Devonian brachiopods hill - Part 4

Ойын-сауық

#paleontology #fossilhunting #fossils
At the end of sumer i had planned few days fossil hunting trip in poland. Mission was to visit multiple fossil location from different periods. Like Jurrasic, Devonian, Permian, Cambrian, Carboniferous and Miocene.
This is the third day of the trip, we all did get multiple fossil specimens, lots of brachiopods and corals from the devonian period which is roughly 360-420milion years old. It was a great adventure and i will repeat it next year! Just maybe in czech republic? Who knows!

Wow, that big piece with all those fossils in it was just glorious! But some of those tiny ones were just magic as well.

14:38 - an almost complete Calceola sandalina (missing only the top lid) It's not squashed, that's what they looked like. A beautiful find. 🤩

A little late in viewing your video, but enjoyed the content. We have very similar devonian era fossils here in Sylvania Ohio USA. Look up the history of the Medusa Stone Quarry. Unfortunately access to the quarries today is very limited. The trilobites that were found there were amazing. Happy hunting !
