DeWalt Jobsite Fan Kit Tool Review: "BATTERY" of TESTING, Drops
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this DeWalt tool review video we perform exhaustive analysis of the DeWalt DCE511C1. 20-Volt Max Jobsite Fan Kit with 1.5 Ah Battery and Charger. We run this fan through a battery of testing, pun intended, with drop testing from multiple heights, we test this fan against water intrusion to confirm the IP54 rating, we also measure wind speed and CFM. We also cover all the different tripod mounting options with this DeWalt cordless fan, and perform battery life testing.

dewalt fan review
One of the nice features of this dewalt cordless fan dce511b is that this is both a cordless fan and a corded fan. so if your DeWalt battery dies, you can plug in an electrical cord and power your dewalt jobsite fan from AC power. You don't need any special dewalt fan tripod, it has 1/4-20 threads and 5/8" threads on the bottom allowing this dewalt dce511b fan to adapt to any tripod.
We also show you the dewalt fan run time on this dewalt fan with battery, showing you the actual measured dewalt fan battery life for both the 1.5 AH battery and the 6.0 AH Dewalt Flexvolt battery. It might make sense for you to buy the entire kit dce511c1. The dewalt dce511b corded/cordless jobsite fan kit comes with the 1.5 AH battery and a mini DeWalt battery charger.
If you already have DCB series batteries and chargers, you might be just fine buying this DeWalt cordless fan as a tool only for $129. Burt if you're smart like me, you wait until this dewalt 20v fan kit goes on sale for $99, and get all 3 parts of the kit for less than the price of the dewalt dce511b tool only.

Cool tests, especially that water test, was pretty great showering it with garden hose! Think all jobsite fans should be waterproof, not water resistant etc....as you will get the pouring down rain in “dumps of water” here in FL; so, a fan needs to be waterproof, imo. Thanks for testing; as know they can be challenging at times for creating & editing a video. Cheers✌🏼

Very impressive video. However, what I want to know is how good will I cool you when it’s 100° and you have no power assuming you put it about 10 feet in front of you. I install cabinets in brand new homes, which obviously have no power and I’m looking for a fan to help. Keep me cool and I’m wondering if this will do the job.

Yes, also Lowes was selling it for $79 a few weeks ago, and in the store they would give you the battery and charger extra for free. Many guys told me about that, but at my Lowes, it was the same as Home Depot, $79 with no battery and no charger. This is why I always keep those Lowes 10% off coupons in my wallet, so at Home Depot where they honor that Lowe's coupon, I can squeak out several more dollars of savings.

Dewalt trying to one-up Ryobi which has had a similar hybrid fan for years (it appears that the Dewalt version has some improvements). You're talking about that deal at Lowes, it just ended on June 24. Now they are back to charging $79 for the fan just like Home Depot, if on the Lowe's site you put it in your shopping cart, then it reveals the $79 tool only price, no battery.

@@jeffostroff Doing some quick "dry" math. If we take DeWalt's claim of 500 CFM as valid, the estimated wind speed for an 8 in diameter opening should be approximately 16.28 MPH. I would say if you can get a reading of 14 or 15 MPH the fan is doing quite well. I like the fan so much I just went and grabbed a second one today. Besides the obvious job site application, these will be my hurricane fans. You know yourself,it is getting close to that time of year here in Florida.

This fan is not what I expected. From hearing so many people talk about how much air it puts out is misleading. Your meter isn't wrong cause this fan really doesn't put out a true 500 cfm cause if it did it would blow as much as a 14 inch fan. The milwaukee fan puts out way more on high than this dewalt on high. No wonder the milwaukee makes so much noise. It's cause how much air it puts out. The specs on the milwaukee is like 275 cfm and I could believe that
