Hi matjaz You Can use keybinding without numlock. Just go to options - keybinding. If you have sweeping Wind at number 3 then you just insert caps lock in The right column, next to number 3. In game you just push caps lock, and it activates key number 3. Then in game, you activate caps lock, and it spams key number 3. You Can only use this for one key. You Can not spam 2 buttons. I hope this make sense😀

this does not work for some odd reason on my laptop. im using a dell xps studio 1645 without a num lock I assigned sw to #1 on action bar and 2nd keybind to the right of it I assigned the caps lock I log into the game and hit caps lock and the light comes on the caps lock. sw does not cast at all after initial cast when I hit caps lock. what am I doing wrong?

This video has some of the best tips to play Diablo, I use the num-lock trick on the Necro with devour, without it, the class would be a disaster to play. And force move on mousewheel, really useful in general.

This is incredibly useful for someone who uses Akkarats Champion and tends to forget to reactive it thanks Alot!

Great tutorial. You touched on it but I do want to emphasize that you can do multiple skills on num lock and turn them on and off individually. I do this with serenity and epiphany when I play CDR build.

I think I missed the explanation as to the mouse wheel up and down for force move, but I'm tired. Assuming that's so you don't have to click to move at all, you just scroll so it doesn't break your auto casts like holding down the mouse wheel does. Very informative, thanks much!

I would love to see your build. Only minor downside is if you try to identify your gear or teleport to town it can cause you to stop teleporting or identifying. Also I had a HELL of a time shutting it off.

So for anyone that did not get what he is saying is do not use left click use the middle button up and down fast to get the spam trick to work force move up middle button force move down middle button and roll it up and down with the keybindings set and it spams the move button so it is not being held down but you are still moving only where your mouse is same as you were if you were holding down the left click just it is allowing the auto-cast to keep working in-between the casting to move casts if that makes any sense.

+Dillon Adams thanks man, I was confused back when I first changed it. I thought it meant MWdown/MWup was when you use the mousewheel click for down and release for up. I got confused and decided to just manually spam left click, but now I understand. That'ls gonna be a lot of a lot of mouse wheel scrolling, but at least it's better than wearing our my left click.

@@anpe008 beam will always be on.. However blast will activate when u teleport or move. So I have all my skills on my mouse.. Ms wheel up n down.. 1 hand.. So relaxing

@@simohayha1234 thanks for the reply. Can you tell me again how do you use your mouse? I did not get it. Getting EB only when I move / teleport seems not enough, isn't it? Others steamers have it autocasted even when they stand. Maybe they use 3rd party tools. Would be great to save my fingers and still get the build max output. Thanks in advance

thx, this will make playing this monk build a lot more fun or... increases tbe damage and armor :) because I got tired after 10 rifts pressing the "2" always, it costs only 1 ressource point with 6.60% reduction and innas -70.... but is annoying every 3 sec... and it sux if you have over 50 or 60 taeguks and you lose them :> a really powerfull gem with numpad :D

Hey guys, I have no numlock key on my ASUS RoG G74, but I found a way to autocast skills. So MAYBE it could work for you aswell : - like quin explains in his video, bind your skills to 1 2 3 4 on numpad - press key and hold it + press and hold left shift (ex : 1 + left shift) then release both - repeat this for each skill you need to auto cast I hope it helps !

I come back to this every season since i am spazzing at trying to get this to work correctly. Lord help me!

Thanks for the vid! I have a Logitech G600 (like a naga) with buttons on the side so the numlock thing didn't work for me/my setup. I use autohotkey instead. Just replace the button numbers with your own. I got it working with a tenkeyless (noppoo choc mini). Gotta hold the Fn key to use the numlock and numpad numbers. ie.) I can use numpad 2 by first turning on numlock and then holding down Fn + K.

I already use a force to move key of W for my general gameplay. I noticed you said "if you hold keys this does not work", does that mean i would have to tap-spam W to move around and I cannot hold it? And if so, is this why just turning the mouse wheel is the easiest alternative method of movement due to this bug?

Nice trick. Its strange that blizzard doesnt simply make the skills "autocast". Blizzard has some strange decisions and in the end, players are "forced" to use any tricks available to get what they want, simply because Blizzard is too lazy to put the feature in the game (without the need to use the trick). But oh well, that was allways the case and probably will be allways be the case in the future, Blizzard rarely learns (but miracles happen, rarely).

+ThisNameIsBanned the reason why this works is because blizzard actually does have autocast in their game. just hold down the button you want to autocast , its the same what the numlock "trick" is doing because it basicly sees those keys as held down since numblock was toggled.

Great vid, changed how I play monk! and my wrists thank you. I can get 3 skills to run on Monk {serenity, blind, and epiphany} However when I go to witch doc to try and do this with Horrify, Slam Dance, and fetish Army it doesn't work. SMK knife will knock the cooldown of slam dance and fetish army to less then 5 sec. Any Idea why this isn't working for me?

Did the fix this from breaking? I can hold down buttons just fine and it keeps working.

I cant seem to get num lock to work if i press down on more than 1 key. This method works for a single skill, but if i press num pad 1, 2 and 3, num lock button doesnt work. Any idea how i can work around this? I'm using a standard microsoft keyboard.

I know its a long time ago but if you press 1 and numlock, then after the skill is cyclin press 2 and numlock and so on

I understand that you can switch the casting keys to your liking, but how did you get Exploding Palm and Sweeping Wind to work in the same bar? They're both bound to 3 so shouldn't you only be able to use one of them at a time? I'm missing something...

So when playing the Necromancer Rathma set..i noticed you have to num lock the mages before the bone spikes..otherwise the bone spikes keep spamming and you cant force move...

Thanks for explaining this. You can use an Auto It script to press a key for you though. Impossible to detect, as it simply presses the key.

JgHaverty Not true at all. Auto It hooks the API calls to emulate sending keys. It is very detectable.

Okiesmokie auto it does not run through an API. It's identical to putting a mechanical device to click your keyboard for you. Now, if they have a protocol to determine a specific series of clicks or a time variance (that wouldnt exist with Auto IT), thats another story.

JgHaverty warden scans your memory for software it doesnt like and you can be detected by that, lots of ban waves were given out a long time ago because of players using certain programs and warden just scans for them and flags the account, lesser known or used programs for doing what auto it does usually dont get noticed, but they seem to let autoit get a pass as long as your not doing anything crazy just like the steel series, razer, and logitech macroing software, while it may not get you banned it can is pretty much how blizzard puts it so they say better to not run anything and be safe than sorry. I personally know plenty of people who have gotten away with much worse and much less than simple scripting/macroing and been banned for it so its really up to them.

When I go to options, then key binds, the actions bars do not have a num lock choice. How do you get that? Also, what about cool downs?

How do you get the notepad off your screen once you have it autocasting? While I press the minimize button it stops casting.

In a grift if you die(computer or server lag) does it stop? if yes then what to you do?

So I'm really late on this, but can oyu not use this fro APS builds, since you cant hold down the left mouse button to attack, and spamming it isn't nearly as fast when you are above the APS breakpoint?
