would be a think lol😅)

You can split renown farming between people in a party by completing separate dungeons at the same time...not sure if they intended for this to be the case but literally cuts that early renown farm in half.

What level can you start doing whispers?

The thing I like about this game is planning and doing things efficient and effective for end game people don’t realize that

My main was Sorc but post patch I’m going Rogue.

For leveling, I generally salvage rare and sell everything lower. That way I at least get a regular boost of gold coming in.

I generally don't like to make multiple stops in town, so I just do one or the other. Lol

Tip: Legendary Aspects don't stack! You can't use more than one copy of the same Aspect. If you do stack the same Aspect on two gears, one of the gears' Aspect description will be greyed out meaning it's void. I learned this the hard way when I thought my minions were stacking Chill effects twice when actually it was just once.

Should I repeat the campaign quest?

Is there a level that is recommended to switch from Tier 1 to Tier 2?

I'm curious about the level offsets. In the patch notes it shows exp offsets for fighting monsters higher level than you capped at +3 for Tier 2 but they don't list Tier 1 at all. Is it possible we weren't ever getting the xp bonus at Tier 1 anyway?

They made it where you get a flat 1.5% more exp per level higher than yours; example: you get 15% exp more for monsters 10 levels higher than you. Overall nerfing exp.

@@shadefreak5814 Yes but the table under that shows the level offsets, the maximum xp you can earn. So now the tier 4 offset is 10 instead of 100 and Tier 2 is unchanged at +3. But Tier 1 isn't listed, does that mean we were getting the 25% xp bonus for monsters 3 levels higher but they were awarding base xp as monsters our level?

preseason I started out twisting blades but icouldnt get to endgame no matter how patient so I gave up on it played around with other toons . this year I made a bone necro got to t4 now I am working on a rogue but I am thinking that it still maybe to squishy to get to end game I am a SP player so getting thre is much more difficult. yoiu ere mentioning aspects and earlier putting them on weapons or amulets for a twisting blades rogue i would advise putting it on a crossbow becsaue that probably wont be upgrading for a long time becsaue you dont use it or at least i dont

I have mostly full renown on 2 of my eternal chatacters, and none of the rewards carried over, so im confused as to why you say getting renown before the season matters.

Take 3 Skill points but get a nice 15% movement for necro if you go with corpse explosion shadow dot, with the new heart almost always a shadow pool up to give you bonus

Diablo is my all time favourite franchise. Baldurs gate is my 2nd most favourite franchise (my password i still use in majority of places is actually name from baldurs gate, filled with numbers). Dont make me choose in between those two.

I have a ton of elixirs and I never use them, haha. Probably should have been popping them all the time. But, it's another thing to remember to do...Might be WAY better if they were passive bonuses in your inventory like D2's Charms, IMO. Elixirs are already in their own inventory slot (consumables)...Just make it a Charm bag, and let us find and craft permanent 'elixirs' called Charms.

So imo I would change the druid leveling build to pulverize if you decide to use Maxroll for your build because their pulverize build is way stronger for leveling and it will feel way easier to level.

At 12:00 you say strongholds are out of the picture. Have you considered farming strongholds in wt3 with eg. LV 40

Shred build is quickest and best imo for druid. Played alot of druid. Tornado and pulverize requires aspects. 3 possible builds for druid. Love the shred/poison build

What if you don't want to level fast? I've haven't played a game like this since Diablo1 and I'm taking my time. I see no reason to rush anything. Hell, I'm still getting used to the mouse movement since I'm a longtime WASD player. Is this game really about leveling as fast as you can? Is that all there is to it? Did I make a mistake buying this game?

You are not gonna make seasonal tier list for diablo 4 like you did to diablo 3 seasons?
