What's up Tony.. great review thanks.. I would appreciate your review about DV1 base gun, I need a good gun to spray silvers, because I did not get good results with devilbiss GPI a few days ago

I've painted for a living for 42 years and I can say this car looks amazing

You’re a high skill guy, I’m a Devilbiss guy and have used pro-lites and Teknas for years, faster sprayers never like them. I’m definitely interested in trying out the Sagola 4600

I'm planning to order the DV1 clear gun tomorrow, brand new, digital version, uncupped, and with all three nozzles, 1.2 1.3 + 1.4 for $550 on ebay. Only do side work now in my garage and in an open floor shop so I chose the DV1 for its ability to spray it lower pressure. TC Annapolis MD

New to the DV1 gun, this gun doesn't have the screw at the bottom to open and close the air line ?

Great video as usual my man, I use to be devilbiss through and through but after trying a ws400 I loved it but struggled to lay anything other than flat finishes so I got myself a 5500 rp and that changed my thoughts on sata so next on my list is a 5500 hvlp ✌🏻

I really love my dv1 base gun but couldn't really get behind the clear gun for some reason. Too slow and I felt it goes on a bit dry even with it wide open. I absolutely noticed a much heavier material consumption than even my ws400. I'd love to get a 4600 extreme now haha. I spray a lot of 2k gloss metallics/Pearl's and don't know if I should get the titania or clear air cap. Thanks for the video man!

Hi Ryan and thanks for watching , I’d check through the info sheet if I was you on the fins setups and what there best used for mate tbh and then make your decision from there as there sheet with setups I’ve found very accurate for what guns best for what tbh

Sagola 4600 is an amazing clear gun!

I was having issues setting my DV1 up so appreciate this video! I use the 1.4 and it’s a rocket. If you think it’s too slow switch to the 1.4! I’m a diehard iwata user and this is the first devilbiss I’m in love with.

What pressure do you spray at w the DV1? I'm looking for a clear coat gun I can use at 20 psi Max since I'm just doing side work in my garage now and an open floor shop.

what HS 2k clearcoat would you recommend? Im in the UK, and have mainly been using Upol, mainly just for its cheap price really. But sprayed my motorcycle frame, and it scratched VERY EASILY.. So want some decent, scratch resistance clearcoat, that isnt going to break the bank. What brands would you recommend please? What do you use? Thanks

Hi firstly mate if you want something really durable for a frame then I’d go down the powder coating route tbh it’s a lot more thought and durable , clear wise personal ya budget clear would be the multi mix clear from repair and refinish that can be ordered through our sponsors pmpsupplies or there’s the higher end clears we use Mipa cx4 or roberlo kronox 610 , however tbh I’ve never really seen a good anti scratch clear

i do have my favorites yes but i keep my personal choices separate from the unbiased reviews on the channel

Funny you mention these guns get sold on social media for cheap all the time. The guy I've been talking to on Facebook is selling one after onyl having it for 2 months. He says his reason for selling is because it's a bit on the heavy side for his liking. That being said, I was look to buying a gun for basecoats. Would you use this DV1 "Clearcoat" for basecoats? It's either this used DV1 Clear or buying a brand new Iwata LPH400.

I’d be going for the iwata ls400 over this for base or the sagola dvr Aqua which on my opinion is the best base gun out there

Dv1 but in order to review a gun we need to put it side by side in comparison to the other best gun or huns out there so hence the large comparison to my favourite clear gun the 4600 extreme

@@TonysRefinishingTV cool.. You still using it.. Respraying a 911 1984 at mo clear over base, was gonna use max Meyer 0300,you recommend any that sits well with a good working time, most clearcoats we have here are for fast jobs...quality is always compromised! In Ireland.. Up Galway 😂🤘

we use the premium hs used on this for average daily jobs and the roberlo 610 uhs for prestige and respray work both are exceptional for the price

Completely different find it goes on aircap and fluid tip to make a gun work not just the aircap

Thanks buddy and it’s a small car fast to paint so daring in the middle of the bonnet or boot wouldn’t be an issue as it was still more than wet enough when I got back round to it

From my screen, it looks like a glass finish. I'm sure it's the man behind the gun. I watched a lot of videos on the DV1 clear gun. More professionals love it than hate it.. Gun performs better with the right clear coats. That's true with most gun.

Yes we do mate but we usually mostly use that on higher end work or newer cars plus the hs is a little easier to cure during to colder months here in the uk like today it’s 1c in the workshop

what the difference between digital and non digital dv1 clear coat

I have basically tried every gun out there except the Sagola 4600....I paint RVs and I would like to try the Sagola but I haven't seen a tip bigger than 1.3....I use the sata 5500 x 1.4 I cap and it pours it on but I want to try the Sagola. Please help me out here..

The 1.3xl would be larger than the 1.3 if that makes sense mate it should be more than enough for any job really
