TheRandomDude R great character design. Fast pace combat mechanic, done with style and epic music and of course good plot. You can try DMC3 first if you don't mind dated graphic.

@@Darksider087 this reply contains spoilers. theyre probably gonna focus on another character completely and i doubt it would be nero, the sons of sparda saga is over they claimed and nero is very much part of that saga. he essentially is a big part of the story. he is even the single reason why dante and vergil kind of work together at the end. sure they still fight but it seems like they kind of opened up to each other. this also makes me think that either one of them or both of them are gonna be villains in the next installment

@@112523 I think that if they do a dmc 6 then it would be primarily focused on nero due to what he gets at the end of the game and how our main man hands over the defense of the human world to nero. might be set a decently far amount of time into the future

Lets be real I was gonna get this game regardless if it sucked. Why? Because DMC is my weakness and my sin. It is in my total five of games franchises that I will buy at the drop of a hat because I love the series. Metal Gear, Resident Evil, God of War and The Batman arkham series are games I enjoy so much.

Farabi Rog Hell Yeah man!!! A remake or remaster of Dino Crisis 2 would be superb.

This game's combat is so deep I'm really having a difficult time masterin each character. I'm about 2/3 done on my first playthrough and still feel I haven't mastered any of the characters. I only played the reboot DmC which I was pretty damn good at tbh but I never realised how different the combat can be compared to the mainline series.

you probably wont master them during your second playthrough either, quite indepth, ive played the game completely 3 times i think, done many of the achievments, except s all difficulties, bloody palace and finish all difficulties. and still use basically only 3-4 of the moves per weapon regularly. i doubt one will be able to master all attacks within all playthroughs.

The DmC reboot with the alternate Dante is for beginners who want to get into the series. Start with DMC3 (PS2) if you want the real DMC.

You literally just press triangle and square over and over until you press circle and then it gives you SS for mashing three buttons. People complained about Atreus so there's no way anybody believes that V has deep combat.

Honestly man, this game left me wanting more only because I didn't want it to end. I had a fucking blast the whole time, and there were some straight up EPIC boss fights. And a few fan service moments that just had me smiling. It was maybe lacking in some areas, but as a whole I still think this is a masterpiece. Definitely top 3 in the series.

just finished dmc 5. made me want to play the rest. i loved the ending and it left me wanting dmc 6. would love to see an old and bloodied vergil and dante come out and just summon nero to the underworld (and maybe reference doom in some way).

Devil May Cry 1 was the first game I had on the ps2. I didnt get a memory card with my ls2 present so needless to say the co sole was on for weeks straight as I tried to beat the game as an 11 year old. Good times. Still one of my favorite games to this day!! Can't wait to play 5!!

Man I love DMC4, it was the first game that I played that had such high level graphics and game play, I was blown away by it, I still play it once in a while and I am really looking forward to buying DMC5 it is difficult to really grasp what it will be like in watching a video. I imagine the same for Final Fantasy games in how high level their details are but I just never got into that franchise, Devil May Cry, Doom and Diablo and Thief are pretty much all I play since my rehab from world of warcraft and everquest before that.

I love this series it never disappoints and for new fans there's a History of DMC video that explains the order and story of the past games just to give some back ground but all of them are definitely worth playing

It's more or less a spoiler since Nero started off with *NO* DT gauge whatsoever in this game. DT only available at the very end and only when you replay the missions. The fact the footage also showed Nero with an actual hand instead of Devil Breaker.

Thanks for these vids! These are always a part of my video game decision process!

As a PC gamer primarily, the fact that they were launching it on PC at the same time, right out the gate, they won me over right there. Unlike Rockstar, who makes us wait a year+ and often snubs us completely, or Square Enix, who gives us pure crap ports, with no fixes after (Nier.) CAPCOM has GENERALLY given good ports, especially in more recent releases. So I pre-ordered a new game. For the first time in over 10 years. I want them to know I appreciate them releasing it on PC right away, and bringing my favorite series back to it's roots.

