The trick is that Greater Rifts' XP-per-kill is not based on difficulty level. In the rest of the game, each monster has a kill value based on the level of the game, and then the difficulty level adds an xp modifier. If you have +XP items, it adds on to this value. But in GRifts, monster xp is based on GRift level, not Torment level. If you look at your Bonus XP stat while in a greater rift, it's no longer 1600%, it's 0%, so when you wear +xp gear in GRifts, it's a huge bonus compared to normal.

This works very well I'm glad I ran into your video I went from Par:265 to 293 in 6 /12 hours. Working on getting the Hellfire ring. Thank you for the tip.

yoo quin just a question, you said bracers cant have xp, and while that is true, do you think having the custerian wristgards equiped ( gain xp on gold pickup ) is worth it for the extra xp? Or is the amount you get just not enough to compensate for the dmg you give give the group with strongarm br ?

U have more para on a seasonal that youve played 40hrs than i have on nonseason 1000+ hrs....

Dangeruzz Gaming well i mean if he has spent 1000 hours on d3 and hes under 360 paragon, i wonder what the fuck hes been doing all the time hes been logged on... im about 480 with 1000 hours played, and thats including the first 100 or so paragon levels which took FOREVER back when they first added it, which is probably about over half of my playtime just for those first 100 paragons..now u just need 2 days of a seasonal character and ure already past 100

yea same here miy first 120 hrs were the old max 100 paragon levels, now i'm at just over 200hrs with 250 paragon, ( and thats casual playing ) so yea i agree , he musta been talking in general for about 500 of those hrs LOL

Exata1337 I had more than 1000 hours before paragon was even introduce. Hopefully some of those were from that as well.

Hey, great info as usual. You should cover how your party can mule keys to allow more greater rifts. Saves trial keys and time running trials.

How much slower is this if you are SOLOING grifts?

A lot because the best build (the build he is using) its a support and it just makes the clearing easier for the other 3 guys so if u are soloing isn't that usefull or maybe its just useless, I can't test it

Well, it's slower, but 35+ grifts is easily soloable! :)

got a new paragon guide for the newest season? having a hard time finding info about this since latest changes. Only 1-70 guides. Solo leveing guide would be nice too, or is it such a substantial difference that its not even worth trying to solo

Hi Quin, Love your videos, so useful. My seasonal monk has his sunwuko 4 piece, innas is only 3 piece and have 3 piece blackthornes. The dmg is there but I still don feel safe at T6 (Play hardcore). Does 4 piece innas provide a very big boost to survivability? And which new gem is better you think? The life regen or non physical dmg reduction? Working on getting taeguk to 25 for more armor too.

Hey Quin C! Today in twitch I (Irithyl) asked you if you were ever going to do guides on wizards and didn't understand you answer very well, I got that you don't want to but couldn't hear why (my sound card is not very good).

Got a quick question: Say you're not up to farming T6 yet, but wanna use some GR keys to get more EXP. Does it benefit you EXP-wise to set your game difficulty to T6 for GRs, or does it not matter? (I realize the game difficulty level doesn't affect the difficulty of GRs. But I also noticed that the sheet numbers displayed on your EXP bonus do not actually change when inside a GR.)

It doesnt matter if you go into a rift on normal or t6

Is each bonus experience gearpiece its own multiplier or are they added up and then multiplied? i.e. would a leoric crown ruby 82% & a hellfire ring 45% be 227% (1+.82+.45) exp or 263.9% (1*1.82*1.45) exp?

Well snap! Glad to know this isn't something they plan on hotfixing, as I will be taking full advantage of it once I get the appropriate items and actually start getting Trial keys. Running your Bladestorm build atm, as Vengeful Wind is the best weapon the game's seen fit to throw at me thus far. Hehehe.

Hey Quin, what build are you using? Is this a full support build? Or does this do damage as well?

The exp bonus from the gears is additive with itself though, isn´t it? I mean it´s exp*grift stage bonus*4 man bonus*(ruby in helm+cains+...) or is each piece of gear bonus multiplicative with all others?

