The worst part of this sander is it will not connect to a one and a 1/4-inch standard vacuum hose without a truckload of adapters. I saw one review where the guy said he spent more money on adapters than the tool itself. DeWalt please see this post and come up with a part that is reasonable and works. I have an old DeWalt electric orbital sander that connects perfect to a one and a quarter inch vacuum. DeWalt engineering can do better than this and a proper adapter should come with the tool for free. I just got this from Amazon $106 and it's probably going back because of the vacuum port debacle. Great video and review by the way !!

I agree Dewalt should have included an attachment with this, I just got a Dewalt shop vac and they didn't even give me any attachment to connect to any other tools which I thought would be a no brainer but I did find an adapter on Amazon and it says it fits 1 1/4" hose and it also has a list at the top to show what other Dewalt tools it fits here's the link amzn.to/3GjOQSC . Thanks for watching hope that adapter helps you I know i'm ordering one ASAP lol. Please subscribe if you haven't already all your support is greatly appreciated.

I used this sander in the little public park across the street from my apt bldg in L.A. More about the dust than the noise. I just bought the vacuum adapter for it on Amazon for 20. But it’s a fun tool. I got both this and the 1/4 sheet version free at HD with battery specials.

@@Toolsish76 Hey, the dust vacuum attachment is the DEWALT DWV9000. It’s just over 21 on the amazon. Now I gotta get a shop vac. Yeah I saw a technical test on this orbital sander and they also said it vibrates a lot. 🙂 But it ranked near the best ones overall. 👍

The built-in vacuum doesn't do much, basically useless. Bought this recently, used it to sand drywall. So much dust. Had to use a separate vacuum near the sanding surface to collect most of the dust. I would guess that the built-in vacuum collected 5% of the dust. The separate vacuum collected 80%. Then 15% airborne dust had to use the separate vacuum running to collect it.
