Claudio is Italian. Lili is from Monaco. Lars is ha;f-Swedish, half-Japanse; he's Kazuya's half-brother and Jin's uncle. Jun is Jin's mom. If you're wondering why he's her punching bag, she's just punishing him for starting World War III.

Law is Bruce Lee and the original Bruce Lee type. He was the template for Maxi from SoulCalibur.

Fun fact: Tekken 7 was known to have guest characters, some in which you'd expect like Akuma from Street Fighter and Geese Howard from Fatal Fury/King of Fighters, and some bizarre ones like Noctis from FFXV and Negan from The Walking Dead. Meanwhile, at some point, Lars was a guest character in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, though the designs from that game and Tekken 8 are very different

Hwoarang is from South Korea. his fighting style is from Korea too, Tae Kwon Do. the fighting style of dominate on kicking. Claudio is from Italy

Lars is Kazuyas brother so that makes him Jin's uncle. The electricity is a family thing. Jins own is red and kazuya's is blue same as lars

Tekken is also very famous for its music. Probably has the best fighting game music. Listen to Vitors theme in Tekken 8, sanctum ost, electric fountain Karma, or into the stratosphere are just some of the examples

If you want to know about the lore of Tekken, there is a great video covering the first 7 games of Tekken called the Insane lore of Tekken on KZread that covers most of the plot points going into Tekken 8. The video came out a year ago before Tekken 8 so you won't be spoiled about 8's story. The lore for Tekken is really really insane, it is basically one giant family feud that eventually devolves into WW3.

I absolutely love that when marshall law comes up instead of the obvious parallels between him and Bruce Lee this guy says Man he's reminding me of Michelangelo from TMNT. My heart sank a little

Please try this game just for the story alone, it is on a whole other level of crazy its literally an anime + there's also recaps and stuff so you know what happened in the other games its a great game to start your tekken journey at

Tekken is considered by most the 2nd best fighting game series behind Street Fighter. The best 3D fighting game since you can sidestep and hit from the side.

As far as other fighting games, Dragon Ball has a new addition to the Tenkaichi series dropping in October. It’s called Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

if there was ever a time to check out Tekken 8 is now, the game is fresh, 1 DLC character has been released so far and a second one is coming up REALLY soon in the summer, it might be tricky at the beginning but i promise you once you find your rhythm and find a chartacter(s) that you like you'll be HOOKED, i myself main Lili, she's been my main character since Tekken 5, but there are many interesting ones i have yet to check out, hoping you do play it and enjoy it.

Raven, Hwoarang and Jin are my mains in Tekken... I mainly use Raven because he resemble Naruto characters in his unorthodox fighting style approach and because he's very unique and authentic and underrated, and barely anyone even use him, he's so rare... 🤷🏻‍♂️☯️✌️

you can't really compare fighting games, but if we could rank them, mostly in the 3d fighter category (where the characters can strafe left/right as well), the big names were tekken, dead or alive, and virtua fighter sadly, we didn't hear any news from virtua fighter in a long time, and dead or alive is now an expensive fanservice fighting game (the gameplay of those two are kinda similar when I last played)

If you have to pick a fighting game right now? It’s tekken. Genuinely it’s tekken. As for my main it’s king Eddy and Lili

Bro I used to watch all of your dmc playthroughs when you had less than a 1000 subs. Now your reacting to my faveorite gane of all time. Please play the demo. Its free and has the 1st chapter of the story. Probably one of the best story game opening of all time amongst ff16 and god of war 3. You should 100% play it. Cant wait for part 2 👍👍👍

Some cool facts for ya. Marshal Law is a Bruce Lee rip off. Think just about every fighting game had one that came out in the early 90s-2000s. He was the poster child for martial arts films of the time. But the nunchuks, his side kick, his look, even his super is straight out of Bruce Lee films. Maxi was kind of the same way but a combination of Bruce Lee and Elvis Presly. Really any character that hits someone and goes "Wata!" or "Wooooooo", that's who they got that from. Most of Tekken is based around the Mishima family. In this game alone Kazuya, Jun, Jin, Reina, Asuka, and Laz are all related by blood. Lee got adopted, and Panda and Kuma were raised by Heihachi Mishima (Kazuya's father and "dead" at the time of Tekken 8). Also, Tekken lore is hilariously weird. Case in point Heihachi decided to raise 2 bears as bodyguards and teach them martial arts.

Missing Victor, Zafina, Lee, Kuma, Panda, Yoshimitsu, and Devil Jin.
