In addition to the well-documented bass issues, the biggest problem I have with this is there's only an HDMI eArc input...meaning I can't directly hook my blu-ray player up to it. Since I don't have an eArc TV being last of the 3D models and regular arc doesn't allow for high resolution (basically quite lame)...this is useless for me.

Tom, please take this gentle criticism in the spirit which it's given. TAS and hi-fi+ are excellent publications, due in no small part to having you at their helm. It makes sense to have a KZread presence, but you're not the guy for that seat. You represent the older/established audio demographic, and it makes much more sense to have a younger "face."

I'm very disappointed about the dione! I returned it to the store after 2 weeks due to the bass issues. It's a shame that as a user you can't adjust anything with regard to the volumes, including the bass and center channel volume. The bass level suppresses the center channel and all sounds like one big bass mass! Not to mention the problem that the volume is very low on streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ I had to turn the volume up to almost level "80/85" for a bit of volume in a 30 square meters room, really terrible! The store I bought it from was experiencing the same issues regarding the weak volume on streaming services. Regarding the Atmos sound/effect, it is also very disappointing and not really noticeable. DEVIALET! FIX THIS! 😬

@@zenhaven506 very poor power supplies, damping factors are small, capacitance is small, and I think they all sound and perform very poorly. Basically with their electronics is a computer board that implements audio in a fancy case. Their speaker although very high tech , certainly cant compare to a normal passive speaker of that same price, and certainly not the performance of an active speaker for that price. Its a lifestyle brand for people with deep pockets and little understanding of audio. Thanks for the question ;)
