I was a warrior with lev 14 teleport and I'd just hack them to pieces , sometimes freezing them with that one spell I forgot the name of. The were indeed super annoying

You can always glitch him at the stairs and spam arrows at him. The Sorcerer can equip a short bow for that.

Ah yes, The Butcher. Definitely teaches you to be weary of opening doors and saving often lol.

If u didnt already know; make him follw u to a gated wall with a door. If u close the door behind you, he will pase back n fourth while u can hit him with a projectile such as a firebalm or bow n arrow.

I loved this game. I liked the voice of the bucher in this game. Diablo 3's bucher sounded... lame.

No way that was 386. Minimum 486 or at least P1.

Yeah, you gotta fire wall and close the door so he incinerates himself. But on a real note, this is like the only RPG where you get progressively worse and not overpowered. I still love it though.

yep, that's why I retro game... gaming now is a pass time, not a challenge except for some FromSoftware games, those have that old school retro game feel where you actually have to learn sequences and timing but with upgraded graphics and sound. Everything else feels like online casino on a repeat

How can someone accept "memorize moves, sequences and timings" as a fun thing? From software's are for 6 years old kids who get easily impressed by sad faces and dumb designes.. even their mechanics and aestethics are "borrowed" from Team Ninja, lol..Ghost of Tsushima is BY FAR better, from characters to cinematics, from fighting mechanics to graphics😂

at the time it was unbelievable!!! The MUSIC was engrossing! Definitely have to overlevel a bit to grab the Butcher!!!

If you like cheese, get a ranged weapon and kite him into the stairs to the next level down and pluck away.

First 4 levels as a sorcerer definitely is most challenging part of diablo1.

I remember my buddy laughing at me because I kept saying "Health!" And spamming the bumper on the controller lol. He wasn't even hitting me.

Caster is also the hardest Character, being that you need to kite monsters, thats why you got wreckt. Try Warrior as a first playthrough

Magic class is the easy one to choose in Diablo 1, in my humble opinion.
