Devynne Charlton broke the world record in the 60-meter hurdles on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Millrose Games in New York.
Purdue track & field alumna Charlton ran the 60m hurdles in 7.67 seconds, a world-record time by 0.01 seconds. She topped the previous record of 7.68 seconds, which was set by Sweden's Susanna Kallur 16 years earlier almost to the day, on February 10, 2008.
