    Devon has been a legit Canadian SF soldier who has done combat tours overseas. There was a picture of him with his Unit in full combat gear and some of his former brothers in arms have commented on the fact that he was indeed what he said. Which is probably why he is able to do what he does at his age and in this sport. The man has nerves of steel. He is not scared of anyone at all. Not even defeat or injury.

    Devon’s getting mentally prepared to go 100% maximum effort regardless of bodily injuries. Reminds me a bit when Eddie Hall deadlifted 500Kg. He said he went to a therapist (maybe an hypnotherapist) to put his mind in a place where it was basically life or death to lift the weigh. He didn’t describe it but my guess would be like if someone he loved was under a car being crushed. That allowed him to lift that weight. Devon is trying something similar I think with the Ketamine trips. Hope he wins. Would be great for the sport and a fabulous story/movie. Could really put Armwrestling on the map. Devon could be the Muhammad Ali of Armwrestling if he pulls this off.

    Devon is what a true champion should be In every way. I see it as a 60-40 match with Levon having advantage. But if Devon gets a stop then it’s over and Devon will win.

    This is great, But Levan also said the same thing in a different way, that he is ready for everything, if Devon wins he wins he will make no excuses, this he said in his latest podcast with Engin.

  • @user-pb7pr3di8m

    @user-pb7pr3di8m

    You say you will make no excuses. Somehow you learn such things if you read books or listen to others. but THEN (after some time) you will see more and more excuses until you say "I lost because I got injured". Its hypocritic. Its superficial talk. Of course it comes good if you are humble and whatever or learn from your losses, but you will ALWAYS see the excuses. Always.

  • @user-pb7pr3di8m
    @user-pb7pr3di8mАй бұрын

    OR.... OR.... saying he doesnt want to have it any other way (without injury) is just too good and comfortable an excuse in case he loses. He doesnt need to be some kind of brave hero or whatever, he just needs to know that it wouldnt look so good if he loses without any kind of "injury". Same like last time. "Either go broke or go home". Imagine he loses without injury. Of course he loves to have any kind of injury because he can AGAIN assert that "he got injured and if he hadn't got injured, he would have won."... So if you have an injury: 1. You increase your chances of winning (commitment, but also commitment if unwarranted can lead to injury) 2. You know for yourself (ego or others) that you gave it all. 3. You have a comfortable and handy excuse in case you loses Also just because Devon commits even in the face of injury doesnt mean that Levan doesnt do the same, he just dont say it like that. Devon loves to talk.

    @@trentreimer130 Whom you talk to? Me? If so, you dont understand reality and you seemingly dont even understand what you talk about. The question here is NOT if soldiers or past soldiers are generally brave to go to war or go in life threateting situations. So please spare me with your redherring. Devon said the usual things, the only difference is that this host seemingly tried to attribute some "deep value" or "extended value" to it, even though Devons talk has nothing to do with his past job in the SF.

    After Levan beat him, he dropped weight and proceeded to defeat every match right and all but one left. He looked great. Now, he's gotten big again, and getting puffy and histamine-ish with that runny nose and swollen face, and he's taken a break competing, relative to when he had that streak after Levan ... he's going to lose again. You can't perform at your best when your body is fighting tissue inflammations.

    @thedrew24 I don't think we will ever see the 200 kg Levan again. 40% bodyfat shortens your life like smoking 40 a day. Dude was on oxygen after walking to the toilet. I don't know enough about how they train, but I do know that strength is way up there as number 1. I guess a rethink in how you train could be one way to go. Devon had 12 super matches in 2023. And he probably had 1000-1500 hours of tabletime. How many super matches did Levan have in 2022? Could be interesting to compare numbers. Eastern Europe vs North America.

    Dude Levan is on everything. The amount steroids and growth hormone is absurd. Let's put it this way when Larry Wheels heard about the stack that Levan was on it blew his mind. If you have none other than Larry Wheels shocked that means Levan is on copious amounts of everything. Devon from a young man to an old man has always competed around 220-260. The exception being the few times he's showed up fat and 280-285 like his return match against Michael Todd. Levan started armwrestling at 175-180 pounds. He's competed at over 400 pounds now. If Levan wins he should just retire, lose over 100 pounds so that he might live to Devon's age. At this point if Levan stays on his stack he's dead by age 40.
