I love when Devin has Anneke at the shows. The songs that feature her are just so much more with her presence available. Not that Devin can't knock this song out of the park solo. Which we've all seen on EMG tv.

For all the bad shit on this planet, music is the pure innocence whereby it induces raw, primordial feeling. Devin strikes this chord better than anyone else (subjectively) with his live performance being unprecedented, in my opinion.

I just saw DTP with BTBAM. It was my third time seeing DTP and I gotta say, he is a positive dude. Really makes you laugh and smile. He said that they wanted to show that heavy metal can come from a place of love. You'd never hear that at any other metal show! The other time I saw them with BTBAM he told us to hug the person next to us. He is truly inspirational.

Cus highly trained musicians know what they're doing. Listen to any Dream Theater studio track at random, doesn't matter which, they're all masterpieces & individual puzzles imploding & exploding with too many different emotions, soundscapes, chaotic, gorgeous, angelic, bad fucking ass puzzle pieces. Then watch them do it live.... As far as I'm concerned there's only 2 letters needed for eternity.... DT & DT ... Dream Theater Devin Townsend Anything less is uncivilized..

@@Borlos. Honestly, I miss the Mike Portnoy era of Dream Theater, it just hasn't been the same since. I want to love their newer stuff but it's hard. Maybe that's the drummer in me talking. Devin is a god though. Can't praise his music enough. Saw him live with Meshuggah and Animals as Leaders - was amazing.

Never listened to metal before, never heard of him until a couple of hours ago watching some vocal coach reacting to his voice and what a voice, what a track! This is not just thrashing of guitars, I'm a bit stunned at how easy this is to listen to. Phenomenal!

Welcome :-). Devin's music is a bit all over the place (in a good way!) so there's a tonne of variety. Metal is a very diverse genre generally. A lot of symphonic metal (bands like Nightwish and Epica) are quite accessible for people with non-metal tastes, ditto with progressive metal (e.g. Dream Theater and Haken - Haken's music, like Devin's, is extremely broad). You do often get sucked down a rabbit hole and end up listening to the heavier stuff as well - once you figure out bands like Meshuggah they become strangely hypnotic.

The way the entire audience sings along makes my heart so happy.

I saw Devin for the first time on the Dreamsonic tour with Dream Theater and I've been hooked ever since. This is my favorite song of his so far. The first time I heard live in concert made me emotional. I think I even shed some tears listening to him sing this song....

This song makes me feel so many different emotions. I love it! Devin is a genius! Everytime I hear this song I just think of my wife and newborn daughter and how much love I have for them, the amount of joy they give me is indescribable.

Fucking EPIC!! My wife who hates heavy music plays this song on loop when she's drinking and when I go in there she's got tears in her eyes. I know it's tears from losing our son after years of agony and I say nothing. Devin said it all. Thank you!!

I seriously can't find words to describe the feelings im getting when watching this performance. Probably because words aren't enough for such beautiful music! Anneke van giersbergen's voice is like the voice of an angel.

Best song ever written, and best video ever made. For the best reasons.

This song is like a tattoo, you're told to wait a year to make sure that you definitely want it, other songs can be my absolute favorite for a week or maybe a month but at some point I get bored of them, not Kingdom though, at any time of day or night, in any mood, with anyone or without anyone I always fall in love with this song whenever I hear it and I'm on a mission to introduce your work to as many people as possible.

I was at this gig, im in the credit scenes too. one of the best gigs of my life.

It fills me with joy, makes me want to cry and makes me nod my head at the same time. I honestly can't think of any other song that does that

Still gives me the goosebumps no matter how many times I listen to it. I even have moments where I actually get a little teary-eyed listening to it because it’s so beautiful. Sadly missed an opportunity to see Devin just a few weeks ago but thankfully I don’t think he’ll be stopping anytime soon. This guy is amazing.

Yeah, I unfortunately didn't...yet fortunately did.. discover Devin Townsend until 2017 (where was I??!!), so too late to see tours like this one... but hey, I can still catch Empath hopefully.

I've listened to loads of rock and metal for 30 years and cannot understand how I just discovered this guy a week ago. So pissed, yet also ecstatic to have found him. Holy shit. Retinal and Royal Albert DVD's on order plus about 10 albums. I can live without food. Also, he's in Pomona in 6 weeks so I get to see him live, and see Kingdom live. Unbelievable. So lucky. I have downloaded huge amount of stuff from here so happy to spend my money to support Devy. Please all do likewise. he's earned it I reckon?!

Saw this at the Royal Albert Hall proceeded by Supercrush!. The greatest concert 10 minutes of my life and I must have attended over 30 in my life of some of the best bands of all time. Devin is God.

even in 2017 is devins music in many ways the `hardest` most powerful, /wind in the hair/ music for me... this instant, emotional smile comes up every time since the first SyL song i heard..

Wish I could go back in time... shoot to first see Devin and Annika perform together, wholly shyte! Their voices match like one in a billion! So many of us are actually grateful that this music was made. Oh well, we get older and it is not almost a decade later and Devin is 50!

He has so fking good/powerfull guitar sound and voice that i'm literally speechless.. That voice, his ability to use it, it really is one instrument more to them.. i have no words to describe how much i like everything he does and how much i appreciate him/his music. Dev, you're the best.

I agree... it's the reason on his EMG solo set for this song he says annekes vocal part is the best solo in the business. It is a major instrument. Not just this song but his entire thing he has going on.

This song is a masterpiece, it's hard to explain it but it feels like he is opening up huge emotional gates in my head when the music is swaying like it is. My hats (yes, all of them) are off to this guy and his fellow band mates.

Great editing, the way they isolate certain people in various frames and cut back and forth at big moments makes it feel like there are 100 people on a gigantic stage....amazing performance