I had the pleasure of preordering. Got that extra outfit for nero. That white is beautiful with those order of the sword insignias very flashy. Worth every dime that I spent. Favorite one is honestly probably this one. Because they tied up all the story lines

20 missions like dmc3 New sword new combos. R1 for sword combos. Has cool mods Need to log in twice to get all the dlc you pre purchased. Gold orb everyday No star Game asks your gamer data for Cameo Two selectable languages with 5 or 4 subtitles Use void to change costumes The arm you equip sometimes show up in cut scenes Bosses are hard but you have to unlock dmd mode to play on hard You can customise change weapon at the menu The menu view changes depending on missions cleared Only three playable character for now. Bloody palace coming soon. Balrog has two forms punch and kicking There was a light novel telling the backstory This takes place after 2 and 4 Bosses are very hard. Bosses don't go hard unless you play on higher modes like dmd Devil hunter mode is painful for casuals you need to use gold orbs for boss. Combos are very cool

Just got this with a PS4 and so far I'm loving it. Just be sure to play in Devil Hunter mode for a truly classic Devil May Cry experience ✌

I’m watching this after just buying the game and doing the first three or so missions on devil hunter. I’ve played through all of the other games, but I did not see anything about dmc 5 other than it being released, so I went in completely blind, relying on just liking the series as a whole, and it paid off because it is so good already. I’m excited for the subsequent playthroughs

I just got this game for free and can't wait to install it and play it over the weekend! Hopefully we get DLCs for this game to give more story content. I have never played the earlier DMC games. I just beat heaven or hell mode and bought the Vergil DLC. this was my first devil may cry game, tbh I only checked it out cause I got a rebellion replica sword as a Christmas gift. but it was pretty fun. idk if I am going to get any other games in this series, there are other games coming out soon that I want to play more. but this game was definitely really fun

You should get Vergil’s Yamato so you have both swords.

I'm normally against MTX in single player games, but this is a rare case where it seems appropriate to some players. If you've unlocked the same combos and skills four times now throughout the series, maybe you just want some orbs to start off with some of those skills in this new game. Some people may want to skip the *skill famine* phase as I call it because they want to get right into trying for SSS combos and beating things up. Others may just want to treat the game as a small burst title and don't want the first few bursts to be grinding orbs or wasting time with less enjoyable limitations. Ultimately they leave this up to the player rather than stack the deck. This is the most important part, that the core game was not adjusted to make the MTX fit. It comes down to whether you even care at all for them, then if the price is right. If you answer in the negative to either, no big deal. You still have the same great DMC5 in either case.

To me I think it is good to want more with the story after finishing the game. I think they probably did it on purpose to want you to play the next game. If the game sells a lot then that means we will probably get it sooner than we think.

Because DMCseries was first to make evolution & revolution for hack & slash action games ever ‼‼😈

I love how destructive the environments are in the boss battles.

That's basically just the first boss. Most bosses are standing in place shooting you, then rushing you, with no interaction with the environment.

Also keep in mind while playing as nero get you're stylish rank to B once you do that complete a taunt that will have nero to put his hood on during combat

I've been enjoying the hell out of this game, haven't quite beaten it yet, but it's been really enjoyable. The story is alright, I figured out the major twist by the first mission with V, but still enjoyable for what it is.

Can’t wait to get my copy, great video and your content is excellent.

Preordered the deluxe. Wasnt sure, but after seeing this gameplay TY Gameranx!

I can't believe at midnight tomorrow I'll be playing and loving every minute of it most likely.

I honestly just want a good game. The DMC series has always intrigued me, but I never had the chance to play any of them until now. This would be the first installment I've had the pleasure of playing, and I'm proud to say that I am (so far) extremely pleased with what I see.

