Lowering Max Background FPS to 1 seems to helped go get rid of the lagspikes I had. Thank you for the help.

3060 ti with 32 gb ram on a good gaming system, and we had massive lag spikes constantly, even though we run most games at least 2k with max settings. I hope they seriously optimise before launch.

3060ti is too low for 1440p max settings dude.

Turning off Dynamic shadows improved my stuttering by about 80%.

Ty great video :) Just what I was looking for. Im gonna set up my graphics mostly high, but some shadow settings I think Im gonna turn low since they are kinda useless and lowers ur performance quite abit sometimes.

Peripheral lighting is actually for your RGB mouse, keyboard, headset, etc. For example if you use Razer products with Razer Chroma support.

I'm playing on Linux, just a note if you spend some time alt tabbing. I had to leave the Background FPS high so for some reason it would just lock at low fps when I came back. I am prety sure this is because I am playing Linux + Wayland + Sway and it works different, but overwall. 144 fps no problem and no Lag :)

The full screen bug or windowed full screen always freezing but disabling FSR fix it

Does anyone else think that it might be the servers? I have tried everyone thing on low and still randomly get lag spikes. 64gb ram, i7, 2060RTX, SSD. Any tips?

I also think its the server or the version of the game. I have 10700k and 3080ti.

I have tried with every thing close to Max and most everything turned off was still getting massive lag spikes and rubber banding. It didn't seem to matter what I did. Their servers need some real optimization when larger numbers of people are online.

It is absolutely Blizzard servers.. I say this because I have played on a high end pc, Xbox x, and ps5 and each option has lag spikes and rubber banding..

I mainly have rubber banding issues even tho my connection is fine. I have a website to test it on and its all good in latency and packet loss so I assume its just the server lag not being properly optimised yet

I don’t understand how people are having performance issues. I have a ASUS x570i gaming Wi-Fi 5600x 32gb ddr4 CL14 and a 6950 xt in an itx case with the game maxed out and have had zero issues hitting my monitors 165 refresh rate with no stutter.

It happened to me when I put the graphics high, then I put them in medium and they were visible again. You probably won't be able to play max settings in beta because of beta problems but when the game is full released you will be able to

So basically just set it to High ... if you have FPS issues, turn on Low FX ... and set Max Background FPS to 1. You're welcome.

You forgot to turn off dynamic shadows

Getting some stuttering with my 6750xt. Just installed the latest driver, so we’ll see if it fixes it

1:10 also depends what resolution you are playing.

Why for texture quality I only have option low and medium. I have a 3070 too :S

What Beta version did you download? If you downloaded 42,9 GB, you won’t have the high graphic settings.

4090 gpu 13k cpu all maxed …the moment i enabled the HDR game looks stunning I mean is a blast , on 4k 144hz

and how you can know how much fps you have? it displays it anywear?

It is defaulted to ctrl + r. FPS will show at the bottom left corner

I got upset testing the open cbt. I've got 6g video, 32gram, sdd , asus motherboard bla bla bla. I don't think my setup sucks that bad, but for some reason the graphics of the game on my computer even on ultra, was looking terribly bad! looked almost like the first version of diablo 2 YEARS ago. No idea what hapenned, I guess my video board can't tank it. :/ that was a big turndown for me. "Ultra" used to laggy a bit, not too much, high was fine, so was normal and low. but from highto low the graphic was even worse. note: i play everything else normally, and looks good on my screen. So i don't think its the video board dieing

I have a pretty solid computer that can run most games on the highest settings without issues. I have tried a ton of settings on this game and get terrible spikes. I even got blue screened today. (no game I play has ever done this) The optimization for this is terrible. no excuse for a company with this many resources.

I have stuttering but I also only have 8gb ram so haahahah might be this right?

My computer is better than mid range since just upgraded my motherboard and cpu and it still had massive lag spikes. Yep Bizz's servers were garbage the entire two weekends of the beta.

I mean on low settings (full) it's looks like diablo 2 before remaster 😂

Its pretty horrible looking on low settings. I hope they optimized that game. On low everything look like plasticine.

you said nothing about how individual sliders affect performance!? Just keep it a pre set low, med or high? This was a waste of time

While I liked his video, I completely agree. You can't run with a powerful computer and say "This is how you reduce your lag and make the game look amazing!" Like bro.. you got a PC that can handle that no problem at all. This isn't the guide for the average player. I got a 2080ti and 16GB ram and have Diablo 4 on an m.2 SSD and I still get MAJOR MAJOR lag spikes with every setting on low. The game absolutely unplayable at times. Pretty sure it's the server lag cuz my friend I play with has a better PC with fiber internet and he lags worse than me and disconnects 3 times as much.

it's a beta? tf did you expect? imagine playing an early build of a game and crying it has performance issues? it's not unplayable.

AAA company releasing a game in 2023 for $100 with these shitty graphics is not acceptable. Even at max setting it should look way better.
