Kinda baffled by the complete absence of Kalina Ann for all Lady characters. Also for Royal Guard, I would expect his ultimate to be Dreadnaught instead of DT.

@@tresorlekemo4624 No, we meant it in a gameplay-wise manner. Dante and Vergil in terms of story are equally powerful, but when you play as him either in this game or in the mainline games, he is just ridiculously op if you know how to play him.

Almost everything good except for the upgrade system with character changing. Just changing weapon would be a blessing. And making separate character for all of those wepons is kinda strange

All I want to say: Making a separate character for a certain weapon or style is a really strange decision. The first original beta didn't do that, and it had a lot of benefits not present in this game.

They really took the worst franchise to base a character changing gacha on. DMC has like only 6 possible characters that you can play as, it doesn't make sense

The fact that they have the old voices is gold 🗿🍷

Can't wait to play it again already and see if the funniest team ever is still working. EJ Vergil, DB Nero and FoS Dante had INSANE air mobility in the last beta, like they could actually cross entire maps by doing air combo resets. I loved getting into secret/unreachable areas, skipping entire sections to mess with stuff, or just admiring the first building's GORGEOUS architecture and design since the camera blurs far away things, I always kept air comboing into the ceiling to look at those statues you can't see in normal gameplay. Besides the cheese and exploration, it was really fun overall. Nero was the most fun character with the Exceed and Bringer combos, I found an infinite Vergil combo spamming Aerial Rave B and enemy step to burn hitshields instantly, and Dante was there for MP and breaking redshields. Even if it lacked any synergy buffs and sometimes needed me to level them up more than usual it was the embodiment of fun. Boy, as dumbed down as the combat is I, the DMC4 tryhard, found it really fun for the bs you can do. Can't way to try the new V they'll be releasing!

Did they revise it- in the last version I played, You could tap attack after Judgement Cut END activated to add extra damage to it (signified by the slash lines glowing briefly individual as you tapped)

We need more people like you this is what i needed thank you soo much. I didnt know that skills depend on what character you are using,chances are i ll uninstall it hate pay to play..

So it went from Devil may cry on mobile to DMC Honkai impact. That sucks that we wont be able to do the cool combos shown back in the day with just one character but ill still give the game a try thats just really a huge bummer tho that ill need basically 3 Dante on one team to do a normal combo I could do in console games.

But in that game its okay because its her getting older so she fights differently in this its just Dante but they take a weapon and give it to another Dante just so they can try and charge you for it.

I just realized that most of Dante's gauntlet movesets in this game are *mostly* based on Balrog now instead of Beowulf.

There was an earlier version of the game where Dante had all his weapons, including the guns, and it literally looked like normal dmc gameplay but on mobile....than they changed it to whatever this is lmao

@@yugotokusatsu289 it literally did. And the gameplay is still designed around the old gameplay. Look at the Griffin fight how everyone was meant to gun him down. Now no one can touch him for 3-5 minutes.

What do you have your settings on cause the skills effects is hard asl 💯💯💯

Dante uses his ebony and ivory in the cutscenes but he doesn't have a character variation where we get gunslinger 🙄

Its weird when i see all the characters i can unlock, it doesn't Show me devil Bringer Nero or trish with her ice guns. Will this characters come later in the game.

I hope they make a force edge and Yamato Vergil or a Alastor Dante those two types of combat styles was always my favorite to play of the two

I still feel it’s not DMC if you’re levelling up a sword. Feels like they took a lot from Honkai rather than the game they’re based on. Plus monetisation on related content is crazy.

This version of Vergil is lore accurate from DMC 3 boss that endless cut got me piss off from first encounter of him at top of the tower nostalgia at it's finest

now you need 2 different vergil when want to do combat change combo, kinda sucks but I hope it's worth playing

Ufff, well the changes they made to the gameplay sure are... interesting. Feel a bit sad for the combat potential that was lost. Guess we´re not getting the rebellion+agni&rudra combos shown back in the day. Anyway, thank you for making this video. It was very informative and helpful.

You do realize what you are asking form a Mobile game is a bit unresonable. The ammount of Icons you would need to have on screen for a game to have the level of complecity of the consol games would be insane. You could run a party of 3 Dantes and pretent it's style/weapon switching.

@@yugotokusatsu289 I disagree. Please take a minute to check footage of this game when it was in 1.0 from 2-3 years ago. This was the gameplay before the 2.0 version released in the west. It has the same number of icons as 2.0 but gameplay complexity is pretty close to console level. I´ve followed the development of this game regularly and would not be asking for a mobile DMC combat system, if I didn´t know it existed and totally worked when the game came out on the Asian market. A single character in the previous version had more move variety than three characters put together have in the current one. I don´t consider character switching as an adequate substitute for the previous system. (Sorry, if you get this as spam or something. For whatever reason my replies seem to get blocked).

Iirc the beta had very in depth control that was similar to the Console and PC version So this type of control is much more simple

Is it viable to just make teams of the same character in different types? So it's like weapon changing from the mainline games?

I tried a team with 3 different Vergil characters and it was fine. Some characters work well with their own variants, actually. But there will be better teams to build if you wanted to optimize.

It's the Chinese version that has Dante with a gun in the global version it hasn't come yet

Installed the game having close to no expectations.. ended up doing everything possible for the first 2 days :D What can I say? It's easy to control, looks great, the combos with the teams are awesome, team composition actually makes a difference, doesn't heat up my phone (Samsung s22) and has incredibly short loading screens. And the fact that they even added functional coop missions just adds to everything. I never thought I will ever touch an action game on mobile (due to screen smashing considerations).. I was wrong.

To be honest here I think the number one character I would love to see in this game and I understand this game isn't for everybody and it has its problems but the thing I was going to say was this is the father of the two overpowered sons of Sparta Sparta himself

wait why does it control that way, this seems hella lame. Does Dante really no longer have any Rebellion/Agni&Rudra JC shenanigans, but JUST up, down, and a basic string in both ground and air? With Stinger behind a cooldown?

The cool part about DMC to me is chaining various individual skills together YOUR way, and most characters having nothing but a preset string and a spike in the air sounds like none of that will be possible

Yeah there are cooldowns for Style Skills. Also certain conditions for tagging in other characters with special moves (QTE). Demon Hunter Dante is more of a support character, especially for Bleed builds. Each character has a unique kit with different roles to fill. Some are more complex than others, but are still simplified versions from the mainline dmc games. When you build a full team that combos well together it feels more like you have 1 big moveset to style with imo.

it's still limited though. and getting characters is pretty hard it turns out. official emulator is on their site and available now for download though. Game launches tomorrow.

Would love to see them make the Sparda skins of Dante and Vergil and some amazing trish versions like one with sparda like dmc4 version of her.

The QTE system (and some other mechanics) were lifted off Honkai Impact, which is very ironic considering DMC AND Bayonetta were inspirations for the latter's combat system.

This game could have been something special if it wasn't so expensive.

So just 4 characters. No Lucy, V not even Trish. And they could add some villians like Nelo Angelo or someone like Kirie's brother. I hope they add them later because locked skin with one version of character split into 5 characters is just lame and boring.

Seems like it, same actions (basic atk, weapon skill, jump, evasion, ulti and a support skill), same team formed by 3 characters who can also use qte system that's also the same as hi3 qte, the standby charcters ui in combat is the same as hi3, same for status effect like ignite
