Maeros - that’s pretty fair...the funny thing is you can get millions of orbs in a matter of minutes so you don’t really have to spend that much time farming to be honest especially if you toss the hat around with gunslinger during every enemy encounter you spend playing the game, but i hear ya to each his own and it’s always better to have the options anyway!

For some reason, if I got hit even twice , my style points would go down considerably making me get an A rank for some of the missions. I had to practice many of the stages to make sure I got enough style points and didnt get hit ( and I just didn't want to use faust hat cheese )

Mission 18 was always a big problem for me on DMD mode, up to 3 bosses at once by the end. Then I found out I could just run to the seal that forms when the boss fight starts turn the camera and hold down the fire button until everything dies. As it turns out... What I lacked...was cheese.

@Jeffrey Canzani easiest time to do it is when hes doing his summon swords ehile ealking towards you, you need to be devil trigger though so your own swords block his. He wont always do it long enough though so keep that in mind

You can also use DT's super armor properties while charging up Red Hot Night. Also you really should've talked about Hat Trick, which is press Gun or Style as Dante catches the hat after using Set Hat or Mad Hatter to yank any hatted enemies to Dante along with a huge amount of Red Orbs from them! Along with being an amazing crowd control move, it's the main method of getting Rorbs for Dr.Faust's moves!

To avoid being vulnerable to attacks while performing the red hot night move, charge the devil Dante sword by holding the triangle button for a few seconds. You will automatically have summoned swords behind you and while in gunslinger mode, the summoned swords will attack anything that comes within 3 paces of Dante. This gives you enough time to perform the Red hot night move.

If you have LDK mode, you can actually go to mission 12 yamato, press dt, and red hot night, and you get 400K orbs per checkpoint, way better than mission 13 by miles. If you don't have it then just keep doing mission 13 because you need the SE edition, and a PS5.

They're are other ways to protect yourself while charging the meteor attack, you can use the summon swords with the devil sword dante before charging the move and use it while it circles enemies, or you can use 2 bars of dt to charge the sword and while you're in gunslinger mode so the summon swords will automatically attack enemies.

I wish Dr. Faust will turn into a base weapon like Coyote-a and Ebony&Ivory in Dmc 6. It can block the future ranged weapon ideas but man, it just fits to Dante.

If you switch to gunslinger, enter devil trigger and charge the meteor while Vergil sends projectiles at you (your summon swords automatically repel them all), you can beat DMD Vergil in like 20 seconds with 150k red orbs ;)

You can farm tonnes of red orb in mission 13 with Hat set. Reach final wave, hat set all enemies and keep pressing Gunslinger style button and explode. When all enemies are dead, reload checkpoint. It's not a glitch or a bug but a good way to farm red orbs. Thanks developers.

also remember to press GS style button again the moment he catches the hat to use hat trick, pulls the enemies in to hit them again, stuns them and drains extra red orbs from them

I've literally said for years for various games that have new game Plus that there needs to be something for when you inevitably upgrade everything possible and have bookoodles of game currency stockpiled to make use of it. This is a great game mechanic imo bc if I'm on like my fifth playthrough and everything's purchased and upgraded it still gives me a reason to save red orbs Other mechanics could be a heal mechanic or converts it to whatever your super mode meter for a game is or like that armor from twilight princess it takes away your game currency instead of health when you get hit

The only dmc channel i really enjoy

Awesome video bro, though I beat this game some months ago, I still play the hell out of it, in addition to DMC 3. ... I executed that meteor-shower move, but it was by accident ( got a trophy in the process), but could not figure out what I pressed to perform the move. However, thanks again for the video.

That intro is so inspiring, it starts to become a trend to start the video and never start the game afterwards because I rather play some guitar than DMC after hearing that sweet intro.

One tip for devil sword dante I discovered is get used to holding the style button with swordmaster. It charges up the equivalent of round trip that lasts a decent while, staggers enemies, builds up a good chunk of style, persists through weapon/style swaps and like the rest of the extra swords, has no character animation. Might not be the best use of the weapon, but I find it very helpful.

