It's totally worth it. A lot of gamers like to game with our partners, it is a better experience if ya'll are playing sitting right next to each other sharing the screen like the good old days. This feature is only available for the consoles which is so stupid.

Great coverage of the couch co-op! This only makes the next nine weeks seem like an even greater void.

I might try couch co-op with the wife. Maybe this game will convert her. By the power of Lilith?

My wife loves Diablo now since it's one of the rare games we both play. She's more Overwatch, Hitman, Street Fighter type and im more Strategy, RPGs. But MMORPGs is where we meet 🎉

Definitely excited for the couch co-op. Looking to get my partner as enthralled with Diablo as I’ve been since D1 🤣 Great video. I’m glad you covered progression, as that’s usually my biggest issue with co-op games.

Since it is online only, I assume that if you are playing couch co op with someone you would still be able to invite others to your game to fill party? Like 2 couch co op groups playing together.

i didnt play couch co-op but i played on xbox one and my cousin on pc and we partied up and it was smooth and easy af. only prob was blizz voice chat was messed up cross platform i could hear him but he couldnt hear me, so we used discord which was fine.

Would like to play this game with my wife but something is holding me off. Is there an option to disable the blue and yellow 'rings' under your character when playing local couch co-op on console (PS5)? It's breaking the immersion somehow for me.

It's worth it! Halo, Gears of War, split screen co op games in general are great. Dark Siders Genisis... Anyone remember playing Diablo 1 Local Co Op on the PS1? Played the hell out of that with a buddy back in my middle school days. Good times.

If my son & I are in Texas playing and my friend and his daughter in Arkansas, would we all 4 be able to play together?

They should have gave us the option to just let the 2nd player use one of your other characters.

I really like that idea. Or better yet let you have a few guest slots on the profile, or wouldn’t it be cool if it could just randomly generate you a character at that level to play for the session.

@@whatsgood-reviews yeah it worked great on Diablo 1 on playstation. Usually the second player doesn't care if they have their account but want the character to be saved. Plus you get the bonus of them making your other character stronger!

Online is required. According to Primagames.com “Players must have their respective PlayStation or Xbox accounts connected to Blizzard's “Battle.net” in order to play couch co-op in Diablo IV”

To our knowledge it isn’t possible. Each player needs an account to be linked to Blizzard. If that’s the case, we hope that changes.

@@Richard-wq3zf you may need to go look it up, but it should be fine as long as the person who purchased the game is one of the players. If the person who owns a game signs in, other people can usually access their library (on Xbox anyways I’m not sure about PS these days)

Ps4 or ps5 only or both work like this?

Does the other account have to have purchased Diablo4 or can the other person just make another character from my account. Wanting to play this with my sone but not wanting to spend another $70 on something he may or may not play

On console I don't believe so. 2 accounts sign in. On pc there is no couch coop

i wanted local coop on pc,me and my little cousin Loved diablo 3 we played on an xbox360, it would be a dream play diablo 4 on my pc with him

I only played diablo 3 with my girlfriend, so we are looking forward play this after summer

I'm trying to couch co-op with a friend tomorrow and I wanna make sure everything runs smoothly. Does he need his password for battle net or which info is required? We both played the beta. I wanna be prepared in order not to waste any time tomorrow. Thankful for any help here!

Might be wrong, but I think if their Xbox account is already linked to their Blizzard account, they should be able to sign in with their xbox account and get playing. Either way, let them arrive as prepared as possible just in case.

Sadly, it's not supported on the PC and they have justified it with "account technicality issues". In the past with Diablo 3 you needed only one account, and with other local coop games there are no accounts needed at all.

PC will always be the most original way to play Diablo but they’ve done a very good job on console. It plays great!

2, not 4 like the previous game

Me and my brother grew up playing split screen games like halo and gears of war, we decided to get the collectors edition to show some support cause we bout to turn into couch potatoes again for about a week

No it’s not! I have to create a battlenet account for my son and sign in to an Xbox account then a battlenet account link them then press start sign in to both again to play! How is that amazing ? I should be able to press start and he should pick one of my already made characters period

You're thinking all wrong. It's amazing as your son has his own account with his own permanent progression. He doesn't even have to own the game to retain this progression.

diablo was one of the very few games we could play multiplayer locally, now they fKD it up. I hate blizzard and anyone that supports this crap.