If you're having spirit troubles try Lashing Tail Kick. Your goal for clearing is to place an explosive palm, then cast one to two LTK/Pillars to pop it. If you need to use several on white mobs then lower the difficulty.

Not to mention this game is heavily based around RNG, meaning you could go weeks without getting gear or just 1 hour, depending on your luck in game! :) My tip, don't worry about it, it works out and if you're having trouble I'd suggest not trying to go high and focus more on being efficient! :) With 4 piece innas, 3 piece sunwoko I was able to clear grift 35, this is without any ancient gear what so ever, just hang in there and it'll work out! :)

can you redo this for a look a head at Season 6? I see a comment below that this is not the case in season 5

im not sure tbh mate, i think the problem is in 2.4.2 currently on the PTR the grifts dont scale xp anymore in terms of mobs, instead it gives you a rough estimate of xp of what you would have earned if you did all the mobs, could be more could be less, but thats the issue right now, best to test out different gear see what your results are, hope this helps.

WTB upgraded version =) right now clearing 35s i'm getting around 15b xp an hour. With no special gear. Looking for a way to get that much higher. Ideas?

Alex Silcock it works (in greater rifts only), the number in your stats is wrong.

Quin, do you know if this works in non-season too? (I have no one to play seasons with, and i find right now that starting over from scratch for little gain.. so im sticking to non season with a friend.)

only the Exp gem, it goes on a lvl 70 weapon, and it reduces it's level to 1, so you can level up much more easily.

I am a little confused buy this 16000+41% would be the exact same thing as 16000x1.41 what is the difference?

Simon Ayres 1600% + 41% = 1641%, 1600% x 1.41 = 2256 %

As I experienced Cains set drops just level 23 so what u can do with that?

+Norbert Volenter in greater rifts bonus exp from torment difficulty is irrelevant. While it does still show it in your stats it is not factored into your exp gain. So if u have 63% increase from gear u are gaining 63% more exp then if you did not have that gear. This can be increase to about 250% with the right gearing.

Can you update your Monk build on Diablofans if it is not up to date

one good thing to get before handing in a that grift is xp well but everyone probably knew that ;)

i leveled up from paragon 20 to 600 in less than a hour just go to an online game go to greater rift on the hardest difficultie hopefully there will usually be hackers there and u will lvl insanely fast

If you want to maximize the experience inside the Rifts. DO NOT pick up the Purple globes. You will get to the Rift Guardian quicker, and therefore all monsters will die.

HihuLars True, you get to kill more mobs, but it takes longer so you get less exp/hours from the guardian and the quest itself. Might be worth it tho

HihuLars thats stupid you would get more per hour the faster you finish the rift. not to mention if you lollygaged around you wouldnt be able to upgrade key, and would have to do trials and waste time. best to get right to it finish the rift as fast as possible, upgrade and goto the next one. will get way more xp for your time

Dan Johnson No it's not stupid. You only get the multiplyer from all your bonus xp% when you are inside the rift. Not that silly 100m xp you get for finishing it. Go watch someone farm experience on a stream, people who are 800+. You will experience that they don't pick them up. Atleast they try not to do it. And they still finish the rift in ~2 minutes, because they are really good at it.

HihuLars lol it is stupid more time wasted doing trials and if you are only getting 100m from completing one you are doing the crappy low ones. do some better ones, do them fast, dont waste time farting around and you will get much more xp for time.

no they changed the exp % say if it was 10% when you hit lv70 i would drop to 1% or 34% to 3.4% it sucks ass

Because it is highest xp/time rate. Run should take about 5 minutes and with xp gear u wouldn't be able to achieve that. Currently i'n doing grifts with leoric + gem, cain set and helfire set and xp gain is incredible., about +170% and its not additive bonus.

I play conssle and ive bewn grinding paragon levels, but how do I use my paragon points that I get when I level up