Basically air combo with regular and neutral style button attacks in swordmaster jump cancel air taunt. Trickster trick up swordmaster repeat.. (Balrog and cerberus swtich ups are also possible)

I had no idea forward circle/b could be charged to different levels. Now I'm gonna try it.

Avoid getting hit on DMD from enemies wearing the hat, you WILL regret it, you'll lose more orbs than you can get back. I advise mastering a monster before putting a hat on it, LOL

This is up there with the foam finger from Dead Space 2 as one of my favorite lethal joke weapons ever

Enemies don’t attack you if they’re off screen.

I have done some “numbers” on this weapon and that Lv. 4 Faust, charge 3 red hot night (which btw takes exactly 10 seconds for full charge and only requires 150,000 red orbs to fire) dose exactly 10,400 damage.(granted the enemy doesn’t get hit away) That is MORE then enough damage to kill DMD devil triggered Virgle in one hit... so yes this move WILL one hit kill all normal and boss enemies regardless of any defense buff the enemy may have... have fun.

This hat is probably the main reason I’m just going to spawn in a trillion orbs once I unlock the taunts.

You can also use DT while charging the move so smaller enemies don't break the animation. Just in case you can't do the other options he listed to pull the move off. Dante doesn't stagger while in DT unless it's multiple hits from small enemies or a hit from a larger enemy.

Pretty much Ragtime although enemies like the Fury are good to use the charged buster arm on and the buster arm in general is a great in between for dishing out fast damage on Nero. I only abused Ragtime on bosses myself and most of the time enemies were a combination of Ragtime, Buster Arm, Gerbera for mobility and it's charged air special, and Punchline to keep more annoying enemies at bay whilst you take down the easier ones. I would say though if you want to just Ragtime all the way through..... It works well. Lol

to be honest bro you just gotta practice it at EVERY opportunity you get when playing as Nero. The consistency comes with muscle memory as it will naturally begin to happen without you even thinking about the timing. But you HAVE to practice the different timings between a normal ex-act and a MAX-act. the max-act is usually a frame or 2 sooner than ex-act

i started using it just because i needed to get all 3 million orbs for each character, i didn't know all characters shared the orbs i thought it was going to be like dmc 4 where both characters got the same souls but how you used them was individual.

Since i got literally backstabbed by one of that Double Scythe Enemies and a Scissor Sister as i was testing this on "dante must die" i can disconfirm that "enemies don't attack if they are offscreen" but it do work with Hell Caina and normal Empusa if they have no Devil Trigger on them. Plus when the Double Scythes have Devil Trigger they can and will Teleport away even if you bombard them with Dr. Fausts Orbs (Testet with the EU Version)

It's not so much that you'll never get attacked by an off screen enemy it's more enemies off screen attack alot less frequently. Which is why it's always advised to pinch one or two off to the side and pan the camera round to cut out the rest. Shadow Cats, Blitz, Nobodies, you always Stinger these fucks off to the side so you can deal with them or cut up the rest of the chaff first.

Can you start charging this on Vergil when he is preparing to dash around in Demon form and summon the meteors on his head and kill him? I don't have the red orbs to try this right now.

Dante is so strong he has emerald splash attacks for his hat

The enemies damaging you doesn't matter if you have also bought the skill "Get More Orbs" as all orbs are picked up instantly whether you or the enemy have dropped them. So with "Hat". It's all gains. Just be sure to buy Get More Orbs lol

Around 4:30 I see that you are throwing orbs at an enemy while still gaining more orbs. Is it because you've marked that enemy and are standing close to it to collect the orbs that come out?

In the Void Dr. Faust doesn't cost red orbs to do moves.

I have platinum thanks to the Faust Hat

Yeah I intend to use the Faust hat to farm red orbs so I can buy those special taunts

*Buys everything, maxes out all breakers* YAY now I can FINALLY use Faust! *Uses Faust once* Urgh...that felt gross...

The red hot night doesn't 1 shot everything. DMD m17 Urizen takes 4-5 max charge to kill him.
