It's not often one can say that over a decade later, this artist not only looks way younger, healthier, happier and has far surpassed his own vocal talent, technical guitar playing , live performances & composition/song writing in general. I will never not love this man's talent and personality.

@@xobrasxx I do to in a way. I love the raw emotion of his earlier stuff. He's way more controlled now. You can see in this his face is turning red because he's really pushing a scream instead of letting the vocal distortion do all the work. But he just looks so miserable lol.

One of the best Devin songs ever. Fuck, one of the best song ever in all of rock/ metal. You can just hear Devin giving it his all, everything he has. The level of emotion, intensity and atmosphere is just insane.

i cannot figure for the life of me how anybody has unliked this video. It's sonic. It's loud. It's beautiful. There's anger and there's sadness. He does his death scream. He sings with his pure clean voice. He sings everywheree in between. He's got the skullet. It's got a bit of the 70's heavy feel to it. It's good. That's all I can say about this song.

Devin has a sense of epicness to his music that’s hard to match.

He looks older here than he does now. Anyway, amazing performance. I am fucking addicted to this song.

Holly hell, 16 years later it feels like I’m listening to a Deftones song in which Chino actually sings and screams to perfection. The track is eerie. One of the best of the Best/ most intense Prog Metal songs ever written. Devin is a Master Craftsman.

This was the first song I had ever heard by him. The second was the SYL song Almost Again. The third was Planet Smasher. I think I was hooked from then on. Such diversity in sound. Such power during the heavy moments, such beauty during the quiet parts. I can't blame others like myself who may find it hard to listen to other artists after getting DEVified. Here's to another 20 years of awesome music, friends!

As much as i love the live performance, i simply cant stop coming back to this version. You really can hear Devin screaming his heart out in this one, so fucking glorious.

This is the definition of music. Contains such emotions and the way Dev express ém = mindblowing. I've never seen a musician so powerful as in 8:02-8:34

It doesn't need extra production or orchestras, its best in all its gnarled fury like this. Love the analysis about it having an almost too overwhelming amount of emotional depth... I've always felt this about this song too. I guess it really reflects the bipolar state of his mind back then. Basically your life has the intensity and emotionality of an acid trip for any length of time during manic episodes. Imagine what went around in his mind during the writing of this song. I can honestly only grab the very suraface I think. God I idolize this guy lol.

This song displays Power and Patience.

When he says "HURT ME I CAN TAKE IT" I basically just calm down and get into a fairly good mood even if I was depressed or pissed off, it's just, epic moment in life.

One of the slowest yet most intense songs of alltime. Amazing!

One of the coolest prog-metal- heavy-spacey songs ever written. Look at the commentary. Like a mystical experience for many. Devin is such a master of emotion, humor, and metal power. Rock on!

Devin took decisions that made him healthier and happier over all. The past gave him lessons, he overcame everything and now he is rocking the world! A great guy and a rare talent!

I was sleeping when I first heard this song. It woke me up and filled me with great emotion. Actually, I listened to a bunch of DTP songs while asleep, so now I'm obsessed with Devin's music.