Directly follows the events of Devil May Cry 4 (2008) rather than the series reboot, DmC: Devil May Cry (2013). The three pet demons V uses in combat are all based on "boss" characters from the first Devil May Cry game. Dante's appearance in this game is almost a blend of previous entries. For example, the distinct red coat which is one of the most iconic things about the character ever since the original, the facial hair / stubble as with his appearance in Devil May Cry 4, and a slight more black than usual (Dante wears a black t-shirt that is visible throughout the game) similar to his nearly all black appearance in Devil May Cry 2. Game is set after Devil May Cry 2 (2003) and Devil May Cry 4 (2008). V's demon pet Shadow was a boss character in the first Devil May Cry. Uses the RE Engine, the same game engine used for Resident Evil VII: Biohazard (2017) and the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 (1998). This is the first time the developers have went with a cinematic approach and using real life models for motion capture. Even though going with this method the developing team guaranteed that it would not hinder the classic stylish gameplay.

There’s a bundle on sale right now you’ll get all first four games for about 20 bucks I believe but it’s only during holiday sale

Game looks like crazy fun. Always wanted to try DMC and this looks like my way in.

Just imagine: Capcom and Platnium Games together. Best action nonsense game ever!

Platinum Games is just Capcom 2, the people who founded Platinum Games was composed of ex-Capcom employees.

DMC 5 is back and it is amazing. I spent 11 hours already and this game is a beast

Dmc6 needs to take place in the underworld where you play and Dante and Vergil. They take separate paths and end finding a Castle similar to the dmc1 castle and the Dmc3 tower.

Such a badass game love the music when your fighting

V is basically Capcom saying "Hey! Remember Chaos Legion?"

V is strong but not as badass as Sieg. His legions are very versatile, with 10 total in the novels. Nightmare is fierce but come on, Thanatos is godly. Also Sieg can fight by himself with added abilities from his legions .

What I really want is sastyfing interaction of nero and vergil with some father son talk you know😐

U guys made my day with the announcement of the Nunchucks coming back 😁

It's a fun game. Definitely worth a run through. Though I couldn't bring myself to replay any of it. No point in doing it again just for some costumes. Wish they would have added more things to shoot for. I would have loved to play as Virgil or maybe unlock the yamato.

The replay value is down to mastering the combat system, which is by far the deepest of this generation.

Just finished it. Pretty damn good, but now I see why a 6th entry is needed..... Also, I only got the standard edition, but I really wish they had made certain elements unlockable, instead of putting them in the deluxe edition. I really want to use the megaman devil breaker, but the other stuff in the deluxe version doesn't interest me. Oh well, i'm sure it will be on sale eventually, so I'll just wait. Now time to go replay the story 2 more times to get Dante must Die mode.......... hooray!

The game better than sekiro?

I really want bloody palace to have co-op option. Grinding through levels and fighting bosses with a friend(s) to create some sick team combos? Count me in! (Especially that from what I heard from reviews there are only few levels in the game that do the co -op thing - and sometimes you just see someone in the distance). Also addition of turbo mode (maybe even couple sped up modes), because from what I've seen and experienced in demo - the game feels just a little slow. Other than that - can't wait to get my hands on full game.

I love your videos bro, I always watch your videos when I'm thinking about which games buy now I have collection the best games for me like 30 games I want to buy now I got 16, also I want to thank also the commentaries from here because I read them to see good and bad critics.

Already pre-order it, still watch it.

i got this game for free from AMD from buying a video card from them over xmas sales, and i havent played a dmc game since the 4th game and before that was dmc 2, i loved the 2nd game and im hoping this plays similar

Nero and Dante play a lot like in 4 so it is basically a lot like 4. And it is much better than 2.

Well I only played dmc 4 but I loved it and I already played the dmc 5 demo and I loved it too I am kinda mad we don’t have nero’s devil arm which means no devil Trigger which looked so cool but Ive come to like his robotic arms and nice to see that there a lot more variations and I’m definitely buying this game when I can because I loved when Nero and Dante were together in dmc 4 and I need to see it again

It does affect the expirience . It allows you to start right from where you left off by buying virtual currancy.
